Attack of the 'mons!

Who: Rampaging Pokémon and YOU!
Where: Goldenrod City, various locations.
When: Feb 14th, early morning to afternoon.
What: Brainwashed Pokémon and Bowser's minions attack!
Rating: Not sure, but there will be lots of violence. These Pokémon will go all out on humans. Injuries may occur.

[It's about 10 AM when it happens.

The ground within Goldenrod City rumbles. It starts out as a series of small vibrations before growing, escalating. Smoke, fire, and roars soon follow.

It's impossible to miss the Pokémon as they make their rampage. Two Ninetales dash through the streets, yowling, howling, growling away, spewing flames at anyone and anything that crosses their paths. Will-o-Wisps to induce burns, Confuse Ray, bites, scratches, bursts of flame. They're not alone, either. Those who manage to get a good look at them may notice their eyes look remarkably bloodshots, while their pupils appear as little slits.

A Venomoth takes to the air, sprinkling powder attacks and unleashing blasts of Psychic and Poison attacks. Perhaps even some Supersonic.

The earthquakes progress through the town, drawing closer to the Department Store. The cause? One cackling Torterra, stomping her feet and throwing around rocks, grass type moves, and all sorts of terrible tricks. She's joined by a drooling Swampert, who grumbles and snarls, and starts launching water, ground, and physical based attacks. He's the first to burst through the Department Store doors; the Ninetales soon follow suit.

But perhaps the most frightening of all is the Salamence swooping in, tongue dangling from his mouth, a giddy grin on his face. Those facing Rex may find themselves facing his terrifying fangs, claws, and massive weight; at 12', he's nearly three times the size of your average Salamence. With no sense of empathy, he sees everyone and everything as 'playmates'...

In other words, expect attempted mauling.

But who's the one orchestrating this mess? And will any brave heroes step forward to silence these beasts before the mayhem escalates?

Either way, you better hurry! The city won't save itself.]

[ooc: There will be no major property damage, but there will be damage nonetheless. Most replies will come from [personal profile] koopacrew; Bowser himself is largely keeping out of sight.

More details here.]

[Just when she expected this day to be a happy day, the worst happen. After that whole cookie fiasco, Misaki's definitely pinning the blame on Bowser. Knowing Temerarie worked nearby at the Department Store, she shot a fast text to him asking if he's there and needs help before getting down to business.]

[For now, her primary targets are the rampaging Ninetales in the streets and the Venomoth in the air, assuming there might be others going against who's been using the Earthquakes. Both Madoka and Blindy were surveying the air for the Venomoth while Wani and Ruka were ground level besides Misaki, ready to take on the Ninetales. Akatsuki was also taken out but he's nowhere to be seen. Since he's had a knack for battle strategies, maybe he has some sort of idea...]

[The Ninetales can expect a double layer of Toxic Spikes coming towards Misaki's way, as well as an oversized brutish Feraligatr powered up by Helping Hand beforehand.]

[The Ninetales hiss when the Toxic Spikes come into play, one of them firing off a Confuse Ray in retaliation, while the other unleashes Will-o-Wisp.

The Venomoth seems to be spraying powders wherever she flies while screeching out SuperSonic. They're going to have to play it safe if they don't want to get nailed by statuses, but at least they have a type advantage on their side to make up for a level gap.]

[Luckily both of them manage to miss the Will-O-Wisp but the Confuse Ray managed to hit the Feraligatr, who was fully ready of attacking the two fire types with an Aqua Tail. That's not going to be good.]

[As Wani was attempting to hit something with his Aqua Tail, Ruka on the other hand sent an Earth Power towards the one who sent that Confuse Ray. How dare they made her friend become a danger to himself and everyone!]

[The two spotted the Venomoth preoccupied with sending out statuses attacks and were making out a plan for themselves before going after the purple moth. After a small moment, only Blindy went came after the Venomoth, attempting to shoot an Attract to at least distract her a bit. In the mean time, Madoka was trying to stay out of sight as she prepped for a Sky Attack as seen by her glowing body.]

[The Ninetales tries to run, but the Earth Power knocks it clean off its feet. Tails twitching, it lets out a howl before its eyes start to glow. Poison types hate Psychic attacks, so have some Extrasensory!

The other Ninetales, in the mean time, rushes forward with some Foul Play! Might not be super effective, but it's sure to hurt. Maybe even knock that pesky trainer down, hssss.

As for the Venomoth, due to enduring two months of mind alterations, Attract doesn't have the same effect it would on a fully aware Pokémon. The blast does briefly distract her, however, and she screeches and flails her wings, wide open for that Sky Attack.]

[Ruka let out pained growl as she was struck by the psychic attack. The attack left her so much pain, she couldn't make another move against the Ninetails for now. Wani, on the hand, was still in a confused rush and ran in the direction of the foxes to try to use Aqua Tail on them.]

[Seeing the distraction was made, Madoka went in for the kill as the Swoobat used a Heart Stamp on the Venomoth as well. Hopefully with Madoka's Super Luck effect, she would be able to do much more damage.]

[One Ninetales unleashes Extrasensory again. The other blasts an Energy Ball out of its mouth right before the Aqua Tail strikes.

The poison makes them writhe and whimper, but in their current mindsets, the pain hardly registers. That, and the constant chanting of Decimate... Fight... Exterminate... in their heads certainly doesn't help. They must keep going! They must destroy. Destroy, destroy...

They definitely have a time limit to do just that, however.

And that Sky Attack makes the Venomoth scream. If the levels were more evenly matched, it might've even put her in the red! In this case, she's got enough bite left to launch another Ominous Wind at the Swoobat before fluttering over to a nearby rooftop in an attempt to Roost.]

[The Extrasensory definitely took out the Nidoqueen that time and she collapsed. While the Energy Ball did indeed struck, it didn't seem to faze him. Instead,it seems to have encouraged him to take the risk of knocking out these foxes, as well as making him more brutish than he normally acts as seen with his now slit-like eyes. Torrent ability at its finest.]

[The Feraligatr seems to have abandoned its plan to use Aqua Tail the entire time and went straight to using Hydro Pump on the both of the Ninetails. As Wani did his business, Misaki ran over to Ruka to check out how she was doing. She's out pretty cold. Misaki looked around, trying to figure out where her Rapidash has gone.]

Fuck, where is he...

[Was the weather expecting raining horses on fire? Sounds like a ridiculous question but one is apparently heading straight for one of the Ninetails. Gotta love the Bounce attack, huh?]

[That Ominous Wind just kicked the Swoobat out of the air due to his low level, leaving Madoka alone to fend for the Venomoth. Usually she'd cause a panic with all the pressure but no, this was a life or death situation. She can't chicken out now.]

[She preps up for another Sky Attack and starts flying at top speed towards the Venomoth in an attempt to make contact before she used Roost. C'mon Super Luck, work with her here.]

[Water and bouncing? Oh, those infernal brats...

But, fine. If you wish to play dirty, then perhaps it's time to take some drastic measures.

The Ninetales cringe as the water bursts their way and the Rapidash falls from the sky. Had their minds not been assaulted for months on end, they might even flee. Instead? One of the Ninetales throws itself forward in an attempted Payback at the Feraligatr. That torrent-boosted water move stung, and it's not about to let that slide!

The other hisses before burrowing into the ground, missing the water by a hair.

On the upside, they are wearing down. Snorceror simply refuses to let them faint just yet...

And that Sky Attack's cutting it close. Too close. In a last ditch effort to defend herself, the Venomoth latches onto the incoming Unfeazant with a STAB Poison Fang.

She takes the damage, of course, leaving her in critical condition. It really wouldn't take much to wipe her out.]

[ Wani was just about to move in to Crunch down on one of the Ninetales before being struck by the Payback attack. Since that previous Energy Ball had done so much damage to him and Payback's boosted attack in effect, the Feraligatr is left unable to battle, much to his team's dismay. The Rapidash, who was observing the Ninetail's moves after he made his dramatic entrance, made a disgruntled noise and jumped back into the air, prepping for another Bounce attack.]

[Misaki was biting her lip as she called back her two fainted pokemon back into their balls. Two - possibly three of her pokemon were already defeated and none of the attacking pokemon don't seem to show any sign of giving up. She still had one in her bag but said pokemon was at a severe level and type disadvantage to the Ninetales. Still, it was all or nothing here.]

[The girl reached into her bag and threw out the last pokeball she had.] Come out, Mukade!

[Out comes a smaller than average Scolipede who looks fully prepared to take on anything, even that Ninetales up ahead. Before Misaki could give any command to the overgrown centipede, the Scolipede already ran ahead, using Venoshock on the Ninetales ahead. Since either of the Ninetails were already poisoned, the move should do more damage than usual, right?]

[Madoka was coming in too fast to dodge the Poison Fang attack and just let the Venomoth did its move on her. It did a decent amount of damage on her, as well as badly poisoning her. Luckily, her poisoned status was what she need for a boosted Facade attack on the Venomoth before she succumbed to the poisoning.]

[And the Venoshock definitely does knock one of the Ninetales off of its feet, writhing as it tries to regain footing and strike with a fire attack. But the poison... Ngh, the poison. Can't it just rest a little? Rest... then destroy. Rest... destroy.

The other Ninetales swerves in from its burrow, attempting to land a Dig attack on that poor Scolipede. It, too, is on its last legs, however.

And that Facade sends the moth crashing into the ground, eyes whirling from dizziness, wings flailing weakly. At least that's one down and another nearly there, eh?]
