Attack of the 'mons!

Who: Rampaging Pokémon and YOU!
Where: Goldenrod City, various locations.
When: Feb 14th, early morning to afternoon.
What: Brainwashed Pokémon and Bowser's minions attack!
Rating: Not sure, but there will be lots of violence. These Pokémon will go all out on humans. Injuries may occur.

[It's about 10 AM when it happens.

The ground within Goldenrod City rumbles. It starts out as a series of small vibrations before growing, escalating. Smoke, fire, and roars soon follow.

It's impossible to miss the Pokémon as they make their rampage. Two Ninetales dash through the streets, yowling, howling, growling away, spewing flames at anyone and anything that crosses their paths. Will-o-Wisps to induce burns, Confuse Ray, bites, scratches, bursts of flame. They're not alone, either. Those who manage to get a good look at them may notice their eyes look remarkably bloodshots, while their pupils appear as little slits.

A Venomoth takes to the air, sprinkling powder attacks and unleashing blasts of Psychic and Poison attacks. Perhaps even some Supersonic.

The earthquakes progress through the town, drawing closer to the Department Store. The cause? One cackling Torterra, stomping her feet and throwing around rocks, grass type moves, and all sorts of terrible tricks. She's joined by a drooling Swampert, who grumbles and snarls, and starts launching water, ground, and physical based attacks. He's the first to burst through the Department Store doors; the Ninetales soon follow suit.

But perhaps the most frightening of all is the Salamence swooping in, tongue dangling from his mouth, a giddy grin on his face. Those facing Rex may find themselves facing his terrifying fangs, claws, and massive weight; at 12', he's nearly three times the size of your average Salamence. With no sense of empathy, he sees everyone and everything as 'playmates'...

In other words, expect attempted mauling.

But who's the one orchestrating this mess? And will any brave heroes step forward to silence these beasts before the mayhem escalates?

Either way, you better hurry! The city won't save itself.]

[ooc: There will be no major property damage, but there will be damage nonetheless. Most replies will come from [personal profile] koopacrew; Bowser himself is largely keeping out of sight.

More details here.]

[Shell Smasher bellows a roar, smashing her way through the front door. The ground rattles, rumbles, and shakes. Beware her terrifying earthquakes!

The Charizard illusion, though, catches her eye. Hope ya like rocks, you silver-haired guy!

Why is this all being written in rhyme? Who knows, who cares? It's battle time!]

[Nami and Aura aren't affected by the earthquakes, being up in the air, but Sora stumbles as he approaches his opponents, aborting his attempt to use Ember.

Rep also stumbles, narrowly managing to avoid falling onto his partner...and also narrowly managing to miss the cascade of rocks that nearly lands on him a couple seconds later, some bouncing off of the floor and landing on his legs. He's never seen a Pokémon attack a trainer directly, and hates being mostly defenseless. If that's going to be how it is, he'll look for something to use as a weapon.

Meanwhile, Nami and Aura have taken to swooping around the Ninetales that followed Shell Smasher in. Or were, until Aura gets clipped by a rock, forcing Nami to snatch him out of the air as soon as the illusion is gone.]

[You idiots are at a major disadvantage! So much that the Torterra belts out a crackling laugh, slamming her feet into the floor two more times!

The Ninetales, in the mean time, spew flames every which way, unafraid of burning the items on the shelves. Better think fast, Rep!]

[They're at a major disadvantage in several ways, not including the giant level gap between the teams. Nami brings her buddy back, dropping him to Rep--he lands in Rep's lap, as the assault on the floor knocks the poor guy down just as he was getting back up--and returns to go after the Ninetales, avoiding the flames to try to get a Peck in. Or hit one of them with Hypnosis, either one.

Rep, on the other hand, makes his way behind a shelf, having a quick conversation with Aura, who runs for the stairs going up. The trainer himself gets back up (barring another earthquake), grabbing several items off of the nearby shelf and chucking them at the attacking mons. They're probably gonna get destroyed, why not?]

[Peck? Pfffahaha. Like that would graze two level 100's, birdy! But she gets an A for effort before one of the Ninetales launches a Flamethrower. The other does get hit with Hypnosis, though.

But, hey, Smasher's still here, ya morons! Still here and launching a Rock Slide attack again.]
