Log:

Early in the morning, Ren had left to visit the Pokémon center in the city. He had had an important task to do - something he should have done ages ago. He had left a note saying that he might not be coming back in a while (in case there would be jail time for his actions)... only to come back later during the day. It seems like the note he had left had been for nothing.

He was carrying another note that had information on where and what he would be doing for community service time. That single note was the cause of Ren being grumpier than he had been in the longest time. Picking up trash. In winter. The damned Johto Police and their silly punishments.

Then again, it was probably better than actually being in jail. It also felt like he's been lied to the whole time he had been there. It hadn't been that difficult to leave the Team. It was all just to scare them, wasn't it?

Sighing, he sat down on a chair and tossed the piece of paper onto the table next to him. He might as well take the rest of the day easy since it was the last chance in a while.

"Pleased to meet you! So, what were you before this place ambushed you?"

[saxsongs]

He's not really sure what to answer that. Then again, he didn't have a reason to lie and he wasn't one anymore, so...

"A Team Rocket Grunt. Got into some trouble with my bosses and now I'm here."

"Oh! That's cool, but I meant the world actually. What's it like in there anyway?"

[saxsongs]

"Oh." Well, he couldn't have know that. "I was a singer in a country called Japan. The closest resemblance to it is Goldenrod."

He considered this for a moment and studied him. "You were good. Do you still sing?"

[saxsongs]

"Yeah, I do. I've sing twice on the network, too... just haven't had the time in a while."

[itsjustdust]

"If you ever feel like it, I'll totally give you a listen."

[saxsongs]

"Once things calm down, I might be up to it."

[itsjustdust]

"Oh man. I hope you mean with you cause my side of the world is on permanent clusterfuck."

[saxsongs]

"Yeah, I meant my situation. It should be fine after a week or two", Ren said as an explanation. "What's the deal with you anyway?"

"We're in hiding. Hi. Don't tell people me or cousin are here and it's all cool."

[saxsongs]

"No worries. I'm hiding here as well, so I wouldn't tell about others hiding here."

[itsjustdust]

"Ohhh so this is basically the overall safehouse then. Good to know."

[saxsongs]

"I guess it is. I was just dragged here by Miss Farron", he shrugs. "I guess this is a good place to hide, since most Rockets are at the center of Johto."

"True. Um. Are we even still in Johto?"

[saxsongs]

"We are. On the west side of it."

[itsjustdust]

"Okay. I wasn't actually totally sure. Getting here was pretty hectic."

[saxsongs]

"I can only imagine."

[itsjustdust]

"I'm a little worried about things but stressing won't help, right?"

[saxsongs]

"It really won't. We just need to take one step at a time."

[itsjustdust]

"Exactly! What kind of music do you do anyway?"

[saxsongs]

"Usually pop, at least when I'm performing with our band. Though I sometimes play music like jazz with a saxophone..."

[itsjustdust]

"Huh. I'm not sure I know what a Saxophone is but it sounds nifty!"

[saxsongs]

"I can show you one someday. I left mine when I had to leave Goldenrod, so I'll have to get a new one... so it'll be a while."

[itsjustdust]

He huffed, then gave him a wry smile. "Ah well, it'll happen eventually!"
