Meeting in Pewter City

Summary: Shiraishi and Valeria finally meet in person.

[Shiraishi was waiting inside the Pokémon Center for Valeria to arrive. They had arranged a meeting for when Shiraishi would arrive to Pewter City and settled down a bit. He was a bit early though, but he didn't mind waiting. After spending almost two weeks in a forest, sitting in the Pokémon center felt like nothing.

With him was his starter, a Roserade, who had been in the PC box for so long it was time for her to be out once in a while. ]

[ Pretty shy, yes, on occasion, and the Mudkip isn't about to have any of that. She moves behind Valeria and starts nosing the Riolu out. C'mon. Out, out, out! ]

She is. She's a Mudkip. I think she evolves into a Water-Ground type.

[The Roserade will try to tell the Riolu there's nothing to worry about and lure him out.]

She seems energetic... while the Riolu seems a little shy?

He is.

[ Enough that Valeria has to offer him a small head pat and push to get him to step out alongside the Roserade's reassurances. He does, but he seems a bit awkward, looking back up at his trainer, then to the Roserade again. Shy waving, that's what he offers. ]

I'm not sure why. It takes him a bit to warm up to people and other Pokemon, though, unless he's with Boco. Needless to say, my Mudkip hasn't had any sort of problems like that.

Well, some Pokémon are just shy in the beginning, I guess. My Nidoran was the same before evolving into Nidorino.

[Roserade offers a kind wave and introduces herself formally.]

Your Nidorino was more outspoken, then?

[ And her Riolu will offer a rather shy introduction, glancing nervously back up to his trainer. She gives him a little nod and he manages to finish it. ]

Yeah. He's one of the bravest Pokémon I have now.

Hopefully Guy here will find his feet, then. I'm sure he has it in him somewhere.

I'm sure he does. From what I've seen, all Lucarios are rather confident.

Are they? Maybe I should introduce him to a few. If I recall correctly, Rose has one...

I have a Lucario as well. Actually, he's one of the ones I'm planning on taking out for a walk. It's been a while since he's been out, after all.

Maybe we could arrange for a playdate sometime? If it wouldn't be too much trouble, of course.

It wouldn't be any trouble at all. I'm sure Takeshi wouldn't mind either.
