What he's doing isn't morally sound.
Who: Sanji
curly_brow , Robin
oharas_child , Luffy
little_anchor [Closed] (Post order: Sanji > Robin until Luffy sort of wakes up, then Sanji > Robin > Luffy)
Where: Route 46; Bottom, by the Dark Cave
When: July 27th, Afternoon
Summary: Robin meets the crewmates she never knew she had--and, for once they don't want to burn her island and kill her best friend.
Rating: PG-13 if only for Sanji's swearing.
Log:
Sanji already banked on Luffy being knocked out for when he finally found Robin. There was something about a crewmate being left alone and without any help that got to him--and in this instance, he was really, truly at a loss. He couldn't have said that it was dedication to a woman he loved, since Robin didn't recognize him and she really was just a child at the moment. Thoughts coursing in his head, Sanji could only really wonder what he would say that would help her trust him. But, he'd find a way. It was his duty to protect a lady... rather, an eventual lady. Especially Robin, who he knew would turn into an amazing lady, of course.
Drugging Luffy didn't take much. He couldn't spend too much money on the basics, so he was resorting to crushing up regular sleeping pills. Luckily, the idiot didn't find those when he was rooting around for food. Huffing, Sanji watched Luffy as he ate, realizing that it would take awhile. He was cleaning a few of the pans he used to cook along the shore of the lake they were passing to reach Route 46, absently looking back to see if his tiny captain was getting woozy, yet. His eyes set down on Luffy, only five feet away from him, trying to find a comfortable spot on the ground before curling up into a ball and falling asleep. Rather swiftly. Sanji twitched in response, trying to keep his blood vessels from tying themselves into knots--putting his cooking equipment back on their hooks before picking up Luffy to continue along the path.

They were... somewhere.
"Hnn... Sannnnji?" he mumbled. "Where 're we?"

The thought that drove him through that ridiculous pain was a simple one. The shitty marimo took all of Luffy's pain all at once and he refused to share it. So what if he died? It would have protected Luffy--who could protect the entire crew, especially Nami and Robin. They could find another cook, couldn't they? It drove him crazy, just thinking about how much Zoro and Luffy suffered while he left those fights without the worst scars. Sanji cupped his free hand underneath his sternum, feeling those fractured bones rubbing at his muscles. Pinching them and ripping them slowly--those small pangs were turning into surges in his sides, regardless of the treatment from before.
But, Sanji carried Luffy and his supplies without losing pace. Breaking into the clearing of Route 46, Sanji looked around, raising his voice. "Robin?"

"Licki?" he just turned his head and looked at her, confused. Robin covered her face with her hand for a second, frustrated.
"LICKI LICKI LICKI!!!!" he ambled over to where she was hiding, noisy as anything and completely giving her position away. Robin tried to shush him, only to realize she was making a lot of noise, herself.

At the shout, Luffy's head perked up. His hand shifted the straw hat back in place and he gave Sanji a silly grin. "We're looking for Robin? She's cool!" he said. "Told me to put a flower on your face. Riiight here."
And with that, he tried to poke Sanji's cheek, already turning his face towards the strange repetitive noise. "Hey Sanji... Whassat?"

But, the second he heard the yelling, he couldn't exactly think wholly on the depressing problems he'd have to face in Sabaody Archipelago. "What?" Sanji looked to and fro, grimacing. "Robin-chan?" The thing she traveled with was a Lickitung as far as he could remember--and, since those things communicated by repeating their own names, it seemed clear she'd be close to it.
"Robin-chan! I won't chase you, but I still want to protect you! Will you come on out?" Though, he was starting to follow that noise from her Lickitung, slowly getting closer with his captain in tow. It would have been easier to have EMS lift the child, but if he had a pokemon out, it would have been fairly threatening. Better to walk in with at little physical presence as possible. ...Sans the drugged child he carried.

Food sounded really good. She could sneak away later, if she found that they were going to be a threat.
Robin stood up slowly, looking for all the world like she was scared out of her mind and ready to run at a moment's notice. But she stood still where she was, just in front of her Lickitung.
"I'm here," she said.

When Robin came out of hiding, he grinned and waved. "Hiiii Robin!" he called to her. "What's thaaaat?"
He wanted to touch it, but in Sanji's grip, he couldn't do much; so he started struggling a little. "Sanji put me down, I wanna see her pokémon!"

"Don't rush her, you little moron." He frowned, reaching up to touch the back of his neck. "You're fine with this, Robin-chan?" Sounding incredibly hopeful, Sanji just tried to smile.
"You can see what I've got to cook and you can pick what you want for yourself." Though, his eye twitched at the Lickitung. It looked much worse in person.

"It's..." she looked at Luffy for a second. Didn't the blond one say he'd drugged him? "It's not going to put me to sleep is it?"
