Twinbuns in Kanto!
Who: Tenten and Joonhee, possibly others.
Where: Saffron City!
When: Evening May 21st
Summary: Tenten gets off the train in Saffron to finally see her nii-san after almost two months.
Rating: I can't imagine why it wouldn't be G.
The last time she was in Saffron, it had been after a swirl of activity via fliers and rushed explanations on how she'd gotten to this world and who they were going to see. This visit promised to be a little less rushed than getting to Riku's birthday party had been, but right now, she was more excited than she'd been in a while. After all, the last time she'd gotten to see Joonhee was prom, and even then she hadn't gotten to do too much with him.
As she got off the train, she pulls out a Pokéball to release Feng beside her, then pull out her 'gear. In case she couldn't find Joonhee, she'd have to call him...

He spots her first, smiling easily and waving at her. Yoonjae is, of course, by his side as always but he’s brought Dongwook and Doraji as well since they were the ones that Tenten was probably most familiar with. Tantan would have been there as well if not for the fact that Yoonjae had just removed him again. Just as well, he didn’t really get along with Feng anyways.
“Long ride?” It’s a pointless question, he’s never heard of the train ride being any more or less than six hours, it’s exceptionally punctual. Six hours is a long time to be sitting around for someone like Tenten though. He offers a juice box to her and an empty can (for Feng). “Do you want to do a lap around the city before heading back to the inn?”
He’s only half joking.

"Nii-san!" She slips the 'gear into her pocket and breaks into a run, stumbling a little from having been cooped up in a train car for six hours, before launching into a tight hug. Juice boxes can come later (though Feng immediately takes the can), and she just finally lets herself relax.
"Laps later," she grumbles with a soft laugh before pulling back and taking the offered juice box. It's too hot for long hugs. "It's good to see you! And you, Yoonjae-chan." Not so much a -chan anymore, though she crouches down to look at Dongwook and Doraji. "Look at you guys, too!"

“It feels like it’s been a long time, doesn’t it?” He reaches out to pat Feng carefully, unlike Joonhee’s pokemon he still looks pretty much the same.
“They’re all really big now; they’re carrying me instead of the other way around.” It’s probably not something he’ll ever get used to. He nudges Dongwook to stand up, partly to show his full height and partly because his vigorous tail thumping is kicking up dust and stray leaves. He towers over all of them but still yips like an excited puppy.

"You raised them well, huh?" She shushes Feng and gives Dongwook a quick scratch behind the ears. So big!
"Do you want to see the others, or did you want to head to the hotel first?"

Dongwook just howls loudly in response, tail wagging so quickly that he actually creates a bit of a breeze. A warm, sticky breeze.
“Ah…I think maybe the hotel first. At least until the sun sets and it cools down a bit. Wonnie and Jungie are waiting back at the hotel anyways, so you can meet them first.”

She covers her ears in reflex at Dongwook's howl and laughs, giving his ears another quick scratch before glancing back at Feng. "Come on, you, let's go."
The razorbird stretches his wings and crows in agreement, eyeing the other Pokémon before falling in behind her, part-flying, part-hopping. "I could totally go for some mochi right about now, though. Or some kind of cool snack. Think there'll be something at the hotel?"

“I made watermelon hwachae, so there’s that back at the hotel to help cool down. We can try to find mochi later if you want.”
Thankfully the hotel isn’t a horribly long walk away. The sudden rising heat has been uncomfortable, summers in Busan were much milder compared to this. He’s relieved when they arrive, even if it means he has to put Dongwook back into his pokeball. He’s too big to comfortably sit around inside a hotel room, besides he radiates heat like a giant heater and Joonhee’s sure no one would enjoy that.
He sighs in relief when they step inside the air conditioned hotel. He honestly hopes Tenten isn’t serious about running laps together. It’ll be cooler once the sunsets but it won’t completely get rid of the heat induced sense of lethargy.
“I got you a separate room but if you want to hang around in my room you can come over when you like.” He pulls out a card key for Tenten. The rooms are spacious enough to share but he’s been here long enough that he doesn’t have to budget so carefully anymore. Actually, he has more spending money here than he ever did back home.

The air-conditioning is great; even if it was a short walk, it was way too hot and humid around here. Once the sun sets, though, fair game for laps.
"I think I'd be happy staying on the floor after all the travelling I've been doing. I kind of wish all the Gyms were in one city, you know?" She follows him to the room, and as soon as it's open, she drops down on the bed with a contented sigh. That was your bed? Borrowing it for the moment.
