I don't mind at all. This is Johto, and it's a nexus of worlds, so to speak - people are drawn here from different worlds and times, for reasons unknown. And the creature in the ball is a pokemon - think of it as a fiduspawn.

It's your partner in this place, and Vulpix is its species, not its name. You get to name it yourself.

[No matter how long he stared or how much he blinked, this place just remained as it was. If this was the ideal future he was dreaming of, it sure was filled with people that wore lame clothes, and had weird, really weird pets.]

I can understand the concept of something pulling us to one place, without any reason or understanding as to why or how, because there are something that exceed what we know ourselves and therefore would not be outside the realm of possibility. So I'll accept this and see what I can do in this world with these Pokemon. However there is a question I have to bring up because I'm rather certain I don't feel comfortable referring to Vulpix, as "it", however at the same time I don't want to be rude in assuming that pokemon fall under the same gender classifications as most creatures. But if they did, I'm sure he or she would much rather be referred to properly and not talked about as some sort of object with no intelligence. From what I can gather, they seem intelligent enough to understand what we say and therefore have just as many rights to be offended by what we say as any other person would. Do you know if there's a way to find out the gender of a Pokemon, if they do indeed have genders, and if not do you know what they prefer to go by?
