the most romantic of anniversaries
Who: John Egbert and Rose Lalonde
Where: Saffron City
When: Saturday, 6/8 (evening)
Summary: John and Rose go out to dinner for their 2nd anniversary, only for John to keep glitching out of it because the dummy caught a glitch Pokémon and boxed it. It becomes an anniversary to remember.
Rating: PG-13 for (probably) cursing and John inevitably glitching into the tub with Rose. (but nothing naughty happened)
[Sometimes, John finds himself unable to believe that it's really only been two years since they started dating. Somehow, it just seems like it's always been a thing. And at other times, he finds himself stunned that his relationship with Rose has actually lasted two years. Because, gurl, you really could do loads better. Not that John is complaining.]
[In any case, this Saturday evening finds the two dressed up quite sharply and headed to a nice restaurant in Saffron. Not too much of a to-do, but a nice, quiet evening spent in each other's company, never the less. Or at least...that's what they assumed it would be. Little did they know that the glitch running rampant through Pokémon Land had other plans.]
[After waiting a few minutes for a table, the two were seated at a cozy little booth in a back corner of the restaurant. Ahhh, romantic candlelit dinners. Aren't they to die for?]

you cannot hide the truth from your fiance, it's just not possible.

I will inform Dave that he will have to make room for you on the couch.
I'm sure the two of you would love to snuggle with each other.

speaking of dave, guess where i am now?
again.

just a coincidence.
one that i am not complaining TOO much about because at least it means i am in the right city again.
though somehow i doubt it'll happen again.
anyway, i'm on my way back.
also, did you know he can actually cook???
dave i mean.
no subject
And honestly?
I'm not surprised.
Considering how much time he spent with Jane.
Plus we Strilondes have very sophisticated tastes.
He would have to learn at some point.
no subject
i actually thought he was living off microwave dinners and takeout this whole time.
but hold on a second, wtf?
if that's true (which, btw, he was just making pasta) then how come i always do the cooking?!
how come you aren't learning to cater to your own "sophisticated" tastes???
(quotes because you are actually just picky.)

Being the eldest son in the family, he conforms to the archetype of strong, independent first born.
He insists on doing things for himself, praised more for following those instincts than allowing others to work for him.
It's imperative that he learns these basic living skills if he wishes to continue keeping that silver spoon in his mouth.
I, however, am the youngest daughter.
Not only that, but I grew up in a rich household that made it fairly known they were rich, with the lavish decorations and statues.
The archetype that I fit into means I shouldn't have to lift a thumb when it comes to my well being.
I should be surrounded by servants willing to clean my clothes, make my bed, cook my meals and bathe me should I so desire.
Of course, I don't desire any of that.
But the point is, I am not expected to learn to cook just to suit my tastes.
If you do not wish to cook for me, I can simply order out instead.
You merely have to say the word, John. <3

[Really, John, that's what you got out of that?]

If I was calling you a servant, I would inform you that if you didn't want to cook I would fire you.
Not that I would simply order out instead.
no subject
it's okay though, rose.
because luckily for you
[Did he accidentally hit send to early or something? Missing half a sentence there.]

Because luckily for you, I like cooking! And I have no real complaints about cleaning either. [A quick kiss to her cheek before he pulls away and takes his seat once more.]

[Sarcasm or not? We just don't know. But John is going to just nom away at this salad if that's alright.]
no subject
[[Sarcasm or not, it doesn't really matter to her. And that is of course perfectly alright. Who knows when he might be whisked away again!]]

It's fine John. Besides, I don't believe I could eat cake made by anyone else but you.
