cowgirls don't cry
Who: Harry Truman & Heather Mason
Where: The Saffron City Justice Farm
When: Backdated to around May 8th!
Summary: Harry's gonna see a girl about a horse.
Rating: G
Log:
It's been a while since Harry's last been on horseback, but he likes to think he still knows a thing or two about riding. And even if it for some reason turns out all that knowledge has disappeared, he's still pretty good with pokémon, so he's sure he can help Heather with... whatever it is she needs. There seemed to be something urgent about her request, though he has no idea why.
And then there's the whole fire thing.
That's a little worrying.
But he's excited to see Heather again, anyway, circumstances be damned.

Since Cooper left, actually, she hasn't been been up there at all aside from venturing forth to retrieve Tricia after the Manectric had gotten out of the hotel room and romped all the way back up to the farm in search of her real trainer.
But before everyone's favorite FBI agent disappeared, the girl had been a fairly frequent visitor, whether it was to see the people in the house or just let her Pokemon run loose on the premises.
Still, the path holds its familiarity as she trudged up to it, even though she'd never seen it during the summer. It's strange for it to actually feel lonelier when everything is in full bloom than it had when the leaves were all dying and the grass going the bone-white of winter.
Needless to say, she appears eventually, coming down the road-- and there's a familiar blue-and-yellow canine with her that breaks into a run when Harry came into view. Tricia skids to a halt in front of the steps and nudges her muzzle urgently under Harry's hand for PETTINGS.

Which is why he's been outside so much, lately, parked on either of the porches with his team running around. Today, though, he's alone, stretched out on the front steps as he waits for Heather. His head is resting on the railing, and he's almost asleep —
But then there's a cold nose in his hand and he sits up with a start. "Wh—?"
Oh, right.
"Tricia. Hi." And where there's Tricia, there must be Heather. Harry looks up after paying attention to the Manectric for a moment, then waves his free hand at Heather in greeting. "Hey!"

Heather, meanwhile, strides up with her hands in her pockets. She's ditched the leather coat she's been practically glued-into for the past few months on account of the heat-- wearing a smaller brown one instead. The smile on her face is surprisingly casual and easygoing for someone who was clearly hiding some serious stuff, but then, she had a lot of practice when it came to seeming like less was up than actually was.
"Hey, Sheriff. Sorry I'm a bit late."
REMEMBER THAT TIME I RECTONNED MADDY OUT OF MY OWN POST fffff sorry
So many people have drifted since Coop left. He's not surprised, but it still... what's the word the teenagers use?
Ah, right. Sucks. It still sucks.
"Not a problem, Heather." He glances at his watch, then grins a little sheepishly. "To tell you the truth, I didn't even notice the time. You get here all right?"
glksg IT'S OKAY I do shit like that all the time
It did suck.
"Yeah, I actually just got back into town on the train, heh."
She prodded a little at the underside of one eye-- pretty sure they were somewhat puffy and raw. Getting up early to catch that dumb thing was something that would probably take a toll on her patience later on, but she'd had to.
"So if I'm a little bit of a space case today, that's prrrrrobably why."
I fixed it, it's okay, YOU SAW NOTHING
"We can do this a little later, if you'd rather head inside and get some rest. You're more than welcome to take a nap."
I SAW NOTHING
"Nope, I'm good! We can get going. I just gotta shake off the train-stupor."
Like she'd ADMIT that a nap was probably a good idea, pshh.
"Where we gonna do this, in the backyard?"
