With the perky new song singing about the city, the summer Bug-Catching contest is back on in full force! With everything that's been going on lately, it's high time they start some for-fun things to do. So, mid-afternoon on Thursday, they gather the participants. After the participants check their other pokémon in at the front, they're all asked to line up in the front. From there, one park official reads the rules while another passes out twenty sport balls. Then once everything's settled, they're just about ready to go!

Three... Two... One... Catch!

Every time I try to attack it, it flies away.

I thought perhaps if I can manage to pin it down first, it would remain long enough to battle.

Maybe you'll see it again? I'm sure it hasn't gone too far, if it keeps flying away from you.

What do you mean by pin it down? How do you do that?

I found a net. I was going to use that. [She shrugs.] Perhaps I will just throw something at it and see if I can attack it while it is distracted...

Although I'm not sure about the rock throwing thing...

Won't throwing stuff at it make it...you know...angry?

If it is angry, it is probably more likely to stay and fight, rather than run away. And you have your Pokemon to protect you.

Well...that's true, I guess. That would make it a lot easier to catch.

Although making it angry probably isn't great either...

[He shudders, thinking of Rainbow Dash's warning about Beedrill. Mamara headbutts him in admonishment. He looks down at her and grins.]

But yeah, that's why I chose Mamara. She'll protect me!

What kind of pokemon did you bring along?

[Spike still didn't understand why you could only bring one pokemon in with you...what if you got attacked by an angry swarm of Beedrill??]
