Summary: Sasuke gets a birthday party whether he wants one or not. Lucky for him, he has friends (in spite of his best efforts) who'll plan one.
Rating: G? PG for violence

[ooc; general mingle log for Blackthorn City/Sasuke's birthday. Most of it will probably take place at the hotsprings itself, though like the 'who' says, it's completely open to anyone just walking by and wondering what the big deal is, or someone who's already there and then has their pleasant soak interrupted by a bunch of dumb ninjas.]

[He nods once said cat is on his shoulder, raising the hand not holding the pokéball to scratch gently behind her ears in response. The purrloin kind of reminded him of one of the kittens he had seen as a kid, actually...]

[She only purrs louder, glancing back toward Tenten once as if to ask if it was really okay. Tenten just laughs again and runs her fingers down the cat's spine, tapping her nose and pointing to the ball in the boy's hand.]

Like we talked about, you're going with Sasuke now. Don't worry, I'll still be around to visit and you can train with mom and dad, too.

[A glance toward Sasuke.]

[But other than that, he doesn't know what else he'll do. Really, what else can he do? He's lost his 'travel party'... He can still train his pokémon but other than that?

He's still giving the purrloin that little attention before moving to pet her properly instead of just scratching behind her ears.]

I got all of Johto already.

[There's a definite note of pride in her voice as her lips curve into a bit of a smirk. Those couple weeks of travel strictly for badge-battling had done her good in that respect.

The Purrloin gives Tenten a puzzled look, then just turns and nestles into Sasuke's arms, purring loudly at the attention. As far as the kitten was concerned at the moment, she had two trainers.]

How many have you got out of Kanto?

Just one. We didn't have the chance to stop for more.

[Oh. Oh do you see that face Sasuke. Do you see just how excited she is?]

Heh, I'm beating you, then. Once I sweep Kanto, too, you'll have no more excuses and you'll have to face me.

Not so fast. The deal was that we both had to get all of the badges, not just you.

[And that tone implies that he damn well still intends on getting them all.]

[Another wink, and she leans in to casually breach his personal space -- just to pet the Purrloin, of course.]

Hmph. Just because I haven't been collecting badges doesn't mean I haven't been training.

[A quick kiss to the top of the Purrloin's head, and she pulls back, grin only widening.]

[That sound? It's a pure reflection of how awkward he feels because he really doesn't know what else to do or say. Well, other than say 'thanks' but he's not sure he can bring himself to do that.]
