Where: Blackthorn City (mainly hotsprings but also anywhere)
When: July 23rd
Summary: Sasuke gets a birthday party whether he wants one or not. Lucky for him, he has friends (in spite of his best efforts) who'll plan one.
Rating: G? PG for violence

[ooc; general mingle log for Blackthorn City/Sasuke's birthday. Most of it will probably take place at the hotsprings itself, though like the 'who' says, it's completely open to anyone just walking by and wondering what the big deal is, or someone who's already there and then has their pleasant soak interrupted by a bunch of dumb ninjas.]

*Imogen blinks. She's so confused.* I didn't send out all my Pokemon. Omen, here.

*A very serious looking Absol lands right next to Imogen, the black and white pokemon has been shadowing Imogen since she landed. He also has a Pokeball on a chain around his neck.*

He wouldn't go off leaving me alone, and Aglon isn't very good on her own, so she's in her ball with him in case things get... complicated.

[ Everyone else she's seen seems to be sending of all of them, so she's worried about those who don't look like they can handle themselves in a fist fight.

*Imogen's Pokemon think much the same way, thus one of them is always shadowing her in some form or another.*

They think I can't handle being on my own, and that I'd get in trouble if I don't have someone keeping an eye on me.

*Imogen crouches down to pet Omen behind the dark blade on his head. His eyes are still firmly fixed on Sakura, gauging how much of a threat she is.*

Omen or Talent usually takes the gig because they happen to be the most pet sized of my usual Pokemon. Plus both are very aware of danger because of their species, it's a thing they're good with.

Because of their species--is this sort of thing common? Some being better at detecting danger while others not so?

[ Leave it to Sakura to latch onto that instead of Imogen's Pokemon. It interests her greatly because being able to tell when something bad is going to take place meant better protection. ]

Do you think they can do the same thing for weather too? Natural disasters? Pokemon are remarkable, aren't they?

Yes and no. Both Espeon and Absol have acute senses. Espeon's got hairs that feel tiny changes in the wind, Absol... I think it's all his senses.

I asked Talent to show me how the weather thing works, it felt really weird. But Psychic types are like that sometimes. His hairs are really sensitive to changes in the wind.

Lots of Pokemon sense weather, but in different ways. Electric Pokemon can feel the charge of a thunderstorm. Water Pokemon the extra moisture in the air. It's all amazing isn't it!?

Now I can understand why people research the Pokemon here. When there are so many that provide different services and advantages, it's kind of hard not to be interested in their differences.
