Where: Violet City!
When: Tonight
Summary:Ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny lookalikes on parade First encounter!
Rating: E for Everyone
Log:
Ven had gotten fairly accustomed to making his way around Violet after dark. It had been about a week and by now he knew how to get from the inn to the mart and back again, which...was just what he was up to. He made his way along the path with a box of something called pizza in tow, humming a little something to himself.
As was typical he wasn't in any particular hurry, pasing to gaze up at foreign stars curiously. They were so different from the ones he'd seen in other worlds, and he had to wonder what distant, strange places those shimmering lights might be.
Of course, with his keyblade out of commission, he wouldn't be finding out anytime soon.
A tap to his shoulder gets him out of his reverie, and Ven glances at his Drifloon. "Yeah, yeah, don't want the food to get cold..." Besides that, he was pretty curious as to what this pizza-stuff tasted like, so with that in mind he starts walking again.

"It's gonna feel good to get that badge, huh Sparky?" Roxas said to the Pikachu on his shoulder. Sparky nodded back, grinning. Roxas smiled slightly. Sparky always seemed to have a lot of energy.
He rounded the corner and froze. Across the street was the guy who looked like him. Not sure what to do, Roxas took a few steps back. Should he say something? Or just, not draw attention to himself. Sparky looked at him, concerned.

A breeze picked up then and Drifloon let out a distressed little cry, grabbing at Ven's sleeve. That made Ven turn around, catching his pokemon by one of its string-ling limbs so it wouldn't get blown away. "Geez, you're really a lightweight, hu-"
Of course his thoughts more or less fell apart once he got a look at Roxas. Sure he'd seen the guy before, but that was on a little screen. This was something else entirely.

He gave a slight wave, and tried to will himself across the street.

"You're Ven, right?"

The circumstances, on the other hand...
"I didn't know you were here too," he added.

"I've been here for a while," Roxas replied. "I want to challenge the gym, so I've been training." His Pikachu nodded in agreement.
"How long have you been here?"
no subject
On that note he pointed at Pikachu, causing Drifloon to bob again. "Is that your partner?"
no subject
"Yeah, this is Sparky," Roxas replied, as the electric mouse waved. "He's a Pikachu. He used to be a Pichu but he evolved." Roxas still wasn't too sure how it happened. Evolution was weird.
"What's that?" he asked, pointing to the Drifloon. He'd never seen a pokemon like that before. Granted, he hadn't seen a lot of pokemon, but each one seemed to be weirder than the next.

He looked to the latest addition to his team and smiled, tilting his head in its direction since he still had that pizza box to hold. "This is Drifloon. He uh...sorta decided to tag along with me the other day."
In turn, Drifloon lifted one string-like appendage and waved to Roxas.

"I think he counts as the weirdest pokemon I've seen," Roxas said, after a pause. And that included magnemites and geodudes. "So, you didn't really catch him?"
Pokemon following trainers wasn't unheard of, but still, it seemed weird when so much was focused on battling. Plus, keeping the subject on pokemon was good neutral ground. Roxas had questions, lots of them, but he wasn't sure how to bring them up.

Drifloon went back to holding Ven's wrist and he shrugged. If anything, he and his friends just seemed to pick up company. "I guess so, but I count him as part of my team. They've all been in a pokéball at some point, but Vaporeon doesn't like it."
Although the situation was strange, it wasn't exactly the first time Ven had dealt with body doubles in this place. Seemed a lot more personal when it was him though, and he floundered a little for something else to say.

"So, uh, I don't suppose you've ever met a guy in red, have you?" Roxas asked. "Before coming here?" If he had a clone, Roxas immediately suspected that guy who had made the digital Twilight Town.
no subject
It really made him wonder what the inside of a pokéball was like.
"A guy in red...? No, I don't think so. Knew a guy with red hair though," and Ven gestured to his hair as though it were at all necessary. Shame he couldn't approximate the shape, but he figured that wasn't all that important. If Lea ever popped up here, Roxas could see for himself.

"Yeah, I know someone like that to," he said, thinking of Axel. At least, that's what Ven's actions suggested. "So, where do you come from?" It had to be the same world.
no subject
Hopefully Roxas didn't think that was some world for dead people like Rise first had. "Where're you from?"
no subject
Before he could get to that, Roxas paused, kind of wishing that he hadn't brought the subject up now. Everything that had happened still felt too close.
"Twilight Town. I'm from Twilight Town," he said finally. The false life he lived there was enough to convince people that he was a normal kid, and so he didn't mind continuing the lie.

Maybe someday he could see what it was like, but somehow he really doubted that would be possible.
Though speaking of worlds, it brought up a question in his mind. "Have any of your friends from home shown up here?"
no subject
Most of them he knew through Sora's memories, but others weren't.
"What about you?"
no subject
"But I've met some nice friends here, so I don't mind."
no subject
"Ven, why do you think that we look like each other?" Roxas asked, finally.
[ooc: I know the jist of what happened so if comments become spoilery that's okay]

He paused as he thought about this, bringing a hand to his chin. What was the word..? Oh, right! "A...Nobody? Although I've got no idea what that means."
[ooc: Gotcha ♥ Doubt Ven knows too much however - he's from before . Whiteout for anybody that breezes by]

"Yeah. I'm, kinda like, Sora's other half," he explained, tentatively. "I don't really get it either." That was about as far as he wanted to go with that subject.

With that in mind, he supposed he had one idea. "Maybe it's related to how Sora looks like Vanitas."
