Touya much preferred sleeping outside. They had tried a night in a Pokémon Center and found that he wasn't a huge fan. Though his demon energy had been taken away, he was still almost as perceptive as he was before. He hasn't had much to worry about though-- most of the pokémon that they've encountered were harmless.

He was still outside that afternoon, back at his and Jin's spot that they've made their camp. Back from some training, he was busy feeding his Smoochum, his other pokémon fed and tucked away in their pokéballs.

Jin had been busy in the pokemon center and at his job at the pokemart all day, but he'd gotten a call from the breeding centre that had him all excited to go running back to his and Touya's camp, with a large bag slung over his back that had some suspiciously round bulges in it (it's okay, he set it down gentle).

"Toy! Oooi, Toy, I got ye somethin'!" he exclaimed excitedly, approaching the camp with his customary huge, shit-eating grin.

Touya looked up at Jin, that suspicious smile on his face making him cock an eyebrow. What was his partner up to now...?

"You didn't happen to get me another egg, did you?" he asked, though he thought he knew the answer to that. He finished giving Sawakou her portion and patted her on the head, letting her sit down and eat the piece she had left.

Jin's ears drooped a little when Touya called his surprise.

"C'mon, it ain't a s'prise if I tell ye!" he whined, but gently set the bag down anyway, revealing that it wasn't actually a bag but a sheet gathered at the corners. And when he wasn't holding the corners anymore, the sheet fell open and out rolled four eggs. One was white with yellow lightning bolts zig-zagged across the shell, and that one Jin set aside, but the other three - one was brown with darker brown stripes, one was dark blue with black stripes, and one should look familiar to Touya because he just fucking hatched one was mostly black with yellow and red markings.

"Ta-da!"

Touya looked at the spread, ignoring Jin's protests. And when his eyes reached the black, yellow and red he just looked up at the redhead.

"You also didn't happen to get me another Snorunt egg...did you?" he asked, though again, he thought he knew the answer to that before Jin could reply.

Sawakou came over after finishing her food and started walking between the eggs, putting her lips against them as she examined them.

Jin knew that look, and his ears shrank back a little at the sight of it. That was the look of borderline exasperation, and the tone of "I better not be right."

"Well, it's got two evolutions, so I saw, and so I was thinkin' ye could get one o' both."

He watched Sawakou explore her future teammates curiously.

"And! Thought ye might be needin' one what's not an icey-type, so I found this'n here," he points to the dark blue one, "which is supposedly a fighter! But not a big stinky ol' muscley-headed one, a smart one, jes' like ye." He offered a charming grin.
