When: August 3rd, late evening
Summary: Ikuto attempts to distract the police so that the theft in Goldenrod can happen smoothly. If only things would just go that easily.
Rating: PG, will change if needed
Notes: Anyone who wants to bump into him during the events of the Rocket plot is welcome to join the log! This time around Ikuto will be able to escape, but that doesn't mean it's gonna be easy for him to do that, so do your worst.

Log:

[Ikuto didn't really enjoy being a bait. It wasn't really something that went well with his sense of pride. This time he had offered to do it because it was his first real mission and he really wanted to get it done. Failure wasn't really seen as a good thing in any criminal organizations.

Normally Ikuto wouldn't have cared about looking like a proper member of the team, but he had his reasons even for this. He would bear the burden for now and feel bad about it once he wasn't running away and trying to survive without being caught. Stupid police-]

[ Xion had heard the commotion several minutes ago and only just arrived at the ruined Pokemon Center. Axel the Typhlosion and Bahamut the Garchomp flank her sides as she searches around and helps people here and there. Eventually, people will give enough descriptions and slight bits of information regarding the attackers and where they headed off to.

And so! Here's a Xion running off in the general direction she heard Ikuto went off to, ready for a fight. ]

[Just when Ikuto thought that he'd gotten away from the cops, he noticed that someone else was following him. Great, this was what he needed - random civilian heroes.

Well, let's play this game a little then. He turned a corner to disappear into an alleyway.]

[ She just skirts along the edge of the alleyway. It's a trap, it has to be. She turns to Axel. ]

Flamethrower. I want to see if we could flush the guy out.

[ Axel puffs up his chest and blows an intense stream of flames right into the alleyway after Ikuto. Xion herself moves to get on Bahamut's back so she could be ready for quick maneuvers. ]

[Ikuto let out a small 'Tch' when he jumps higher to avoid getting hit by the flames. He then summons his Rapidash quietly.]

Counter that with Fire Blast.

[Rapidash blows a cross shaped flame towards the flamethrower and the one behind it.]

[ Axel stops the stream to move sideways and avoid that Fire Blast. Once the attack passes, however, Xion rides Bahamut in, his wings flared out as he runs down the alleyway. ]

You're not getting away!

[blacklynx]

[Thanks for choosing this alley. Have a welcoming gift.]

Fire Blast again.

[He doesn't really want to burn the girl, but at least get her to back down a bit so he could create an escape route.]

Up!

[ Bahamut pauses in his charge as that Fire Blast comes in close. He suddenly makes a leap to one of the walls, digging his claws in to climb up and avoid that intense fire. As soon as the attack passes, Bahamut positions himself and Xion at an angle aiming at Ikuto, while Axel comes back and proceeds a quick Defense Curl, following with a Rollout to take care of that Rapidash. ]

[While the Rapidash attempts to defend herself, Ikuto calls out another attack for a Pokémon who's been in the shadows for a while now.]

Wing Attack!

[So there's a Murkrow flying directly at you Xion. Whatcha gonna do?

Meanwhile being a Rapidash against rock-type moves is suffering.]

[ Xion huddles closer to Bahamut's body, who then springs at that charging Murkrow with fangs aflame with a Fire Fang. He sinks his teeth into Murkrow's body with great strength while he latches onto another wall, sort of slipping a bit down as he struggles with the bird in his mouth.

Then he spits the Murkrow out towards Axel with a roar. After finishin his Rollout, Axel looks up and gets the idea. He brings up a fist lighting up with electricity and proceeds to punch that Murkrow as it comes to him. ]

Go!

[ And here comes a Bahamut dropping toward you, Ikuto! ]

[While the Murkrow gets beaten up, Ikuto sends out the rest of the Pokémon he has with him. Liepard makes a dash towards Axel to stop the punch while Luxray proceeds to push Ikuto out of Bahamuts way.

Meanwhile, there's a Vaporeon taking an aim at the dragon.]

Aurora Beam!

[He's well aware that the Luxray is still there and about to get hit by a large dragon and could get hit by a beam of ice, but he's confident that the Luxray can handle it - he's still got most of his strength from before.]

nah, I understood it!

Tch!

[ Acting quickly to the presence of other Pokemon, as she's dropping, Xion throws out three pokeballs into the air. A Scizor, Metagross, and Hydreigon come into the fray. They see and assess the scene, while Xion shouts an order to the Metagross. ]

Block it!

[ Since he's much heavier, Meta drops to the ground with a thunderous thud just as Ikuto calls out the attack. Bahamut lands behind the Metagross as it prepares an Iron Defense to weather the Aurora Beam. Meanwhile, Blitz the Scizor and Tiamat the Hydreigon both go after the Liepard with a Bug Bite and Signal Beam, respectively. Axel dashes past the Liepard now that his allies are here, and is aiming a Thunder Punch on that Vaporeon.

Cramped alleyway is getting cramped with all the Pokemon appearing. Xion still has one more in her arsenal, but she'll wait until they could somehow get to more open ground. She just watches from on top of her Garchomp to see what Ikuto is going to do next. ]

[Well, things aren't definitely going as planned. Good thing Ikuto's quick to change orders for the Vaporeon and they've been practicing, so he doesn't have to shout of the attack.]

Plan b! Luxray, support.

[So the pretty much futile Aurora Beam ends and changes into a water gun, aimed for the approaching Axel. The Luxray launches a spark on the water when it passes him.

Meanwhile Ikuto's using this time to call back his tired Rapidash. Liepard has succesfully picked up the injured Murkrow, but instead of returning to Ikuto she's running out of the alleyway to avoid getting hit by the bug-type moves.]

[ Xion's Metagross reacts quickly with an Agility, speeding up its body much faster than its weight should allow. This make it able to suddenly jump and cover its fellow Typhlosion with its iron body from the sparked water. It suddenly retaliates with a Bullet Punch at Ikuto's Vaporeon, which is soon followed by Axel's Thunder Punch while the Vaporeon's distracted.

The Scizor and Hydreigon are still hot on the Liepard's tail as she runs out. With more room, Xion and Bahamut try once more at charging at Ikuto and trying to catch him. ]
