Log:

This is going to be a fun day, Killua thought to himself. He had planing for it for a while and now was the perfect time to go about. Pissed Jr, wouldn't know what was in store for him. All Killua had to do is convince Botan to do a little favor for him, to lure the guy to this cafe. Yusuke wasn't dumb enough not to see that Killua is a sneaky little bastard. So he used an outside source to lure the guy to where he needed him. All he has to do now is wait for his target to come. He munches on a chocolate parfait as while he waits, looking out for any signs of the crude teen.

As it turned out, Botan didn't so much lure Yusuke to the cafe as she hunted him down and then physically dragged him there. Yusuke didn't go without protest, of course; after all, past experience had taught him to be very wary whenever Botan wanted him to do something but wouldn't tell him why, and besides which, she'd interrupted him just as he'd been about to beat his high score on Robot Rapidash Attack. Fortunately for him, the former reaper did eventually let him know what was going on, though it wasn't until they were already standing outside the front door of the cafe that she finally gave him the deets: apparently, Keiko was waiting for him inside. There was something that she wanted to talk to him about, Botan informed him in a quiet, urgent voice. Something important.

Now, as for what the hell that meant, Yusuke had no idea. Seriously, what could be so important that Keiko would ask Botan to see to it that he met her at the cafe instead of just calling him out herself? It wasn't as if she'd ever been shy about nagging him to do certain things before. The idea that he was in for a conversation so intense that not even Keiko could be direct with him made him more than a little nervous, but before he could ask Botan for reassurance more information, she took off skipping and hopping into the direction from whence they came, gaily waving farewell to him over her shoulder and yelling at him to behave himself. He tried to tell her to hold her friggin' horses, but by the time the words had left his mouth, she was already long gone, leaving him, in true Botan fashion, to stand there and furiously contemplate the complete and utter bullshit that was his life. Would it be too much to ask, he wondered bitterly, for an assistant that would actually, y'know, assist him? As it was, she was more of a pain in his ass than anything else...

Whatever. Screw Botan! He didn't need her crappy reassurance information anyway. He'd just go in there, talk to Keiko, and that'd be that! And so, it was with a profound sense of foreboding that Yusuke entered the cafe, his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his jacket and his shoulders already hunched defensively. As he stepped into the building, he was immediately enveloped by the warm, soothing scent of coffee - or at least, it would've been soothing, if his guts weren't in the process of knotting up so tight it made his stomach hurt. A quick cursory glance around the room revealed that Keiko was nowhere to be found on the first floor, so Yusuke proceeded towards the stairs and headed up to the second floor, swallowing against the dryness beginning to develop in his throat. Surely, this "conversation" they were supposed to be having wasn't gonna be about anything bad, right? He had seen her earlier that day; if she'd been mad at him or something, he would've been able to tell. He was well-acquainted with Angry Keiko.

Alas, neither Angry Keiko nor Happy Keiko greeted him when he reached the second floor. Hell, as far as he could tell, there were no Keikos here at all. Confused, Yusuke paused uncertainly at the top of the stairs, his brow knitting. What was going on? Botan said she'd be here. Did she just get mixed up, or what?

It was at that point that Yusuke realized that, while there didn't seem to be any Keikos around, there was a Killua sitting nearby, so without further ado, he crossed the room to meet him, removing one hand from his pocket to lift his arm and wave at him to get his attention.

"Hey, Killua!"

Yusuke dropped his hand to his side as he approached Killua's table. He didn't really suspect Killua of anything just yet - in fact, he was more suspicious of Botan at this point, though it wasn't so much in the sense that he thought she was trying to dick around with him as it was that he thought she might have suffered from a massive brain fart. Either way, he looked a little puzzled by what was going on, but in spite of that, he still managed to seem relatively relaxed as he greeted Killua, if not almost friendly. Only time would tell how long that would last.

"Didn't expect to find you here. You seen Keiko anywhere?"

Hey, no harm in asking, right? After all, she could just be in the bathroom, or something.
