Log:
She'd let Dick in on her plans for the day, then sent an update to let Korra know she she was heading for the waterfront to meet her. Already she had some ideas for how they could spend their time getting up to speed with one another- some shopping, something to eat, and some relaxing by the water sounded about right. From what she had learned about Korra she rather doubted if she'd manage to talk her into something like a day at the spa (wouldn't stop her from trying), but there were plenty of other ways to spend the time together.

It was the first time that someone from home had been around longer than just a few months, and Katara was grateful for the chance to meet in person again and catch up. Conversations over the gear were great and she loved that they kept in touch, but after all that time she definitely couldn't wait to give the other waterbender a hug and just spend some time together.

She kept an eye out for brown hair and dark skin. For her part she was wearing her water tribe outfit, you know, to make it that much easier to pick her out of the crowd. Korra should be around somewhere...

Well, Korra really hadn’t meant to stay away from the same places with Katara for such a long time, but apparently she lost sense of time somehow. It had been ages from that prom, but –whatever. What mattered right now was that she was here, reading Katara’s message about the waterfront and heading for that same place herself too. Goldenrod was a new place to her, but finding the waterfront was going to be easy. And she was walking alone for change, no giant dogs or any other pokemon beside her. It did feel a little weird to be in a big city without any company even for a moment for someone whose best friend was a polar bear dog, who never left her side at home. Good thing the walk to the meeting place only took a while, so she didn’t have time to think about the lack of company too much.

The closer to the place she got, the more excited she was getting. This was freaking Katara of all people, and calling her via the gear was great, but seeing her face to face again would be amazing. The Avatar girl actually felt bad for not seeing her face to face more often, but she could fix it from now on? Sure. Besides Korra’d probably far more better company than she had been when she first got here now, when she had had all the time to think things through. It was not like she had lived like some monks (sorry, past life Aang, the monks just really lead a boring life?), because she couldn’t live without at least some social life, but normal social life would be great. ...If hanging out with teenager, who was an old lady in your time, was considered normal?

Korra was wearing her water tribe outfit too. It was still her most used outfit even here and she even got her coat earlier this year, when people got stuff from home somehow. That would be great in winter, but she hadn’t exactly needed it, yet. She made her way through a crowd of people, looking for Katara, whom she then saw right there where the other water tribe girl said she’d be.

Korra stopped for a moment and just stared at Katara with a smile on her face. She was really there? Here? She guessed there was only one way to find out, so as soon as she could stop just staring, she rushed to give her a hug.
