witty lyrics go here.

Who: The Dangans who happen to be in the area
Where: Goldenrod City
When: October 6th
Summary: Naegi finds out they have a house. Also it's Kirigiri's birthday. General house/birthday shenanigans happen.
Rating: Mondo's mouth is a thing so PG-13?
Log:

[ Needless to say, Naegi didn't expect any of this; who would expect finding a key and a note that indicated that an entire house had been left to Asahina - who wasn't with them anymore. Still, a house is a house and winter is drawing closer with each passing day and it would be nice to stay somewhere that isn't an inn or hotel room. Naegi's not going to look this gift Ponyta in the mouth.

Kirigiri and Naegi are the first to go there, to make sure it isn't some sort of trick or scam before informing the others. It looks nice despite the busted window on the first floor and the...door seems to have been left wide open.

Better start investigating, then. ]

[ Some time later, Naegi's encountered at least twenty-four Eeveelutions, a ton of food and pillows scattered all over the floor and he's concluded that no, it's not a trap. It just hasn't been taken care of and has been ruled by the Eevee Kingdom for some time. So he sends out the following text to the others: ]

Guys, I have good news! Come to the following address when you can, all right? It's the house next to the breeding center so it should be easy to find.

[ Pretend the address is included. :| Shortly afterwards, a second text message is sent out: ]

By the way, it's Kirigiri-san's birthday today.

[ ...Naegi has no idea why he knows this. He's pretty sure she hasn't mentioned it. At any rate, by the time the others get there there will pizza, cake and party hats but not much else because there's only so much you can do when you just remembered her birthday. Here's hoping the Eevees won't eat everything the second you turn around.

Also, floor plans for future reference. ]

[Well, if it's terribly awkward in any way, Ishimaru doesn't seem to notice; if anything, he seems content with it, the noise he offers in response both pleased and affirming as he goes back to looking that table over. It gives him something to do with himself, something that doesn't involve just standing there and looking in Togami's general direction and wondering if there's something that he should be saying in response to that.

The silence is surprisingly not an awkward one, however; he's there, and Togami is there, and the quiet is more through a lack of a need to fill the silence with words than any sort of deliberate coldness. He'll find something to say eventually, he imagines, and after a good long moment he does; it's way over on the direct side, as he tends to be, but at least it's not shouty.]

It'll be good to have everyone here, I think; even if we don't all choose to stay, we'll have somewhere to come back to. It's important to establish something like that here.

[In the meantime, Togami is just going to resume his original plan of sitting in front of the fireplace and opening his book. One of the Eevees, as if smelling his empty lap, comes in and hops into it, hunkering down in a sleepy ball of fluff. He doesn't skip a beat before he's lazily running his fingers through the thick fur, digging them into the ruff around the little thing's neck, idly rubbing the base of the long ears, all while never taking his eyes off of his book.

If Ishimaru minded the silence, Togami couldn't have cared less. So long as they're not being intrusive, he can ignore anyone he pleases.

But at the same time, when the intrusion comes it's less irritating than he originally thought it would be. It only garners a barely-perceptible sigh. Although he does have to admit that he is still surprised by the fact that one of the murder victims is intent on keeping everyone (which includes his murderer) in one place. He had felt partly vindicated when everyone had gone their own ways after Violet - he hadn't expected everyone to promptly come together again. For fuck's sake, would you all stop defying his expectations.]

Mm.

I don't intend to stay any longer than I have to.
ardent: (And now you steal away)

[personal profile] ardent 2013-10-12 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[He isn't surprised at that, but there's still something about it that doesn't strike him right; his fingers tighten around the green felt bumper running the edges of the table.]

Keep in contact with the rest of us.

[Despite his wording, it's not a request.]
shslasshat: (can't you see i'm making a fucking memo)

[personal profile] shslasshat 2013-10-12 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Sigh. Of course it wouldn't be that easy. He closes the book around his index finger, and fixes Ishimaru with a level stare.]

What will you do if I don't?
ardent: (Then I'd say he needs medicine)

[personal profile] ardent 2013-10-12 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[Can't you just cooperate for once in your miserable life?]

You're going to be contacted either way, Togami-kun; it'll be easier on all of us if you just do it on your own.
shslasshat: (back off pleb)

[personal profile] shslasshat 2013-10-12 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[NO.]

I'd rather not keep in daily contact with all of you.

But I will keep Naegi informed of my whereabouts.
ardent: (And turning all against one)

[personal profile] ardent 2013-10-12 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
That's acceptable, and it's all I was asking for in the first place!
shslasshat: (#peasants)

[personal profile] shslasshat 2013-10-12 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmph.

Tell me- what interest do you have in keeping tabs on everyone? You're a little out of your jurisdiction to be ordering any of us around.

[Aren't you, Hall Monitor.]
ardent: (Default)

[personal profile] ardent 2013-10-12 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oooh-]

It has nothing to do with ordering you around, and everything to do with the fact that people tend to disappear once they go off on their own - I've seen it happen three times already, and I would rather not see it again!
shslasshat: (what do you want)

[personal profile] shslasshat 2013-10-12 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[He goes to respond that he actually has something to go back to but miraculously doesn't follow through.]

And you care if I disappear.
ardent: (And as you step back into line)

[personal profile] ardent 2013-10-12 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[Actually, he'd agree with that, with the added caveat that none of us know what that "something" is, so arguably you might be in a worse boat than he is, buddy.]

Why wouldn't I?
shslasshat: (too cool for school)

[personal profile] shslasshat 2013-10-12 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[At least he's alive and mentally stable. It's a case of giving Ishimaru more credit than he deserves, tbh, since Togami just didn't want to deal with the ensuing butthurt. He came in here to read, goddamnit.]

Because we aren't 'friends'.

[You know, in the two years that no one remembers.]

...Unless you were planning an attempt to change that?

[He sounds incredulous at the idea. But if Naegi's persistence in seeking out his friendship has taught him anything, it's that tenacious people have a dangerous way of getting under your skin, and he can't completely discredit the possibility.

Undervaluing the emotions of others has nearly gotten him killed in the past.]
ardent: (And turning all against one)

[personal profile] ardent 2013-10-12 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
What does that have to do with anything?

[It's not pointed or sarcastic or...anything but ridiculously straightforward, really; he genuinely does not see why that makes a difference.]

I'm aware that we're not friends, but I see no need to change that because it doesn't make a difference either way - I wasn't friends with anyone back in Hope's Peak, but I didn't want anything to happen to them, either!
shslasshat: (what do you want)

[personal profile] shslasshat 2013-10-12 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[Because if you care about what happens to someone, that must mean you want something from them. That's how it has always worked for Togami before.]

That was a completely different situation.

[And a fat lot of good it did then, too.]

There was no real way to avoid one another in that place. This is a much larger area that we've been set loose to explore, with the saccharine goal of domesticating wild creatures. In that school, losing track of someone could mean the difference between life and death.

Becoming too trustful of others did, on more than one occasion.

[With that jab, he turns away and opens his book again, crossing his legs and barely shifting the Eevee occupying his lap.]

[personal profile] ardent 2013-10-13 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
For several of us, whether we're sent home or not still is a matter of life or death!

[The outburst is sharp, sudden; like he cares about your precious silence right now, Togami.]

And you're not in the clear either, given that we don't know what happens once that door is opened, so don't start with that, either!
shslasshat: (memo to me)

[personal profile] shslasshat 2013-10-13 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
[If glares could cause blunt force trauma, the one that Togami levels at the innocent fireplace in front of him would be about a three on the Justice Hammer scale.]

In that case, you are free to worry about your own skins as much as you like.

But you may as well leave worrying about the future to those who actually will survive to see it.
ardent: (And turning all against one)

[personal profile] ardent 2013-10-13 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
It's because I won't live to see it that I'm concerned, at least in part!

[...because that doesn't have potential to turn into a poorly-articulated clusterfuck at all, does it, wow.

Look, let's just. move on.]

Why does it matter to you in the first place, whether I concern myself with it or not?!
shslasshat: (too cool for school)

[personal profile] shslasshat 2013-10-13 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
Did I say that it mattered? I said you may as well - it was advice. Feel free to ignore it and worry yourself into an ulcer over something that doesn't ultimately concern you, it doesn't matter to me either way.

[His book goes back up. Normal people would take this as a sign to end the conversation.

...That's asking a lot from Ishimaru, though.]
