Summary: Since the last round of nightmares, Tony hasn't slept at all.

42 Hours ago

He's in his suit, if it wasn't for his H.U.D lighting up his face telling him all about it, the familiar feel of the comforting alloys holding to his body, the wind swirling past him are all the more reasons to know that he's back on Earth.

Glancing to his side, he see's another, much smaller suit is keeping up with him, Pep is inside they pull up to a stop as they try to stop Selvig but the barrier stops them from getting to them.

The scene changes, and Tony fans himself out as he sails down the building, feeling the mark VII wrap around his body before he has a chance to hit the ground, Pep's not with him he looks around wildly but can't see her. He doesn't have time to think about it

"Right, army"

As he keeps battling he never sees any trace of Pep again, he does see Dummy soaring through the air, picking off Ch'tauri as she flies.

He feels like he's been flying for hours when he see's it, Pep's little suit, crushed and left on his landing pad he lets out a cry as he heads straight for her, as everyone's yelling over the coms gets louder, but he doesn't want to hear any of it. He get's only a few metre's away from the Lopunny shaped suit when he hears Fury, and hears nuclear bomb.

Dummy's along side him as he grabs the bomb as it propels itself towards Midtown, Tony feels the friction of the suit scuffing roughly against his building as he pulls it up to send it into the wormhole, which both he and Dummy soar into.

He see's the mothership burst into explosions, he lets out a sigh as he falls.

He wakes up to see Steve's relieved face.

"Where are they?"

"Who?"

"Dummy and Pep"

"Who?"

Tony woke with a start, Pep is on top of him, shaking him with a look of strong concern, she had been trying to wake him from his nightmare, he had been tossing and moaning the whole time.

He looks at her and see's the image of her body crushed in the suit and without a word, he wraps his arms tight around her and holds her, while she's confused, she just wraps her arms around him too.

Today

Tony has stayed in his room, which is currently mostly hidden under paper both scrunched up and ones piled up on each other. He's been sketching up blueprints for designs that could work in his world, in this world, and things that could never work but he just had to get it out of him. He's avoiding sleep and in the absence of actual machines to work with and create, he's just pumping out ideas that could be worked on at a later date.

Pep's been watching him, and she's worried. Ever since his first nightmare, he's been keeping a close eye on her, but after that last one he's been avoiding her, talking only to himself, keeping her out at most giving her little comments of his being fine. She hugs herself for a moment before she leaves, heading out to find Grace, because she could try and talk Grace into getting Steve to talk to him, because if nothing else he always seems to open up to Steve.

When she finds Grace she doesn't say anything, she just quietly comes up and puts a paw on her arm.

Tony stops his blueprinting for a moment to come out to the kitchenette for some juice, standing there as he drinks it paper in his hand as he looks at something he's drawn up, putting the glass down momentarily to adjust some calculations and mutter to himself, he looks tired and disheveled. He soon forgets about the drink next to him as he loses himself once again in his blueprinting.

Carol's been out training all day. Her nightmares weren't treating her much better, but like Tony she hadn't said anything to anyone. They were just nightmares, right?

She comes inside for something to munch on. Helen swoops in behind her, landing on the table and Blitz is on her shoulder. Strangely enough Mar-Vell is no where to be seen. Seeing Pep, Blitz hops off Carol's shoulder and goes over to the bunny, gently tugging on her arm.

Something is wrong with the trainers

Carol watches her pokemon out of the corner of her eye while she grabs the juice out of the fridge. For the first time since she walked in she registers that Tony is looking at blueprints and exactly how odd that is for him right now. It hadn't seemed strange before, Tony often had blueprints with him, but here he didn't have the means to build anything, meaning he worked on them less. This Tony was in work mode, also known as avoiding something mode.

"What's up?"

Pep blinks and almost pulls away as if startled, which she was, she's been so worried about her trainer that she didn't even notice anyone else come in.

Tony isn't sleeping, Steve is hiding... Carol?

She looks up at Carol before glancing back to Blitz as if hoping to get an answer from her. Though, she only knows something is wrong with Steve because she went looking for Grace for help.

Tony doesn't look up when Carol speaks, just taps the bottom of the pencil on the counter.

"You know, the thing about this world, the table of elements is different, even if things have the same mass and electron count. So designing things is being difficult, I'm looking at what passes for steel here and I'm not sure if I can create something that will work for alloys that are strong enough for these struts."

He runs the point of the pencil along the strut of something looking like a particle accelerator.

"Not that I really need it, I mean I could just used anything close by to hold them up, but I'm not really working to a deadline here, just kind of... Thinking."

He scratches out a few notes around the strut, a list of things that could be used in place of his calculations for an alloy.

Blitz cuddles up to Pep's side, looking at his trainer clearly very worried.

She won't let Helen and me out of her sight, but she won't bring Mar out of his ball. Has Tony been having bad dreams too?

Carol walks around to peer at the blue prints. Tony had clearly been working on them for some time.

"Anything for the near future?"

Pep puts an arm around Blitz comfortingly, not exactly hating the closeness right now.

Tony's stopped talking to me... And to himself. He always tosses and turns when he sleeps but now. It's like he's learnt thrash.

Tony glances at her, with an 'of course' kind of smirk on his face.

"Am I the kind of guy to plan for anything now? It's always something for the future. Once I can get some of my capital back at least so I can start half of the projects I have in mind."

Carol's been thrashing too. She kept staring at Mar like she was scared of something.

"A few more gym battles and you might have some of that capitol." Carol scans the paper.

"So when was the last time you slept?"

That's... Really not good. Something's scaring them when they sleep...

Pep looks even more concerned as she glances over at Tony.

"At this rate, with these plans. I think I might have to do the gyms twice... Can you do them twice? Or is it a one badge per customer thing?"

He looks over his shoulder at her. Pausing for a second when the she questions him then shrugs.

"Uh, three days ago?"

He doesn't sound too sure about it but waves it off.

"I can sleep later, it's fine. Still got to keep an eye on Cap-atonic, I mean it's not every day you go from nigh unkillable to weak and kitteny and then get nearly killed by your own pet monsters."

I'm trying to help, but she won't go to bed.

Carol nods "There's an elite challenge you can do for most of them that pays off a little more."

Carol wants to chastise him, tell him he needs his sleep, but..."Yeah, me too."

She looks back to the room Steve is currently stay in. "He'll be fine, but I don't think it's his injuries bothering him right now."

Grace looks at Pep when she feels the paw on her. Right now she's a bit pouty because while she understands how why Steve is being how he is, she feels jealous that she's not the center of his attention, that she didn't make into his nightmares. Obviously she's better suited than Rita, who only recently started to care about Steve, not like Grace who loved him from the start.

She's upset, but she doesn't want to take it out on Steve, it's not his fault, so she is sulking on her own.

Still, she looks at Pep, giving her at first a "leave me alone" glare, but then it softens into curiosity at seeing the bunny's state.

She pulls her paw back when she first sees the look, almost looking like she was burnt, showing without meaning to how tense she is with Tony acting from as far as she knew, so very much unlike himself. She fidgets for a moment, and action picked up from her trainer before glancing around then telling Grace that there's something wrong with Tony, and if Steve is okay.

Grace is by far the last person Pep should be telling about Tony's condition, because she really probably couldn't find a way to care any less than she already does. The mention of Steve though has her looking less than friendly again, but it's not aimed at Pep. She simply tells the Bunny that Steve isn't right either.

She knows she should be with her trainer, but he's so distant lately, she hasn't any idea what to offer him. His emotions are so strong and sad that she finds it unpleasant to be around him because she can't solve it.

Pep looks around the room as if trying to think of where Steve is to send her concern to him.

She asks if he's not sleeping anymore either, or drawing weird things.

Then she inches a little closer, having her trainer so out of sorts is putting her out of sorts too as she's gotten very used to touching and being very close to Tony when things are upsetting her.

Can't have nightmares if you don't sleep.
