[In the meantime, Ishimaru has been trying to instill some sense of morals in this boss over here, and trying to keep minions off of himself in the meantime; he's leaning up against a wall, resting for a moment, when Mondo comes back to find him - he seems...rather tired, but otherwise fine.]

It looks that way, yes!

[He just sort of gestures at a set of minions nearby that are...seeming very confused and just kind of wandering around like they haven't the vaguest idea what to do with themselves.]

That was what happened when I used Forget Beam on them.

[Because of course he did.]

[diamondo]

You... You used Forget Beam on 'em.

[Mondo throws back his head and laughs like this is the funniest thing he's heard in a long time (probably because it is). He's grinning when he faces Ishimaru again and he claps a hand to his friend's shoulder.]

Well! You're doing a damn good job of fucking 'em up! You seem kinda tired though, maybe you should take a break.

[ardent]

I'll be all right, kyoudai.

[He pauses for a moment, finally looking Mondo over a bit.]

How about you?

[diamondo]

I'm okay. Just got a few scratches and shit, but it's nothing to worry about. I had to get outta there 'cause they were surrounding me.

[He squeezes Ishimaru's shoulder briefly before letting go, though Mondo makes no move to rush back out into the battle.]

Be careful, alright? Don't tire yourself out too badly!

[ardent]

I'm all right! Just a little worn out for some reason; that's why I'm staying back.

Are you going to go back out there?

[diamondo]

Alright. Just be careful, okay? And yeah, I'm heading back out there. I just wanted to make sure you were alright, y'know?

[With that said, he'll return to the battle, clearly enjoying himself.]

[ardent]

[Well, the unfortunate thing about Ishimaru's powers is that the more he tries to enforce them in a way that's contrary to something's nature, the more draining it is; he hasn't been having much difficulty with, say, you or the minions, but the boss, on the other hand...

You're probably going to be able to feel whatever compulsions he put on you break after a while, as he's quite simply going to be passing out and not waking up for the remainder of the duration.]

[diamondo]

[Mondo does feel the compulsions break, but not until he's escaping for the second time after he's nearly been surrounded by minions. He hesitates for a moment, torn between checking up on Ishimaru and rushing back into the battle, but the former finally wins out. Ishimaru wouldn't have told him to continue being reckless, after all.

He finds Ishimaru unconscious and immediately drops to his side, shaking Ishimaru's shoulder roughly.]

Shit, c'mon, wake up! Now's not the time to pass out, kyoudai! I told you to be careful!

[ardent]

[Unfortunately, he's pretty much down for the ten-count, kyoudai; he doesn't stir in response to that shaking, either.]
