NIGHTMARE PLOT: BATTLE LOG

Who: Nightmare Plot participants!
Where: THE BASEMENT (dun dun dunnnnn)
When: Wednesday, October 30
Summary: IT'S NOT CHERNOBOG. But you still have to fight it.
Rating: PG-13 in general; please mark threads that go higher accordingly!
Log:

YOU ARE HERE. IT LOOKS LIKE THIS. YOU'RE FIGHTING THIS. (IT'S NOT CHERNOBOG.)

ALSO, MOOD MUSIC.

KEY:
RED areas are inaccessible regions! This time, characters have a little less discretion in what they perceive as the reason for the inaccessibility; it'll either be something like a broken or crumbling wall, a locked door, an archway overgrown with dangerous-looking vines, thick fog, or something else of that nature!

• The GREEN area is the set of stairs you used to get down here in the first place! Again, this is here so you know where your starting point is in relation to everything else.

~

☆ THE NUMBER TO MEET OR BEAT IS 55 PARTICIPANTS.

REMEMBER: IF YOUR CHARACTER DOES NOT POST TO THE BOSSFIGHT LOG AT LEAST ONCE
(AS A TOP-LEVEL COMMENT OR IN RESPONSE TO SOMEONE ELSE'S TOP-LEVEL COMMENT)
BEFORE 7:00 AM EST on OCTOBER 31, THEY WILL NOT COUNT TOWARD THE 55-PARTICIPANT GOAL!

Woah... [So cool.] That's a pretty impressive trick for not having much up your sleeves! Quality over quantity though, as they always say.

It's an old little spell I thought I'd forgotten decades ago. It seems the force that returned our powers to us was not content with simply giving what was taken when we arrived in this world.

[Not that he minds at all.]
ghostytrainer: (no i cannot smile doofishly.)

Sweet. I wish I could say the same for me but-- [He cuts off, pushing both his hands out in front of him and blasting two monsters back with a gust of wind.] hehehe, but I am new to the magic scene.

[That and uh...ONE decade ago, he was six.]

[Cecil nods approvingly at that little spell, adding another of his Searchlights to the mix.]

Everyone needs to start somewhere, and your start seems impressive enough. Are all your spells wind-elemental?
ghostytrainer: (sounds like a plan!)

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2013-11-10 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, yup. [He points to the symbol on the front of his pajamas that he's somehow managed to regain through sheer dream power. He's going to be bummed when he wakes up and he's back in his regular, non-magical clothes again.] I'm the wind guy. Pretty sure it's impossible for me to do anything magical that isn't at least slightly windy. But that's okay, because wind is cool and when in doubt: hammertime.

With a literal hammer, you mean?

[he absentmindedly elbows a monster in the... nose? as he speaks.]

Perhaps you should try to acquire one with wind-elemental properties, You might be able to give more strength than usual.
ghostytrainer: (no wai!)

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2013-11-11 10:17 am (UTC)(link)
Of course a literal hammer. [He raises the somewhat bizarre looking weapon in his left hand.] This is but one of-- [There's another bang as he brings said weapon back down on a monster.] --many I have in my arsenal.

Shit though, that's a really good idea! [A beat.] No idea how I would accomplish that, especially right now but it's something to keep in mind.

Certain blacksmiths might be able to craft one for you, if they have a partnership with a talented mage. Of course, that implies certain costs for the materials and effort needed.

[That sentence ends a few feet away from where it started, as he teleports to avoid a particularly nasty set of claws.]
