This time, characters have a little less discretion in what they perceive as the reason for the inaccessibility; it'll either be something like a broken or crumbling wall, a locked door, an archway overgrown with dangerous-looking vines, thick fog, or something else of that nature!

• The GREEN area is the set of stairs you used to get down here in the first place! Again, this is here so you know where your starting point is in relation to everything else.

[No. She's the "Stay home and the fucking hell out of the battlefield, or else we'll get worried!" type of lines getting girl, who shouldn't even be here.

Or that's how it is back home. Now her heart is kind of trying to jump into her throat, because wow that's a real dagger and he is just putting it on her hand.

Here? Right now? It's not like there are any options for her. Well, except keep on running and depending on others, who by the way are busy on their own with these monsters here.

"You can't count on people to show up and kill the monsters for you."

That's right. Envy does have an excellent point, she won't deny it when it's clearly a true fact. This place's mostly full of strangers, and if someone happens to save her on a situation, when she's escaping the monsters, then she's just lucky.

There's no Al, who would keep her safe. There's no Ed, who'd protect her like a lion again. Or anyone else from their side, who'd do their best to keep her safe - or, well, they might offer a weapon for her too, just like Hawkeye had offered that gun to Ed earlier back home. No time to be a selfish little girl, who thinks weapons are scary and on the list of things she'll never touch again.

She takes a deep breath.]

I guess I [biting her lip a bit.] Am going to be a girl like that. [She clenches the dagger into her dominant hand.] You're right, I can't just count on people to do that. [pause.] Thanks.

[Thanks for an important lesson that she fully needed to realize here, and for that dagger this time, duh.]

[Envy nods approvingly when she does accept the dagger. With what she'd acted like the first time he offered, he was half expecting her to try and give it back to him. She might not want the approval or respect of someone like him, but she's getting it anyway. He grins.]

I wouldn't thank me until you're out of this fight alive.

[But they couldn't have stayed standing here for long without something showing up. A smaller monster, one of the ones that Envy sees as something out of the Gate, rushes to attack them. Envy manages to kick it with all the force of his superstrength behind the blow, sending it flying off. But that just drains his "batteries" all the more, and he sways noticeably, legs trembling with exhaustion. He waves his knife-arm threateningly in the direction where he kicked the monster, shouting:]

And that's what you get for attacking me, you bastards!

[Well, she almost did force it back to him, but... There's no point in doing that. Don't think she knows that he gets respect from him too, that doesn't even cross his mind even if he nods.

Alive? Not getting out of places alive is not an option for her. She can’t go and break her promise of staying alive and waiting for Ed and Al, not when she has told the brothers to stay alive too. It wouldn’t be fair and sure, she might have made that promise back home only, but she wanted to keep all of her promises here too. …Which is why she never seriously promised to stay here forever, or let them promise the same because anyone could disappear at any time.]

There’s no way I wouldn’t --

[Right. The fight thing. They couldn’t stay there forever anyway.

She watches Envy kick it away. …Sorry, she will be just staring after that kick for a tiny moment, surprised by someone’s super powers again.]

Don’t you think you’re overdoing it a bit…?

[Geez, why do people always overdo these things? Then again, Envy has probably had years and years of fighting experience ...uh.]

[…and the thought of Envy’s body possibly getting tired of this fighting thing comes back, when she notices his legs trembling. Exhaustion? Why? Surely he has really, really had years and years, if not even hundreds of years of fighting and he wouldn’t get tired easily. But what else could it be? It’s not like he is scared here, that’s Winry’s part if she lets the fear get to her (spoilers: she won’t, but she does remember trembling in shock and fear on the most horrible moments of her life.) ]

Are you okay? [The question is out before she can even think of should she ask or not.]

[Envy doesn't comment on that question about overdoing it. Yeah, maybe he is, but as far as he's concerned right now there's no such thing as overdoing it. He wants to hurt these monsters and their leader as much as he possibly can, all of his drive for vengeance right now is laser-targeted on those things.]

[The weariness, though, is worrying him. He's got his powers, he shouldn't be getting tired at all. And even if for some reason he didn't get his homunculus stamina back, he shouldn't be getting tired this fast. He's breathing a little heavily when he responds, but he's trying to keep his expression normal.]

I'll be fine, nothing's wrong.

[Except no, he's clearly not fine at all, between the shaking legs and the slumped shoulders. But he doesn't want to admit to any weakness.]

[Envy, please, like she can't see what's happening with your legs and... Ooops, she's bad at admitting that she's getting really worried here.

Why can't people just admit when they need a break or something else that helps?]

Don't you need a break or something?

[It sounds like an insane idea here, but uh, she is sort of serious about it anyways.]

[Sorry Winry, Envy's just very stubborn all around. He doesn't want to admit to weakness, and he doesn't want to stop fighting the monsters.]

I shouldn't be getting tired, I've got my powers back. Homunculi don't need breaks.

[Denial denial denial.]

[Quit being so stubborn, stupid! Or don't! The whole dealing with stubborn guys is actually a good way to annoy the girl so much that she literally just hits two of these little monsters as if they're intruders, who try to sneak into a girl's room with extreme speed. She'd think about the whole hitting them with a dagger thing later, right now she's in the middle of a conversation!]

Well, Mister Homunculus, you obviously are getting tired despite getting your powers back. And anyone can see it!

[Well Envy is surprised when she takes out those monsters because wow he really wasn't expecting that. But he's still frowning because ugh she might be right and him being tired is ridiculous and annoying.]

This shouldn't be happening. And it's not like there's anywhere to take a break in the middle of all this anyway.

[Well it's...sort of admitting it?]
