Nightmare's over
Who: Rude
strongestoftheturks and Tifa
premiumheaven
Where: Azalea Pokecenter
When: Backdated to 1st November
Summary: The event is over and Rude reawakens back in the normal world to finally meet up with his new travelling partner.
Rating: G
Log:
[It's been a long, long, day. Or rather, it certainly feels that way, despite the fact that he's just woken up on a bed. Rude struggles to try and remember; what had he been doing before he slept? There was a, a mansion somewhere with an ominous fountain, and there were monsters coming after him, he had been sure of that. Had he dealt with them? He looks down at his fist to confirm that yes, he was not wearing his normal battle gloves. Yet why did he recall using Materia to fire away at some giant black horned thing?
Was it for, for...
With a start he just about jumps out of bed towards his backpack...
...only to fall down flat on his face as the stiffness from having slept a week cramps his movement. He falls down hard enough to shake his backpack a little, and a ball rolls out to land on the ground.
Great. Now he has to deal with dog slobber (again?). There's a bit of commotion coming from his room as Rude tries his best to get his Houndoom to heel as the Dog Pokemon insist on showering him with love and kisses.]

She found the inn and rented a room, no point in staying at the center, right? Besides. She was certain her friend would be safe. So everyday she'd go to work and then go to the center to visit Rude. Who knew when he'd wake up. She'd actually left Johnny there for a day to watch over her friend, but the pokémon had nearly toppled her over when she returned. She felt bad for him, she knew he was incredibly attached to her.
And as she'd only caught one other pokémon in the meantime...she didn't have anyone to keep an eye on him. Other than the wonderful staff, of course.
Today was no different. Tifa came to visit the center soon after her shift ended, a basket hanging from her arm and in the basket was a cushion and two little bug pokémon. She'd taken the advice of someone. The caterpie and weedle still didn't seem like they wanted to be caught, but at least they agreed to the basket.
She greeted the staff and made her way to the room Rude was staying in. To her surprise, there was some sort of commotion in there. Worried, Tifa opens the door.
She laughs.]
Good morning! About time you woke up!

D.N. on the other hand is curious about this newcomer. He pads over to Tifa and sniffs at her, before taking a look at the caterpie and the weedle. Satisfied that there were no terrible creatures after them, D.N. proceeds to lie on the ground belly up, giving Tifa the biggest puppy dog look he can muster. It's hard to get Rude to indulge him in tummy rubs; being affectionate is not in that man's nature. Rude can only glare at his Pokemon as he picks himself off the ground, dusting off his sleeve.]
Showoff.

He's quite affectionate. Or maybe he just really loves you and attention?
[She looks up at Rude, laughing.]
Though, really. It's a relief to see you up and awake again. [She grins.]
And to think, the first time I see you since arriving and I've caught you without those glasses of yours. [Because who sleeps with sunglasses on? Rude. So what did Tifa do? Take them off, of course. Wouldn't want them to break or anything now would they?]

[Rude gestures at his Pokemon helplessly, before he shrugs and gives up trying to explain. The truth is that this is D.N. on his good days. When the Pokemon had ambled up to Tifa's bugs Rude had been worried that D.N. was about to do something drastic that could've turned this reunion sour. Thankfully no such thing occurred but...the risk was always there, with D.N.
Speaking of glasses, yes, he's realised that he's without his trademark shades. Without further comment he picks them up from the table side and puts them back on. No wonder things looked a little strange, he felt a bit naked without them. ]
...sorry. For the wait.

Not your fault. This place is always throwing us for a loop, it seems. At least that much hasn't changed.
And you are a total cutie. I don't think we had you around when I was here. And if we did, I certainly didn't get to meet you!
[The little bugs curiously peek from out of their basket, but then happily go back to just lazing around together.]
I take it you didn't get to go earn your badge before all the crazy happened?

As for Rude, he just about chokes on a glass of water that a Nurse Joy had kindly left for him. Spluttering a bit he grabs a tissue to wipe off the water, taking great care not to look at Tifa because is Tifa calling him a cutie, or the dog?? He'd rather not risk her catching what a curious shade of pink his face is at the moment.]
I, uh, got it. I think that's why I went here, to heal up after the battle.
[Awkward cough.]

At Rude's answer, Tifa looks up, still smiling.]
Congratulations! I'm glad you made it here before collapsing.

[He'll just finish that glass of water and set it back down on the table, hoping that that'll buy his face some time to cool down from the blush. Busying himself over his backpack is a great excuse to not look at Tifa too.]
I...hope you didn't have to wait long.
[Good, his two other missing Pokemon are with him. That's an extreme relief for Rude.

[Tifa's still looking at Rude. After a moment she frowns.]
Are you feeling alright? You look kinda flushed. Do you have a fever or something? [Concerned Tifa is concerned.]
no subject
[That temporary silence does not bode well for him, does it?]
N-no. I'm just...maybe a little, hot, I think.
[Flustered Rude is flustered.]
It'll go away.
...Maybe I just need, umm... [Quick look around, look around!! Ah, got it!] ...air. I'll just, open the window.
[Brb telling his heart to stop thumping at a few hundred miles an hour as he cracks that window open.

[With one last little pat, Tifa stands back up.]
But you're right. Maybe some air will help cool you off.

[At least it was a beautiful day outside; Rude takes a moment to warm his skin up with some sun while trying to sort out his jumbled thoughts and memories. Everything that had happened in his dream...how much of it had been real and how much of it had been mashed with fantasy? Blurred faces and a strong dark presence is what he strongly recalled, but there were other events that had happened in the mansion.
After a few more seconds of trying to sieve through his recollections, he gives up and turns away from the window; he might never truly remember everything that had gone down, but he'd made some new acquaintances and picked up a few names. Most importantly, whatever he had experienced was over.
It's as he heads over to his backpack that he sees a hint of orange peeking out from behind. Curious, he moves his backpack to discover a Halloween goodie bag that definitely had not been there before.]
