here i am with my (gre)ninja clan
Who: Tenten and everyone. Everyone.
Where: Goldenrod
When: December 5th-19th
Summary: Tenten sent out a challenge to everyone in both regions to battle her. Now she's making good on that by making herself easily accessible for battling! Please feel free to handwave an announcement post on the Network letting people know exactly where she'll be.
Log:
Tenten had already posted her challenge to the entire network. If she were going to become a legend, she wasn't going to sit there passively and let the opportunity come to her; she was going to seize it, and for now, that meant stopping anyone who wandered too close to challenge them to a battle. Pokémon or hand-to-hand sparring, she didn't really care which. As long as people knew she was a contender.
She can be found outside Goldenrod's Pokémon Center, bundled up in a warm cloak, thick hat, and fingerless gloves.
[Okay! First time doing a post this open -- if you'd like to handwave the actual battle itself, I'll be rolling a d6 to determine who wins: 1- Tenten loses terribly, 2/3- Tenten barely loses, 4/5- Tenten barely wins, 6- Tenten completely wins. Tenten's Pokémon teams will largely consist of at least one Flying, Fire, Fighting, Water, Steel, and Dragon type, with potentially a Dark, Psychic, or Ice: her roster is here for the curious, and she'll try to match her team's levels to her opponent's if at all possible; she'll ask first. This is her battle theme! Please make sure to put the date in the subject title of your comment just so I can keep track of who she battled when. p.s. The calendar will be important, since these battles will be outside!]

14th
So! Time to go hang out more with the ones he still has. He plans for them to battle, but he promised her an explanation on events at home before all of that.]
Hey, Tenten! [Naruto is wearing his usual outfit, with the addition of an orange hat and scarf, as well as fingerless gloves.]
no subject
[She lifts her head and cracks a quick grin, resting both hands on her hips. They had promised to talk, but she's not sure if they're going to battle or not first.]
You ready to go? What levels're your team?
no subject
[He cracks a grin, proud that he can finally say that he can form a party of solely 100 leveled pokemon.]
no subject
[She draws a Pokéball from her belt and tosses it into the air with a bit of a confident smirk.]
Let's get started. Whoever wins'll buy the other lunch while we talk. Sound good?
no subject
[With a grin he reaches to pull out his first Pokeball too and let it loose. Gama-chan, of course.]
no subject
That also might be the lead-up to Hurricane.]
no subject
Of course it isn't until half way through the battle that Naruto realises it is resistant to them and commands him to switch it up, opting for the flying based Bounce or normal type Hyper Voice instead, but by this point he has already taken a lot of damage and eventually loses out.
Round One goes to Tenten!]
Ahh, dammit...
[Wasting no time he pulls out his second Pokemon, the Ninetails Kurama.]
no subject
[She can't help but smile at that, because hey, she's got one of those too! Not to say that she isn't still going to kick its ass, though. Well. Try to, anyway, switching out Dragonite for her Rotom, currently possessing a washing machine to render it resistant to Fire and possessing super-effective Water moves.
She'll just keep abusing Hydro Pump; the only things she's concerned about are the Ninetales' Ghost-type moves. Win or lose, she'll be switching to Kifu the Houndoom next.]
no subject
[The next one is a little harder- Houndoom. He has one himself so knows its weaknesses but his water type has already been knocked out. Time to send in Bake, the Salemence.]
Go!
[The dragon flies up into the air before crashing down, feet out in a move that may be recognized as Dragon Claw.]
no subject
[Kifu does his best, but without a type advantage and with Salamence's resistance to its Fire attacks and higher stats, it's not too long before he's knocked out of the battle.]
Feng!
[Time for her starter, the Skarmory Feng, relying on his Flying-type moves.]

15th
(As Rainbow stood next to the sign both girls had agreed to meet up at, she wore a blue shirt along with blue pants, a jacket and what appeared to be a hat atop her head; surprisingly, it was sunny despite the fact it was usually cold this time of the year.)
Hey, Tenten! (Tenten wasn't the only girl who wanted to be known as the best: as far as Dash was concerned, she was on her way to proving just that, and it didn't matter if she hadn't captured both regions' sets of badges! One step at a time.)
no subject
Long time no see. You ready for this?
[Time for an awesome battle!]
no subject
Sure! One-on-one, 3-3 or full battle?
(Either way, she was ready to have an awesome battle with her friend!)
no subject
[She ponders it for a moment before reaching to her belt, drawing one Pokéball and flicking it lightly into the air to pull Feng from the field and withdraw Mei, her Lopunny, instead. The large bunny immediately nuzzles her nose against her trainer's cheek, leaving Tenten chiding her softly and pushing her away.]
Let's let these girls fight it out, huh? One-on-one.
no subject
Heh, sure! And afterward we can get something to eat and hang out?
no subject
[A laugh, then she whistles sharply at a particular key. There's only a few moves she's trained her Lopunny to respond to by sound alone, but Mei gets the hint, readying herself and starting with Rock Smash. It might be a lower-power move, but Tenten's banking on the weakness to Fighting types to at least do some damage.]
no subject
Bounce, then Strength!
(Tenten readied herself, then bounced upward to dodge Mei's initial attack while only briefly landing before turning and launching a counterattack.)
no subject
[Tenten's not above complimenting with a quick smile, though she whistles another command as Rock Smash misses thanks to Bounce.
The resulting command is for Mei's own Bounce, attempting to avoid the effects of Rainbow's and hope that her speed is good enough to get her past the Rock Smash, too.]
no subject
(Her own smile appearing just as quickly, Dash watched carefully as Mei dodged her daughter's attack with Bounce while calling out "Ice!" a heartbeat later as her Buneary fired a stream of ice, hopefully at the spot where Tenten's mother would land.)
15th
One train trip later and Atsuro exited the Goldenrod train station. Unlike any other time, he doesn't have any of his Pokemon out with him. It'll keep his current team as a surprise for Tenten.
Dressed up in his warm winter clothes and his (might as well) trademark hat on his head, Atsuro immediately head for the Pokemon Center.]
Tenten!
do you mind if we make it the 16th to give her travel-time from Mahogany back to Goldenrod? orz
Atsuro! Good to see you! [She waves with her other hand, grin edging into something closer to a smirk.]
You ready, or you need to hit the Pokémon Center first? What levels're your team at?
[She'd like to match them as closely as possible.]
sure, I don't mind! Atsuro's schedule is open enough for this week!
[Atsuro already adjusted his team before he arrived, just to cut down on time.]
My team are all at level 100s. I hope yours are the same, or close to it.
[He gives a bit of a challenging smirk. After being in this world for over two years, it's natural for his team to be that strong.]
great, thanks!
Enough pleasantries, though. She plucks one of the balls off her belt and flicks it into the air almost lazily.]
Renkon!
[The accompanying thud of nearly two-hundred-and-fifty pounds of grass and steel is anything but lazy, the three tendrils of a Ferrothorn landing on the ground to support its weight.]
Ready when you are, Atsuro!
no subject
Euler, go!
[The ball opens and emerging from the light, and landing on the ground in the most dramatic way possible, is a Lucario. The pair of goggles on his head almost glint in the sun and his scarf seems to be fluttering. Or maybe it's moving from the force of landing on the ground.]
I'm ready as ever, Tenten! Want to go first or me?
no subject
[But like hell she's keeping a Grass/Steel out against Fighting. Not only a Fighting type, but one that's resistant to both Grass and Steel!]
But it won't be that easy. Hope you don't mind if I just...
[She flicks a Pokeball into the air to switch out the Ferrothorn for a Dragonite, who braces himself just in case there's any damage coming from switching into the middle of battle like this.]
Your move.
no subject
Alright, Euler, you know what to do!
[In other words, start off the battle like he taught the team to do. Euler nods and suddenly form doubles!
He's going to Double Team the Dragonite!]
10th i'm up for threading the battle out but you can roll to determine who wins beforehand o7
[In any case, luckily John had to come to Goldenrod to do some Christmas shopping. So once the weekend snow subsides, John heads out that way. However, his first stop isn't any store. It's the Pokémon center. Giant the Golurk lands right in front of it, arms and legs popping out where there had been rockets while he was in the air. Because that's how Golurks work, apparently. Once the behemoth is solidly on the ground, it bends down and holds an arm out, which John slides down, hopping to his feet once he hits the flat open palm. Hell yeah. This is how a ghost master travels.]
[A ghost master in a nerdy hand-knit argyle sweater vest, sure, but a ghost master nonetheless!!! At least he's opted for a plain blue scarf instead of a bowtie to go with it...]
Sup, Tenten?
rolled a 1, so Tenten's going to get her ass kicked haha
But wow that Golurk is impressive, and her awe shows on her face as he lands. Because god damn that is cool.]
What Pokémon is that?!
[She looks so excited. In much better shape than earlier in the week when John had seen her last.]
OH NO POOR TENTEN.........
[Giant plants his hands on his hips, striking a heroic pose.]
I won't be using him in our battle though. After a six hour flight, I think he deserves a rest.
[The Golurk's arms drop and he looks absolutely crestfallen. HE'S NOT TIRED DAD, HE CAN FIGHT. HE CAN FIIIIGGGHHHHTTTTT.]
No...no don't look at me like that. Dammit, Giant... [He pulls a Pokéball off his belt and calls the enormous ghost back. This is for your own good, dude.] Anyway, I can tell you more about Golurks later if you want. In the meantime, what sort of battle are we doing? Full team of six, 3-v-3...? Double?
no subject
[Is that a hungry gleam in her eye yes it is. She looks a little crestfallen herself when Giant disappears back into the ball, but gets over it quickly.]
Oh, double!
[She claps her hands together, then regrets it almost immediately. She never gets to do double battles, so she doesn't have as much practice with them. But hey, live and learn, and if it's John, she's sure she'll be able to pick up some good tips.
She jabs a thumb behind her should to indicate the Pokemon Center.]
You wanna go ahead and switch your team around?
12/19
C'mon, Hana, hurry it up! My balls're about to shrivel up into my asshole!
[Hana shoots him a disgusted look. Listen, man, you can't rush nature! Also, rude.]
no subject
Hey! Yusuke!
[She's not budging from her spot by the Pokécenter, she's close enough to the door that it's still fairly warm.
She does toss a Pokéball into the air, releasing a certain Mienshao. Wearing a knit hat and scarf. Adorable.]
If you're that worried about the cold, how 'bout we battle instead?
no subject
Heh, thanks but no thanks, Tenten. Pokemon battles're all right, but I doubt standing around ordering my pets to kick the shit out of your pets'll get my blood flowing enough to warm me up.
[He pulls his hands out of his pockets and begins cracking the knuckles on each hand. Hana looks exasperated. Uh-oh, he's got that glint in his eye...]
Now, if you wanna have a quick scrap, that I'd be down for. I've been looking for some new people to spar with.
no subject
But he doesn't get the chance to, Tenten lightly tapping the Mienshao's shoulder to give him an apologetic smile.]
You wait here. Watch and learn, [she tells the Mienshao, and even if he looks a little disappointed, he relaxes a little to watch his trainer approach the other.
Tenten stretches her arms over her head to loosen up briefly before tossing him a smirk.]
Works for me. Any ground rules you wanna set?
sorry for the delay!
[Very funny, Yusuke. He shakes his head.]
Nah, I'm good. We might wanna find a more secluded area before we start bustin' each others' faces, though; the cops in this place're a joke, but I'm pretty sure they'll still blow the whistle on us if they see us fighting in the street. I dunno about you, but I don't feel like sitting in a jail cell.
[Hana, meanwhile, has finished doin' what she was doin', and is now giving Neji a pretty mean look. Who cares if you've got a type advantage against me?, is what that look on her face seems to be saying. She growls at him. I can still bite your face off!]
not a problem lol look at my delay oops
I dunno if I'd wanna get my fingers in all that gel you've got in there, anyway, [she teases. Yes, she's taking the hair-pulling comment completely at face value, because it's a valid technique!]
Let's head for the outskirts, then. Should be alright enough once we're past the city limits, you think?
[Seemingly impervious (or, more likely, oblivious) to Hana's look, Neji lets out a playful growl and jumps lightly around his trainer. Yes! They're going outside the city! Maybe he'll get to fight some wild Pokémon while they're out there!]
no subject
[... says he, as he shrugs deeper into his coat and begins leading the way to the outskirts of the city. Well, that's... that's one way to plan ahead. He half-turns around to make sure Hana's following him, and of course, she is - she started padding after him the instant she noticed him walking away, albeit not without first directing an indignant huff in Neji's direction. Challenge her to a fight while she's attending to nature, then blow her off when she tries to express her righteous anger over it? Rude.
At any rate, Yusuke's not really in the habit of making small talk with people when he's getting ready to punch them in the face, so he's quiet at first as they're making their way
downtownout of the city. Eventually, though, he does turn back and address Tenten again, asking her:]So hey, how's that egg I sold you doing?
