and now, we feast!
Who: The New Dai-Gurren Dan!! and other people at the restaurant I guess
Where: some random nice restaurant in Violet, preferably one that will tolerate the noise
When: The evening of august 21st, right after the event!
Summary: The Dai-Gurren Dan celebrates victory the only way they know how to: FEASTING! MINGLE MINGLE MINGLE!
Rating: PG-13 at most for potential language
Log:
The good half-dozen-or-so members of the new Dai-Gurren Dan that had fought off the Unown invasion returned to their post at Violet City, mostly exhausted from all the hard work but feeling pretty good about themselves. While the group had been treating their teams to a round of healing at the Pokémon Center, Yoko had presented an idea: to celebrate their victory by pigging out at one of the local restaurants, and spend some time to get to know each other better.
It took some searching, but she had found a place that would be able to cater for such a large group of people. In practically no time, they had been seated and ordered.
[OOC: I didn't participate in the event because I had company over during that time. Yoko was there, though, she was just on autopilot.]

It's past his bed time!
Hopefully those around him still had enough energy left in them to make it contagious. He had already started on the dinner rolls, groggy eyed and slowly chewing.

With a soft sigh, she sank into a chair near Bridget and gave him a small smile in greeting. "You seem a little sleepy."
no subject
"Ah. . .yeah. . I don't normally stay up this late." He didn't want to admit that the fight had also tired him out though that was a big part of it.
(OOC: I'm shocked Litchi isn't drinking. XD )

Absently running a finger along the rim of her water glass, she added, "But you know... I'm sure no one will hold it against you if you go to get some rest."
[[ooc: Oh god don't encourage it. XD]]

He's swaying a bit and his words are muddled.

That was more than enough reason for the whole lot of them to kick back, have some good food, and celebrate the victory.
Unfortunately, not everyone was there.
As the day had drawn to a close and most of the group had started to return to Violet City for some well-earned rest and relaxation, Heather had opted to stay behind despite general exhaustion to help search for the missing Kay.
She didn't intend to let them have ALL the fun without her, however, because frankly, she was still worried and sore and could use a few happy thoughts to keep the general eeriness of those whole ruins away.
So in her place, a small, hastily-constructed substitute made of a stick, a head of loose Furret hair, and a scrap of paper with this scribbled onto it:
was handed over with explicit instructions to "lean it up in a chair and let it watch over the feasting in her place, all while being silent and stoic, like Batman".
Either she hadn't realized that this would be inviting a lot of retarded drunken pictures being taken of it in awkward or surprising places, or she knew and didn't care, OR she knew perfectly well and would in fact expect no less. Either way, Not-Heather is presiding over the festivities, being silent and stoic like Batman.

That woke him up a bit. He hoped Heather was doing well with the search. He planned to join her after he ate a little.

Heather had never claimed to be a good artist.
Later on, when the Not-Heather had been reclaimed by its creator, she would be incredibly amused to discover Bridget's little addition.

Leader posts late, but is probably gonna declare a slowatus due to moving soon
Lifting his mug of... something to the air, he bellows out to his compatriots, "Oi! Dai Gurren Dan! Ya guys did great out there the past few days! It's been a helluva while since I saw something like that! I'm gonna be holdin' you guys to that standard from here on out!" He takes a swig from the mug, before addressing his team again.
"Now, I'm lookin' to book it outta here once everyone that wants one gets their badge. Who else is gonna throw down with the gym leader!?"
Hey, I'm late too. o/;;
no subject
"Besides--the adventure is more fun when you don't know what to expect!"
Yay! I'm not the only late-guy!
his sidekickKirsten, "Ya did fine kid. Yer not a fighter and yet ya handled yerself like I'd expect from anyone here."no subject
Yoko looks down at her cleavage--for those who hadn't picked up yet, it's the best she could do with her pokéballs without some sort of belt analogue. Her Larvitar had been returned to her own ball; Yoko didn't feel like being cruel and eating in front of her without any of Larvitar's precious dirt anywhere near.
"I don't think they'll be ready for that any time soon. They're having enough of a hard time with the rookies--I can only fathom how well they'll fare against a professional."

His line of sight returned to the redhead's face when she spoke, "Oh yeah, what are you gonna do here now? You goin' the trainer route like most of us? Or are ya gonna do that breeding thing with Kirsten, Melfina an Litchi?"
no subject
"Nah, the breeding thing isn't really for me. The training seems to be a lot more like teaching."
A thoughtful look suddenly comes over her features. Oh, wait, I don't think I've told him about that, yet...
no subject
So letting that slide, he takes another swig of his mug before starting in, "Then we'll start workin' yer partner into shape as we go along then! We're bound to swing around here later, so you can always take this Falkner-guy on then!"
no subject
Oh Yoko, you'd be so proud that your sorta-dumb boyfriend has been learning to think...
Holding it so she could see, he seems rather proud as he explains the situation, "Take a look for yerself! The next few towns are laid out in a loop! Since we'll be goin' the full run of it, we'll be able to swing through here again for you to take yer shot!"
Kamina pauses after that part, waiting for the praise to roll in from the girl that always complained that he never thought things through. Curious though is a spot on Route 36, just a little behind Violet that's circled in red with a '?' pointing to it.
so proud she doesn't even
She hands back the map and sits back, rolling the idea around in her head. "Well, it sounds like a good plan to me!" She gestures to the map once more. "What was that note all about, though?" Yoko asks, hoping that it wasn't some sort of monkeywrench that would throw off their plans.
...But he'd know about that before suggesting the idea, right?
no subject
"That red thing?" He asks, more just as a start and less to confirm that's what she was asking about, "A couple of guys on the network thing were goin' on about some kinda weird tree bein' there. Thing's hard as rock, blocks the path an actually smack ya if ya try to push around it."
"Weirdest fuckin' thing I ever heard, but with what some of the critters do? I ain't about to write it off."
no subject
"A sentient kind of tree, huh? Sounds like our kind of mystery. So what direction are we going to get it from?"
no subject
"If everyone's been gettin' smacked attacking it from Violet's side, we'll circle around and get it's backside. That's all there is to it!"
no subject
"Sounds good to me." Of course, Yoko was completely clueless about this whole...tree thing...but trusted in Kamina. After all, this place had proven itself to be almost offensively safe, so they really had nothing to lose but time.
...
But honestly, if all that time is to be spent with him, it's hardly time wasted at all.
"It probably goes without saying, but I'll be rooting for you in that gym battle," she says with a smile.
no subject
"Heh, if that's the case, I'll make sure to put a really good show for ya then."
