What's better for a sore back than a massage? Nothing. That's what.
Who: Solid Snake (
imthe_shit), Rose Lalonde (
tentacletrainer) and possibly John Egbert (
ghostytrainer)??
Where: The Egbert-Lalonde household in Ecruteak.
When: January 5th
Summary: Snake mentioned a sore back and Rose all but kidnapped him to la casa Egbert-Lalonde for a bit of massage therapy.
Rating: Man who knows. PG mostly probably. Be wary of swearing I guess.
Rose knew Vodka would be returning soon. It had been about four hours, so it was time to start watching the skies for the large Dragonite. Since it wasn't that cold (50 degrees? That's skirt weather), she could do the waiting outside, which a couple of her younger Pokemon were excited about. That meant she could play with them or they could go play in the tall grass.
Hope you didn't fill up on Sneaky Snake Snacks™ on the way there, because Rose most certainly has lunch prepared.

When he'd met Vodka, he was a little taken aback. That Pokemon was much bigger than he was expecting, which all things considered, was silly of him to assume otherwise. But the ride over had been surprisingly easy-going... And comfortable. Looks like Rose hadn't been pulling his leg.
Snake had only worked through a calorie bar and spent most of the time watching the scenery pass below him. It was a good thing he wasn't scared of heights.
It wasn't long before they arrived in Ecruteak, and Snake got down off the Dragonite, giving it a pat on the arm as thanks.

Then again, he is a dragon.
Once they set down and Vodka is done cuddling the man for the praise (he is a very touchy feely dragon), the girl approaches him with a smile and an outstretched hand.
"Mister Snake, I presume." She thinks she's being silly. "It's a pleasure to have you over!" Don't mind the gaggle of baby Pokemon dashing over to inspect you.
Or the various ghosts that may or may not be waiting to spook you.
Actually you'll likely run into a lot of Pokemon that will want your attention. Sorry about that.

"... Nice place you've got here." The old soldier blinks, before looking back up at Rose and taking her hand, "How do you manage with so many of these things? I've only got one baby Pokemon and he's already as big as me." Ah, the growth of an Onix.

"Thank you! John and I are very happy with the place. And it's all about having enough room." Chuckling, she shakes his hand as she's given it. "Well, that and we have some fantastic baby sitters as well." Speaking of, here Snake. Let this Dusknoir lead all the little ones away with a few toys. That should make things a little easier on you. "Are you hungry? I've lunch ready inside."
Here, follow her.

At the mention of lunch, Snake perked up a bit, "Lunch? You're spoiling me." He began to follow her inside, hands stuffing into his pockets.

"Besides it's nothing spectacular. John is the cook of the house. All I really make is macaroni and cheese or some sandwiches."

He's keeping his socks on because at his age, he needs any warmth he can get. Clearing his throat, the old soldier follows after her and gives a bit of a laugh.
"Macaroni and cheese? You're a gourmet chef, in my opinion. All we ever eat back home is burnt eggs and instant noodles. Not exactly the most nutritious of meals."
