Speaking as someone who's done a fair amount of changing recently, herself?
It's...hard to get used to at first, because it's different from what you know, and what you know is what feels like you. So it doesn't quite seem to align at first, like something's always a bit out of place, and there's that sort of nagging that something isn't right.
But if it really is a change for the better, it usually works out. And seeing that it's worked out makes it a little easier to repeat the next time.
