MONDAY MONDAY GOTTA GET DOWN ON MONDAY
Be careful, Carmen. It will take approximately 0.3 seconds for the Eevees to storm into the foyer. ]

Oh, well. What's life without a little adventure.
She'd stopped off to pick up takeout before making her way by the house (it being only polite, since she's the guest crashing the place), but given that "enough Asian-style takeout for twelve" isn't exactly a small load to carry, she's a bit bogged down as she makes her way up the steps with an armful of bags and her Kadabra in tow.
Rather than trying to wriggle a hand free, she just taps on the door with the toe of her shoe once she's arrived. They'll figure it out.]

--for that moment when Naegi twists the knob and pulls the door open. ]
no subject
She has approximately two seconds before physics catches up (force equals mass times accelleration, kids), and in those two seconds she at least manages to get down off the porch enough that the incoming wave doesn't actually knock her down the steps; it just kind of bowls her over.
The downside to this being, of course, that the bags of food by necessity go flying.
...
The upside to this being, of course, that Carmen is not an idiot, and her Kadabra is well-trained, so the bags remain safely out of peril as she hits the ground and proceeds to be buried beneath the swarm, and Chief keeps them casually suspended in midair to wait for the master of the house.]
no subject
[ He doesn't even have to finish the sentence before he realizes it's too late and that the mass of Eevees aren't going to stop. So much for hoping they would ever get tired of doing this. ]
...Are you okay?
[ Naegi runs down the steps and swiftly gathers up six of the furry little things in his arms; he can't possibly carry them all but this will at least reduce the number of Eevees wanting to greet Carmen by trampling and licking her face. ]

Tuesday, mid-morning, outside Bookwurmple
[Though he hasn't been very impressed with Pokemon Town's literature thus far (except for Dig, which he still tries to get people to read) he's convinced there are some gems hidden. There have to be! He tugs a dark book from the pile that has two different price cut stickers.]
Hmmmm, what do you think, Edgar? I've found three different books with the title Flying Type, each by different authors. Think we should try this one out or give up?
no subject
Excuse me, please.
[Still, might as well get inside and out of the rain, and the bookshop looks like as good a place as any to wait it out. Don't mind her just making a beeline for the door, then.]
no subject
Miss! I don't want to trouble you, but have you read this book?
no subject
I don't think I have. At least, the title isn't familiar; what does the back cover say it's about?

Tuesday's child is full of grace...not.
...or at least, until he gets swarmed by the Eevee horde.
Thankfully his back pack cushions his fall but there's no avoiding the swarm. Leon's homecoming was meant to be a quick and quiet (well, as quiet as Leon could be) affair. There's no hope of that now, what with all the loud yelling, cursing and flailing that's going on at the living room.]
no subject
[THUS COMES THE VOICE OF CAPTAIN UNHELPFUL, who has apparently taken the standing invitation to make herself at home to heart, and has since been commandeering the kitchen in order to make herself a cup of tea.
When she appears in the doorway, she's looking fairly posh — red heels, hair tied beneath one ear, with a gray pencil skirt and a warm red sweater accented by a filmy scarf. And, of course, the steaming cup of tea held daintily in her black-gloved hands isn't hurting things, either.]
But it's nice to know that happens to everyone around here.
no subject
[Scowling heavily, Leon finally manages to push the last Eevee off his chest and pick himself up. The other Eevees continue to jump around his legs but at least they're not forming a brown and white tidal wave to drown him in fur and fluff again. The smallest Eevee in particular though stands on two legs and places his front paws on Leon's knees, cheerfully calling out to Leon with a bright smile on his face. As irritated as Leon is, he manages a slight smile towards the small guy and leans down, allowing the Eevee to climb onto his arm before he forms a sort of cradle for the Pokemon to nestle in comfortably. It's only then does Leon finally look up and notice the woman in red.]
M-miss Carmen!?
[Leon's face turns slightly red himself; it's not...very manly to cuddle cute animals, right? So much for his rating on the manliness scale.]
I-it's not like I'm crazy over the Eevees! This one just happens to like me an' I'm jus' bein' nice, s-so, don't think I'm some wimp who gets gushy over cute animals.
no subject
She's managing to quell her laughter, thank goodness, since she suspects he'd just get irritated at that (people who think they're being laughed at usually do), but she can't keep the smile off her face, and certainly isn't bothering to try.]
Oh, not at all. I think it's admirable of you to be so kind to him — you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat things weaker than them, after all.
tuesday; whenever
[Outside the Breeding Center was one (1) cheerful Lancer--in the usual fluorescent shirt--who seemed to be in the middle of training.]
['Training' here meaning 'sparring with a Lucario'. In addition to fighting with his hands and feet, strangely he seemed to be twirling around a fishing rod in place of a lance. Beside the two of them was an eager-looking Tyrogue, following along and apparently mimicking his trainer's movements (with a twig, rather than a full-sized fishing rod. That would just be silly.)]
C'mon, you have to move faster than that! [That was addressed to the Lucario, with Lancer adding a quick remark to their companion:] And you, you might yet match up to your namesake after a little while.
[If you want to quickly run in the opposite direction from the weirdest trainer ever, Carmen? Now is the time to do so.]
no subject
As it happens, the kids she rolled into town to visit live right next door to the Breeding Center, so she's sitting on the steps of their porch with her Kadabra lingering faithfully nearby, a carryout cup of steaming...something clasped securely in her hands as she watches the impromptu show.]
Well done!
[The praise, however, comes out a little odd — there's a different ring to her voice, and despite coming out in English, the words are pitched with the underpinnings of an Irish accent.
Which would make sense, considering it's the universal translator at work, and she'd actually called out Maith thú!, instead.]
no subject
Hm? [Lancer looked up with obvious interest, smirking and offering a wave when he caught sight of Carmen.] Hey there, l--
[--only to be promptly kicked in the face and knocked flat on his back as soon as he took his eyes off the (possibly apologetic) Lucario.]
...probably had that coming.

MONDAY
However, he's been feeling a bit more up to being upstairs lately, at the very least; as long as it's not further trips outside - because he's not sure how well that's going to go and that sounds a bit overwhelming - giving himself something to do sounds manageable.
So. Upstairs during late afternoon it is then; while he's not going to be announcing his presence, exactly, the sound of pool balls being racked up followed shortly by the sharp noise of a clean break is likely enough to do it for him.]
no subject
She's got Chief with her today, and the Kadabra has been obediently following along a few paces behind her wherever she's gone; though he nearly bumps into her when she pauses to listen to the sound of the pool balls breaking, he quickly corrects himself, and maintains his composure with little more than a vaguely quizzical look.
It takes Carmen all of about five seconds to decide to walk right in, and so she does — having entrusted Chief with her coat and hat, so she's looking rather teacherish at the moment in a charcoal gray turtleneck and black slacks accompanied by her perpetual red heels.]
I wasn't sure if you'd be up, you know. Hello, Ishimaru.
[Might as well give him some warning she's coming before she barges right up into his space, at least.]
no subject
It's easier if there's something else to focus on. A task, something to eat, a game. Anything that isn't the silence that tends to span while he tries to work out what he should say.]
...Good afternoon, Miss Carmen.
[His words are quiet, laced through with the usual obedient tone that one should take around their teacher.]
It's been a while since I...contacted you last... [His gaze darts lightly around the table; something to do, something to look at.] ...Sorry about that.
no subject
[It's hard to look at him like this, frankly; it's not hard to spot the almost fidgety way he's casting about for something to do, and it conflicts so sharply with her impression of Ishimaru as so generally collected and self-possessed (or at least, putting on a good front of pretending to be) that it sits badly with her.]
I brought lunch, if you're hungry. There's steamed vegetables, rice, and noodles, among other things. I didn't know exactly how many I was feeding so I brought enough for twelve.

SHORTLY BEFORE 11 ON THURSDAY
Well, if it isn't, he may as well get a bit of training done before it really gets cold. After all, he only recently got a few of his Pokemon to level 100, and it was time to rotate them out for a few more inexperienced Pokemon. So, he makes it a point to head out to the route leading to Goldenrod early...ish.
Well, okay, at least before it gets too late in the day. He's admittedly a bit bundled up anyway, even if it isn't too cold out. Currently, he has two Pokemon out... well, he knows that, at least. One, a Drifblim, is floating in his general vicinity, scanning the area, and Kayneth also seems to be looking for something in abject frustration.
...meanwhile, travelers on the route may encounter a Pokemon that... really shouldn't be there, as wild Vaporeon aren't generally a thing that happens.
...also, they usually aren't temperamental enough to snarl at people and slip back into tall grass.]
no subject
And it really is an owner-set course, because if anyone happened to be watching closely, they might observe that the aforementioned owner (and current rider) is not actually flying at the moment; she's snuggled down into the marshmallow owl's big floofy feathers, apparently fast asleep.
Which is sort of a problem given that Teri the Togekiss has just spotted that "wild Vaporeon" in the tall grass and decided to make an abrupt course correction to further investigate this strange phenomenon on behalf of her trainer.
...which is sort of a problem because doing so happens to jar the aforementioned owner right out of her sleep, which in turn makes her jolt awake, which in turn makes her lose her balance on the bird's back.]
AUGH!
[BOMBS AWAY, KAYNETH. You now have a woman falling for (or at least toward) you, instead of the other way around.]
no subject
Lord knows, Kayneth tries to step up and do the dignified thing and catch her... but his Drifblim appears to have the same idea and accidentally slams into him, putting both of them in Carmen's trajectory and pretty much ensuring that Carmen will, at the very least, fall on Kayneth, if not both him and the Drifblim, because he is Lord E-Rank Luck. It's him.
...meanwhile, the Vaporeon happens to notice he's being pursued, but in this case... well, instead of darting off somewhere, he decides to stand his ground.
From the looks of him, he isn't exactly intending to give Teri a friendly greeting. Quite the opposite, actually... granted, it's unlikely to do much given that he's level 1, but it's the principle of the thing.]
no subject
Plan B being, hurling her Kadabra's ball at the ground and trusting he'll be able to figure it out once he's emerged.
To Chief's credit, he catches on quickly. With how fast everything is unfolding, there isn't really time to do much, but he does manage to catch his trainer enough that he can at least keep her from plummeting. So, he shoots out a clawed hand, fully intent on snagging her with a blast of telekinesis.
And while does not in fact manage to catch her, he does manage to stop her sufficiently, such that she rather gracefully drifts down and gently lands on Kayneth, rather than hurtling at him like a falling sack of bricks.
Hey, man. You take your victories where you can get them.]
