It's been much too long, I feel it coming on

Who: Kushina Uzumaki ([personal profile] ghostpepper) & Minato Namikaze ([personal profile] aflashoffaith)
Where: Olivine City
When: January 25
Summary: It's Minato's birthday and his wife has decided to monopolize his time for the day. Also new town means some exploring's probably going on. Fluff highly likely.
Rating: PG for now

[The ferry ride had felt like it had taken too long. Three days at sea and the 25th had been creeping up on them. Too many times she had been tempted to find the captain and demand to know if the piece of junk carrying them could get to the next port any faster. But they had decided to take things easy for this trip. A little downtime for them and their teams.

A day remained when they finally reached the mainland. Not much time left for planning anything big, especially since they still had to find a place to stay, but no matter. Naruto was off traveling with Itachi, so they could do something together. Keep it just the two of them. But what? It was a big city, surely there was plenty to find. Just a pick a place to start then see if there was somewhere he wanted to go. Seems like a solid plan.

On the morning of the 25th, her brain begins to sluggishly put together initial plans for the day as soon as her eyes crack open. Get up, make breakfast for both of them, think of somewhere to go first... Yep. Solid. She's still half asleep when she gets to the kitchen and starts rummaging around to make tea.

[His gaze moved from his 'gear up to his sleep zombied wife as she shuffled into the kitchen, her long hair rather fuzzy and sticking up in places, pajamas wrinkled.

She was beautiful.

For a moment he just watched her move about, filling up the kettle to boil water, picking out a mug from the cabinet. He'd been the first to wake up, as how the case usually was, but not really long enough to do more than make himself a pot of coffee and feel a little more human, and a little less zombie.

She hated coffee, he didn't even bother to offer it to her. But there were creamers and milk, sugar, sat out on the table already, for the both of them (her dislike of all things bitter had somehow translated into him sweetening up all of his drinks too).

Morning.

[Perhaps he should have started on breakfast instead of checking the "news" (aka: posts from the other people stuck here) and normally he would have but, well.

It was his birthday and she was a better cook and he wanted something special.

Sleep well?
