Catch-all party post for Tenten! She's got so much money these days that she just rented the closest thing to an onsen-and-ryokan she could find. I'll be throwing up different areas and turning comments off, so feel free to thread amongst yourselves. It's a party post, you guys know how to do the thing. Also feel free to assume that Tenten would have made arrangements around March 3rd, and worked to try to get flyers to Fly people in if necessary.

ALSO IT'S GOING TO END UP THUNDERSTORMING (thanks, weather); everyone is invited to sleep over. There will be a thread for inside shenanigans, too.

[Somebody's never used chopsticks before, and it's this loser right here. It's pretty obvious too, given the way he's fiddling with the chopsticks, trying to pick up a piece of meat to no avail.

When he spots Tenten, he gives a small sigh.]

Man, how do you even do this?

[She laughs as she drops onto a cushion next to him and pulls a pair of wooden chopsticks out of their paper sleeve.]

It's not that hard! Here, just hold them like this, [and she splits them apart to hold and show him.]

Then you just, you know... [And then she reaches across him to grab a shrimp dumpling and pop it in her mouth.]

Like this! Have you really never used chopsticks before?

[Okay, having a visual demonstration definitely helps. After watching her closely, he'll split the sticks apart and try grabbing one of those dumplings, but his grip's still a bit clumsy.

Man, he's gotta look pretty dumb right now.]

Nah, I'm more of a fork and knife kinda guy. Never actually bothered using them before.

I like forks since they're better weapons in a pinch, but chopsticks are just easier to use.

[Says the girl who's been using chopsticks for almost everything all the time. She's just going to reach across with both hands to reposition the chopsticks in his hands, shifting his fingers up higher.]

Try it like that.

Easier to use? Since when?

[He flicks one of his wrists, fumbling the chopsticks between his fingers-- well, up until she readjusts them for him.]

Forks are easy. You just pick one up, stab the food with it, and bring it to your mouth. This takes dexterity.

[Still, he'll give it a shot, slowly reaching out for the nearest dumpling.]

I guess I'm just used to it! I mean it, this is what we used for most everything back home.

[Good luck, Riku! She's rooting for you! (And ready to snatch that dumpling with her own chopsticks if it starts to fall.)]

I hope that doesn't include soft foods like ice cream.

[Well, through some strange stroke of luck, he's managed to pull that dumpling up to his mouth, and he'll go ahead and take a bite, all while clumsily trying to keep it stuck between his chopsticks. It's a start, right?]

[She laughs.]

No, silly. We use a spoon for that, duh. And soup, too, unless it's ramen or something. Then you use chopsticks on the noodles then drink the broth.

[It's definitely a start!]

See, you're getting it! I knew you could.

Well, I guess that beats trying to get the noodles wrapped around a spoon...

[He can see it with a fork, or a fork and spoon combo, but by itself? Heck no.

Now then, seeing how Riku's starting to get the hang of this whole chopsticks thing, he'll go ahead and finish up that dumpling before surveying the rest of the selection. What to test the waters with next...?]

[Well done, she's so proud of him, laughing and nodding in response. There's all kinds of seafood available, along with various types of noodles, fried rices, and pot stickers. Basically a combination of Chinese and Japanese food, because that's how Tenten does her thing.

But for now, they're able to talk reasonably quietly thanks to the music from the karaoke machine, so she just shifts a little closer to glance up at him and ask,]

[Ah, there's a subject change he hadn't expected, though in hindsight, maybe he should've. Well, he'll go ahead and pick at some of the seafood-- particularly at any crab, shrimp, or lobster that may be available.]

Nothing's come up since Olivine. Managed to disarm one of the bombs, but I think "Seth" bailed before we could reach him. In other words, he could pull the same stunt all over again...

[And knowing him? He probably will.]

[She nods, exhaling a breath and resting her chin on her hand, her elbow sandwiched between two plates.]

Is this guy a reoccurring figure? This "Seth" guy? I don't remember hearing of him before all this shit.
