☆ YOU ARE HERE ☆




KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think upscale garden party! There'll also be a ballroom indoors for more traditionally fancy red-carpet goings-on, but most of the action (and volume of guests) will be found mingling out back.
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since there's a limited amount of bedrooms in this house and they're all being occupied by Clair, Lance, the Elite Four, and guests who are regrettably way more important than you. However, this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four (and their special guests) have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who prefer the classy elegance of a formal red-carpet gala over the more whimsy outdoor garden party atmosphere in the back. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.

• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — we've detailed them further right here. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.

• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.

• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. There are also pictures of the Elite Four members themselves, though it seems there's been a changeover since the last prom; the candids and Official Portraits™ depict different people entirely now (with the exception of Bruno) and there are a few photos of some sort of ceremony among the others. These photos include Lance being declared Champion of both regions by Professor Oak, while the rest of the Elite Four look on; Lorelai hugging Will and Karen immediately after their promotion to Elite Four; Agatha and Koga having an exhibition battle between her Gengar and his Crobat; all six of them piling into the frame for what amounts to a massive group selfie, etc.

The falls..?

[While Chihiro had heard talk about them, he hadn't really intended on going to see them himself. Mostly because he didn't fancy wandering around here too much on his own. Still, they sound interesting enough for Chihiro to want to go see them if given the opportunity.]

I...I think I'd like that. ...If you don't mind.

[But why would you be asking if you minded? That and Chihiro hasn't actually seen a Bloober before. And the falls apparently have those, don't they?]

O-oh, right!

[Chihiro carefully reaches over and rummages around in one of the front pockets of his bag sitting nearby, pulling out a pokeball so he can return the sleeping Eevee for the time being.]

I'll be there in a few minutes.

[As far as this day goes with people wearing more casual things and all, Chihiro has...well, nothing else, really. He's got his uniform he arrived in but not much else besides. There are the pants and suit compliment of Togami, of course, but it's doubtful that he'll be wearing those in public for quite some time.

Nonetheless he will meet Ishimaru outside rather quickly once he's gotten dressed, with his Zigzagoon plodding along behind him.]

[Well, Ishimaru is all...gakuran'd out again, for the time being; it's what he's most comfortable in, after all, but it's not like he's doing too well either on the clothing front.

He doesn't appear to have any of his Pokémon out, but that doesn't mean they aren't around; Aiko is...somewhere, he's sure, just not visible at the moment. The Misdreavus tends to keep an eye on his classmates, and he's told her to alert him if Saionji is anywhere near their general vicinity.

She was a "gift" of sorts from Ishida almost a year ago, which is a bit awkward, but she's useful nonetheless.]

[Chihiro looks up at Ishimaru with a small nod and a smile. Well, it looks like just getting out of being cooped up inside has done him a bit of good already.]

Oh...I'm glad. It would be nice to see the falls...now that we have a chance to. I would probably regret missing out on it if I chose not to.

There are too many people there to spend all my time in there, I think. At least right now.

But....I'd much rather be out here, anyway. It's too nice outside to stay in there.

[It's a bit of a weak excuse to avoid people, but hey, this is literally one of the first few times he's been able to freely go in and out in quite some time. He's doing his best to relish that as much as he can.]

[And he does; he's been here for quite some time and he still gets that sort of feeling once in a while. Usually when something bad has happened, admittedly - he's never believed in running from his problems entirely, but there's something...good, about the fact that he can just leave the area if he has to. He's run once, when it became too much to handle in February; he understands needing to get away from everything.

And besides, being able to go out whenever you want to is one of those basic things that no one realizes how much they appreciate until they can no longer do it.]

Have you been getting accustomed to this place well enough?

[It really is something people tend to take for granted, a basic desire that- once stripped away- is really enough to make someone feel totally helpless.

Yes...it's very nice here. All of the people here seem...nice too, so far.

Most of them, anyway! There are a few who have caused trouble here, but it's been very good overall. We're fortunate to have been brought here, I think.

[Elated...probably isn't the right word, but relieved isn't quite it either, but it's close. Being here with the rest of his classmates and, most importantly, alive and safe is an insurmountable improvement from the horror that Hope's Peak was. Whatever the word, Chihiro's definitely glad to be here, and not trapped there.

For a moment he falls silent, keeping by Ishimaru as they make their way to the falls. Next to his ankles Isamu has to jog a little to keep up, always running in that goofy little zig-zag that Zigzagoons are wont to do.]

You arrived in the middle of June, last year; you returned home somewhere in the middle of September. So about three months, give or take.

[So the time frame of people staying and leaving really does vary, then. Some have been here for only days, some months...and then even others for years at a time.]

Well, we'll just have to make new memories while you're here, then! Who knows, maybe something will come back to you eventually!

[It probably isn't fair to tell you the truth, but he still can't help but wonder what on earth went on while he was here....it's definitely more than he realized, since he's been recognized by a few people he's never seen before in his life.]

Mmm...that would be nice. I just....feel like it...might be troublesome to have to explain to me everything that's going on, all over again.

Oh no, just....general things. ...I was just thinking that it's probably...strange, to have lost several months worth of experiences. ...As if they never happened, just because you can't remember them...

...school year started for us, in Hope's Peak?

[Chihiro hesitates for a beat before answering, folding his hands behind his back.]

N....No, I don't think so. I'm sorry, I don't....understand what you mean by that...

We attended school normally together, for about a year; we all chose to live together for a year after that, following an...incident that happened outside the school. There are photographs that I believe Naegi-kun has, and a few others that he's told us about seeing, from that time.

We were close, it seems, for two years before the game started.

[He trails off with the thought still hovering there as he tries to comprehend what Ishimaru just told him. But that.....doesn't make sense.

....but...but I don't remember anything like that happening. ...When I first arrived with everyone else ...that was the first time I had ever seen any of you.

...Our memories were taken away. I don't know how, but that's the explanation we received from Asahina-kun, the last time she was here.

[He's not...sure what else to really say to that, but for now he has no choice but to believe that at face value. Maybe he can ask Naegi later if he'll tell him more about the photographs that he saw. That and having their memories taken sounds exactly like something that Monobear would have done, so that at least he can believe.]

[That's more of a rhetorical question than anything, but he can't help but wonder what things must have been like. ...Were they all good friends? ....did they all know about, well, him? ...did he tell them, perhaps?]
