I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.
Who: Everybody on the Magnet Train + Anyone who wants to help evacuate said train!
Where: The Magnet Train!
When: April 26th!
Summary: Train robberies, Pokemon battles, and electrical fires!
Rating: If it goes higher than PG, I'll edit!
Log:
If it weren't for the heightened security while boarding, the passengers today might not have noticed any real difference between today's trip and any other trip taken by the Magnet Train. Sure the staff seem to be a little on edge, but there's about the same number of passengers as always, and they don't really seem all that concerned with the broadcasted threat. And about five, five and a half hours into the train ride, nothing really seems to have happened. Maybe the thieves were just full of hot air?
Or not since around this time the train starts slowing down before reaching a complete stop. If anybody takes a quick look outside, it'll show that the train's definitely not in Goldenrod yet. If it wasn't clear that something's wrong, a few moments after the train stops, there's a voice over the PA system that's definitely not the conductor's.
“Attention, passengers, this train is under our control now and if you don't want there to be any...accidents, you'll do as we say. In other words, stay seated if you know what's good for you.”
By now some of the NPC passengers are starting to look worried. Not all of them though. Maybe they know something the others don't?
“Now then. In a few minutes, some friends of ours are going to make their way through the cars. They'll be asking for a few things, and it's in your best interests to hand them over.”
With that, the train's speaker system clicks off.
{OOC: While the subthreads for the battles and fire are intended for the people already on the train, the subthread for evacuating the train can be tagged by anyone that would've flown out to help with the stranded train!}

[Ah, at times like these, Slash is grateful for being one of his trainer's smaller Pokémon. With the Golbat out and about, both Riku and his Weavile exchange glances, and then Slash leaps straight into the fray.
Sorry, Grunt, but Riku doesn't trust you to play fair. For that reason, Slash dives forward and launches Ice Punch straight away.]
no subject
[Not that it really matters. An Ice Punch from a level 100 Weavile to a level 39 Golbat's going to result in a KO no matter how ready the trainer is.]
Lucky shot!
[She's totally trying to save face here. Yep.]
That was my weakest Pokemon anyway, so let's see if you can do that to something a little stronger!
[And her next Pokemon is...another Golbat. Guess who picked up a few Zubats while working in the Slowpoke Well?]
no subject
[Well, another Golbat just means another go. Riku's got no clue how strong this one is, so he'll just snap his fingers, urging Slash to do an encore performance.
The question is, will the same thing work twice? After all, the Grunt's ready this time. Who's to say how the battle will go?]
no subject
[Ice Punch connects and...it does in fact work for a second time! Wow.]
Oh, you have got to be kidding me! No way you're that lucky.
[To the surprise of probably no one, her third Pokemon is also a Golbat. Will it happen a third time?]
no subject
Is his luck at its end?]
no subject
Hah! Looks like your luck's run out kid! Golbat! Swift!
[The attack's coming from a level 71 Golbat, so it might not do too much damage, but hey, she's trying.]
no subject
Well played, but this is hardly over.
[Riku nods, fixing his eyes on the bat. What to do...?]
Hey, why don't you follow your namesake? I feel like switching things up a bit.
[Nodding, Slash hops up onto the bench and dives at the Golbat for an attempted Night Slash.]
no subject
No way!
[After some more grumbling, the Rocket takes her last Pokeball and...makes a mad dash for the window! Try and cut off her escape route?]
no subject
no subject
Can't blame me for trying. I guess there's no choice left but to...
[Surrender? Nah. With a grin, she'll bring out her last Pokemon. Another Golbat!]
Use Haze, of course!
[Golbat starts spewing forth some black smoke. Maybe that'll cover another escape attempt? If not, she's got nothing else to throw at him.]
no subject
The Rocket got a good head start with the haze, though. Will a speedy maneuver be enough, or shall the Rocket flutter off, free to steal another day?]
no subject
Golbat, use, um Haze! Again!
[She's going to try the same tactic, but Golbat's still trying to right itself again, so there's an opportunity to take it out with one last strong attack.]

No way! No way!
[Instead of fleeing, she's just sort of standing there, at a loss as to what to do next, other than yell no way and stare at Golbat.]
No way!
[She's still trying to process what just happened.]
Golbat was supposed to be my ticket out of here!
[Still trying to come to terms with this loss, okay.]
