It's that time everyone's been waiting for! Time to put that nasty train robbery behind everyone. After all, haven't you heard?




Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular this last month or so, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun few days!

"Yeah, that was us. We didn't get a Stone out of it, though, that failed."

He doesn't look away from Scar for even a moment. He still doesn't completely trust him not to attack, hearing this.

"That's what I thought," Scar says hoarsely. Yeah, Envy, he knows that you didn't get the Stone out of it. Nothing came from that, except new scars and and his now pathetic, sinful existence.

A familiar rage is building up, one that he hasn't felt since arriving here. He can feel his hands, now balled into fists, quiver.

"Humans are just pawns to be thrown away to you, then."

Envy can see that, and he tenses, a small frown forming on his face. He's ready to run if he has to, or at least to duck behind Chimera. Three years ago, he would have laughed in Scar's face, because of course humans were nothing. They were less than nothing, just tools to use and toss aside.

It isn't three years ago.

"They used to be, yes. I didn't care at all."

Used to. Scar somehow has a difficult time believing that Envy has somehow repented. He has a difficult time thinking of anything when he's this angry.

"Is that some sorry attempt at an apology? Because I'm sick of hearing from people like you how horrible it was." And he isn't interested in hearing it from on of its perpetrators, either.

Does this all mean that she also had a hand in this...? He doesn't even want to think about that.

Now it's Envy's turn to narrow his eyes, more in annoyance than actual anger.

"Please, if I was going to apologize I would say so. You asked a question, and I answered it. I don't think of humans as worthless pawns anymore."

His stare is almost challenging. No, there's not any apologies from this guy today.

"Besides, I was barely involved in that one. I was occupied with something else at the time. You can go look for an apology from Pride, if you want one. Or you can keep asking questions."

Scar isn't sure if Envy's nonchalance makes it easier or more difficult to be angry with him.

"Or, you could tell me who Pride is. I was tailed by others, but never Pride." That's still a question, Scar.

"You wouldn't have been. He was too important to go out tailing people."

Envy has never liked Pride, and that disdain is very clear in his voice and expression.

"You'd recognize him if you saw him, but not by that name. He would've been King Bradley to you."

He watches Scar closely, to see how he takes that particular bit of news.

With that, everything makes sense. It all falls perfectly into place. But how the hell had they managed to do it? Wouldn't people start noticing, if their Fuhrer was displaying traits of something less than human?

"Now I understand." That rage is still bubbling in his chest, threatening to spill over. There isn't a point, anymore, to get angry about it, but Scar has never been rational. He is, at least, smart enough to not take it out on this homunculus here and now.

"Which one are you, then?"

"Name's Envy, I was wondering if you were ever going to ask."

Not that he's surprised it took so long. Aside from all the questions and realizations, he doubts that Scar would think of him as a person and not a convenient answer-providing monster. The normal people of their world wouldn't, much less someone who has plenty of reason to hate him.

Envy. Then that accounted for five of them. Scar wondered if there were more.

"And you were taken here just as the others were?" The homunculi don't have anything to do with all of this, do they? Scar can't even begin to imagine why they would, but he can't just dismiss the idea with how expansive he knows their network to be.

Envy raises an eyebrow. Is Scar asking what Envy thinks he's asking?

"Well yeah, how else would I get here? I didn't come here on purpose, if that's what you're asking. Nobody does."

He's just as much at the mercy of this world as anyone, as far as coming and going. He stretches with his arms up over his head, overacting. But he still only closes one eye while he does it.

"Are you finished? I'm starting to get bored standing around. And I'm going to miss all the shows."

"Men in brightly colored suits making fools of themselves. No, I won't let you miss that." Without another word, because he has to be mysterious okay Scar beckons for Yaminah to follow him as he turns to leave Envy behind. He'll be keeping his eyes and ears open, just in case.
