It's that time everyone's been waiting for! Time to put that nasty train robbery behind everyone. After all, haven't you heard?

Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular this last month or so, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun few days!

[She did think she heard her friend's cheers, but she wasn't quite sure. Regardless, she can hardly miss Cynthia rushing up to her after the show's over, and she laughs gaily, greeting her with a wave.]

I'm sure you've been having fun all day, haven't you? Come, tell me about it.

Oh, yeah, I've been all over the place! Mostly trying to play the games, but... I don't know, those are actually a little hard. I can't seem to win at any of them!

[...even if they weren't very likely rigged, she'd still probably lose...]

Of course they're hard, you do need to earn the prizes, after all.

[She chuckles a little, knowing darn well that most of them are rigged to be damn near impossible but not wanting to give it away.]

Which ones have you tried?

Oh, yeah! I mean, it's not like I'm going to quit. I just need to keep trying harder, after all!

Well, I figured the Test of Strength would be the most heroic thing to do, but I haven't really had much experience with axes or hammers... maybe that would help?

Maybe, but the test is really just designed to see how strong you are, period. Your skill with a hammer as a weapon shouldn't be all that much of a factor.

How did it rate you?

I don't know, though. I think if you were swinging around a big, heavy hammer all the time, you'd end up pretty strong!

...I got... maybe a quarter of the way up? Maybe?

[she knows nothing about fractions, it was more like a fifth.]

Well, that's true, but there are other ways to get strong. What sort of weapon do you use, anyway?

[She raises an eyebrow.] A quarter, really? That's not bad, for that test... it has really high standards. You saw our strongman, right? They measured it based on him.

Lances all the way! They're the official weapon of the Pegasus Knights, after all. ...Though I'd be willing to try something else at some point, if I ever decided to try anything on foot.

Wait, really? I guess I did do well, then! I guess I'll have to start showing off my Biceps of Infinite Evil Punching!

So then, you never stop punching evil? That has to get tiring, even for such a strong knight. A sad waste of your lance, too.

Well, it's more of a metaphor than anything! I am completely tireless in my pursuit of wrongdoers.

...besides, I can have my lance in one hand and punch with the other! It's a winning combination!

I see. I'm not entirely certain that's how a lance is meant to be used, but you'd know better than I would.

Completely tireless, though? Do you never sleep?

Well, I don't know if it was meant to be used that way, but there's no reason I can't come up with an unconventional style to catch my foes off guard!

...no, like... idealistically! Yeah, that's it!

I suppose that's true. Have you talked to Lancer yet? He might be able to give you some pointers, I mean it's right there in his name.

[Yes, because Cynthia meeting Lancer is not at all a terrible idea.]

...wow, I need to talk to that guy! With a name like that, I'd bet he knows everything there is to know about lances!

So I'm seeing! That must make for some very pointed conversations at times.

So, what else were you planning to do here? [Any other ways you planning to get scammed out of all your money, Cynthia?]

Oh! Well, I was thinking of getting some food first, because it all looks really great! ...I mean, I don't know what a lot of it is, but I want to try some! And then, I think I'll try some of the other games!

The food is really good. I'm pretty sure it's all horrible for you, but it tastes wonderful.

As for the games, try the ring toss! It's all about good eyes and clever hand movements, so if you pay attention pretty much anyone can do it.

Hey, isn't that how it always is? Man, though, I really can't believe how much food they have here to begin with.

And oh, man, I should be great at that! I have amazing eye-hand coordination!
