So when Winry sees that form of Envy there, she hesitates at first. ...She really should just leave it be and go find Ed. Then again, she'll find him, no problem. Meanwhile that thing getting out of its jar could be a real bad thing.

[There's a long pause. And like she expected no one responded beyond a short whimper from the Houndour as he inches in between Rachel and Tobias.]

Tobias, there's no one else here. Shouting at the sky isn't going to do anything.

[Tobias you're worrying her. You don't normally go shouting at the sky at something that isn't there. You sound like a mental patient talking about things that haven't happened.]

That's also the case for nearly every Pokémon. They learn new attacks as they grow, and sometimes they evolve along the way. Or do so twice. Some even have the opportunity to choose their new form, as long as they meet the necessary criteria.

[Tobias blinks and looks over at Rachel, confusion flickering onto his expression for just a second. All at once it becomes blank again as he asks.]

...What do you mean, shouting at the sky? ...you don't think the Ellimist is behind this?

There is no Ellimist. You haven't saved Hork-Bajir. We were flying, looking for a secret entrance to the Yeerk Pool you found. And some trick playing thing didn't zap us anywhere, or any of the others. We just...

[She doesn't have any rational explanation for how they got there. The few scenarios she's come up with so far sound too much like the plot of an episode of Star Trek and that's just straying too far into territory more often occupied by Jake.]

I don't know. Maybe we flew through some sort of airborne hallucinogenic.

[Not that that would explain why Tobias was in human form. But it at least made some minor amount of sense beyond some being that could zap people places.]

He lets out a deep sigh through his nose, looking off to the side for a moment, the gears in his head turning like mad. The Starly on his shoulder lets out a plaintive peep every now and then, concerned by how confused both Tobias and his friend seem.

Eventually he looks back over to Rachel, turning to completely face her.]

She crosses her arms, hands gripping her upper arms and wanders over to the rock protruding from the ground. Sitting down she watches the Houndour follow halfway and then pause and tilt it's head a moment as if judging if she wanted it anywhere near her.

[Luckily for Tsumiki, Kuzuryuu was actually at a stopping point in his game when she approached. It's going to save her a lot of trouble in the long run, trust me.]
