[Well that's okay. Veronica is used to the insults.] I'm only half dead. [She explained, as if that made sense.]

What are you? How did you get in this jar? [She continued to ask. Meanwhile, Murkow was obviously getting impatient that his possible snack wasn't unwrapped for him yet.]

Eh? Half dead? How is that even possible?

[Girl you're not making sense. Envy glances suspiciously at that Murkrow, then flicks its tail mockingly at him. Nyeh, can't get in here!]

I got trapped in here by a bunch of assholes! For no good reason!

It's hard to explain.

[And it's not like she could give a scientific explanation of it either. That wasn't her style. So she'll just leave it to the imagination for now.]

For no reason, huh? That's weird-ah!

[Welp, looks like Murkrow was going to take that taunt. With little hesitation he pecked at the jar, knocking it out of Veronica's hands and sending it to the floor.]

[Envy shrieks as the jar falls, and the glass shatters into pieces when it hits the hard ground. Envy lies on the pavement for a moment, dazed, before jumping to its feet and hopping a few times in triumph.]

Yes! I'm free, I'm out of that stupid jar!

[…and oh right that…Murkrow…Envy tries to bolt as fast as his tiny little legs will carry him. Which is probably not fast enough.]

[And before Veronica can say anything, Murkrow has taken off into the air after this tasty little morsel. Veronica herself stares at the starting scene before quickly going after her pokemon.

It's too late of course, and the bird swoops down on Envy.]

[Envy's not going down without a fight. When the Murkrow swoops, it turns and tries to jump and bite down on one of the bird's toes as hard as it can.]

Welp, if you've never heard a bird scream in pain, you have now. Murkow squawks and flails, taking off high into the air to try and get this little pest off his toe.

Meanwhile, Veronica watches from the ground, dumbfounded at what was happening.]
