Walter, along with Bertholt and Isabeau, arrives in Goldenrod on the 19th. The city is just as impressive as he remembers, in size and activity...

[Call me beep me if you wanna reach me -- no Peko's not that creative with her ringtones. It just rings before she answers, a bit thoughtfully.]

Any public location is fine. Where are you now?

Out front of an inn, it's a ways to the east of the Pokemon Center. [There's a cafe just over - wait damn that doesn't work if she's at the other end of the city. calm down] Don't walk too far on my account! I'll come to wherever you are.

I am not far from the Pokémon Center. I can meet you shortly.

[Considering Tsumiki works there, Peko tends to try to stay close while training her Pokémon. Just in case. In any case, she doesn't plan to just sit around and wait, so she starts heading that way, a shiny Eevee riding in her backpack with her paws on one of Peko's shoulders. Hi friends. Hi. Just an Eevee being carried in a backpack. Nothing to see here!

She's also got a cloth sword case on her back, which is completely normal for her. It might seem a little warm to be wearing black stockings with her short skirt, but that's just too bad. In deference to the weather, she has a cute Eevee umbrella over one shoulder to protect both her and the Eevee from the rain.

She doesn't wave, but once she notices Walter, she heads straight for him.]

Yes, I am. [ He sounds a little out of breath, but still pleased. ] I just arrived.

Where shall we meet?

From the south gate? Three or four blocks north of there - that's the stretches between where roads cross - there's a little park, rest your legs there. I'll head out now.

[ Despite his (relative) exhaustion, he manages to make it there before Walter does. The other youth will find him seated on a bench, accompanied by two of his Pokemon. The newly-evolved Alilat floats behind the bench, sunning itself in a patch of sunlight created with Sunny Day. Fenrir is alert as usual, stretched out on the ground. ]

Walter. It's good to see you again.

You sure of that? [He's teasing.

When Walter arrives, he beelines straight to the bench, turns around, and collapses right into the empty seat, throwing his arms over the back. Orthrus trots around Fenrir once and flops down in front of her, reaching out with one paw to tap her on the head.]

It's a better day for this than yesterday would have been. I don't envy you having to walk in that - [He lifts an arm and gestures around them.] ...But here it is, Goldenrod at last! What do you think of it?

[ He says with a slight smile, glancing around briefly. After months spent in ruined desolation, any form of life was welcome. ]

Perhaps Tokyo was like this, once upon a time. [ Maybe. Most likely.

Fenrir gives Orthrus a greeting, but she doesn't seem too pleased at being touched. ]

You think so too? [Walter lets his head drop back, looking up at the sky between the tall buildings.] On the main streets, the number of people, you should see it just once - you'd never think such a large space could seem like so little. And the windows of the stores up there, the ramparts of Mikado Castle barely hold a candle to that height. The view isn't the same, though.
