here's to travels that are smooth
Who: Nanao Ise (
bookslap), Nagi Kengamine (
noctuam)
Where: Route 29
When: backdated to 3-7 August
Summary: One sort-of dead person and one actually dead person decide to become travel buddies, and team up to take on Route 29. Surely this is going to end well.
Rating: None needed.
Log:
{With rain threatening, Nanao had hefted her backpack, and set out for Cherrygrove, determined to make at least some progress before she was forced to stop. She glanced back, and slowed her pace so she didn't leave Nagi behind.}
{Maybe having a travelling companion would be nice - if she was honest with herself, she didn't particularly want to be alone right now. Not after what she'd left behind in Seireitei.}
Did you hear that it's meant to take three days to reach Cherrygrove?

the music was also— strangely charming. he wondered how they'd sleep with it, though-? ]
Three days doesn't seem too much of a struggle— I wonder how many stops it counts?
[ from the looks of the rain, it may or may not take a while longer . . . ]

No clue. But, there is some kind of a halfway house where Route 46 joins on to this one - according to the map.
{As long as there's no more sharks falling from the sky, Nanao can deal with a little rain.}

[ he looks up for a moment, holding his hand out to the air as he walks. ] To be honest— It doesn't look like it'll poor with too much force. I wouldn't mind sleeping outside, either, if push comes to shove.
[ the stars were probably beautiful to see if the sky wasn't cloudy— but even then, any sky would be a beautiful sky to his eyes right now. it's been so long since he's seen the sky like this, so call him a bit too interested in enjoying it, but . . .
it's just really pleasant to breathe some fresh air, to get that scent of wet soil to your nose. it's pleasant when you've missed it for so long. ]

{Nanao glances back, before pulling off her glasses and polishing them with her sleeve. Replacing them, she starts walking again.}
I'd prefer to not end up with pneumonia, but as long as it keeps to a mild drizzle, I suppose I can live with it.
{She's no great astronomer, but Nanao knows her major constellations, and she's interested to see if they are present in Johto's skies.}
...truth be told, I'd feel more comfortable sleeping inside. Forests are... not the safest of places where I come from.
{There are things that go bump in the night, and wouldn't mind a Nanao-sized snack.}
*pour wOW
[ it's probably a good time to exchange things, maybe . . . ]
