[ the Lake of Rage is a great place to be and all, but that's not the only thing that's close at hand. the Ice Path isn't that far away and Sora isn't sure that Kairi has ever really got to experience snow and ice like this place has to offer just yet. so, naturally, being the kind and compassionate friend that he is... Sora has to bring her. with ice skates. so he can laugh when she slips and slides...

and so she can laugh when Sora decides to up and fall right there. because that's a thing that he totally is going to do.

the next day? well the next day they're so bringing Riku along so all three can have a laugh at each person's expense. because they are awesome friends like that. ]

[ at the moment his face is pressed into the ice. Aurora, his Glaceon, has decided to come along for this venture and is trying to help him up. trying. key word.

it's failing because Sora's kind of just slipping and falling right back down. talk about a plan backfiring. ]

[Oh, and Kairi is laughing, alright. Laughing as she clings to Wayfinder for dear life. Her knees tremble to maintain balance as she snickers at her fumbling friend.]

How's that floor taste, Sora?

[ huffs and manages to at least get upright. it's sitting, but it's progress, right? ]

Aww, now you're just being mean, Kairi.

[paopuprincess]

Hey, this was your idea.

[And you totally set her up to watch her fall all day. She knows you.]

Do you need a hand?

[Please say no she can barely stay upright. But she needs to offer because best friend is sitting on the floor.]

[ hmm hmm hmm.... ]

Yeah. I can totally use a hand, Kairi.

[ don't do it. it's a trap. ]

[She gives him a suspicious eye, before slowly wiggling her way towards her buddy.

Here, have a hand.]

[ YANKING KAIRI DOWN WITH HIM!!! ]

Oof!

[And then Kairi was on top of Sora.]

Hey, you're going to give me whiplash, you dork!

[ trapping bestie in a hug for a moment. ]

Wouldn't have to do it if you didn't laugh.

[paopuprincess]

[Nooo not hugs! She'll try to wriggle free.]

[ laughing just a little. but then he lets Kairi go to try to get back up again. ]

Do you regret coming out now?

[paopuprincess]

Hmm...

[She puts a finger to her chin, teasing.]

Aww, hey! Like you really have to think about that?

[The ice cave: his mortal enemy.

Well, no, that's Violet City, but still. This cave's close to the top. Riku's never been particularly fond of cold weather, after all. A freezing cave? Kinda overkill, in his book.

But hey, winter's a while away, his friends seemed to have a good time the day before, so here he is, clad in a sweater and skates.

All things considered, he's doing a fairly good job gliding across the ice, but every now and then he stops and fidgets with one of his sleeves. Maybe adjusts his scarf. A whack on the back from Flare sets things straight, and he starts to approach his friends...

Except that moving on ice is a pain, and thanks to Flare's little push, he's sliding in at an alarmingly fast speed. Look out!]

[heartdive]

[ asdfadsf!!! RIKU WHAT ARE YOU DOING. YOU SHOULDN'T BE GOING THAT FAST.

Sora's not so elegant on the ice at the moment. he's waving his hands and yelping to get out of the way. ]

Heads up!

[ Aurora is snatching Sora by the leg of his pants and pulling him out of harm's way. ]

[And with Sora safely out of the way, Riku has a clear line to move...

Right into Kairi, who is wrapped up in an almost hilariously large jacket. Unfortunately, the protection against the cold does not do well for movement. All she can really do is stare wide-eyed as her friend races towards her.]

[WHAM!

We have a head-on collision, and while Riku appreciates having something to cushion his fall, he does not appreciate crashing into a friend. So, once the whiplash wears off, he's going to try and scramble away.

Except they're on ice, so he winds up stumbling and falling. Grimacing, he slowly rises back to his feet and extends a hand.]

You all right, Kairi?

[heartdive]

[ OH NO.

Sora's making his way over. slowly. stiffly. he needs to help his friends up as best as he can. it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, right? ]

Are both of you guys all right?

[ might be looking back towards Flare with a 'why you do this' expression too. ]

[Kairi's taking a moment for her brain to realize she is now on the floor. She groans, rubbing her back, luckily the jacket cushioned some of the fall.]

Watch where you're going, doofus.

[islandshore]

Hey, don't blame me.

[He points his thumb over his shoulder and grumbles. Flare, in the mean time, deflates, letting out a low moan. He sorta... forgot how ice physics work.

Well, at any rate, he'll help Kairi up if she still needs it.]

But you know, Sora, I'm surprised you got outta the way in time. You're not exactly graceful.

[heartdive]

That's because it wasn't me.

[ his hands are on one of the walls. it's the only way he can keep from falling over at this point. Aurora, on the other hand, is skating along just fine. pretty cheerful, in fact. ]

But some Prince Charming you are there, Riku.

[paopuprincess]

Totally charming. My hero, Riku~.

See? Kairi's on my side.

[He grins, clasping a hand on her shoulder.]

Question is, who's the princess around here?

[He fully suspects what Sora's answer is, but if there's even a chance he and Kairi can fluster Sora with teasing, he'll take it. Heh, heh.]

Kairi, obviously. She's the one calling you her hero.

[ sorry Riku. no chance of flustering Sora just yet. ]

Besides, you're the one that said I wouldn't look good in a dress, right?

[ or something like that. Sora can't remember. but gonna tease right back! ]
