HOW TO USE THIS LOG:

Yup! And umm...well unless they pick one they want in particular, I just send any one of these guys. They're all pretty friendly-

[Even as he says that, one of them comes up and puts his paw on the screen, letting out a soft yowl as he tries to get closer to see what is this strange thing...]

Speaking of, do you want one? I sure got plenty to go around!

I haven't seen any parents around...I've just seen these little guys all over the place, to tell you the truth.

I dunno if you met that one guy at prom, Lysandre? He had a lion Pokemon that looked like it could probably be the evolved form of these guys...but if that's the case, I haven't seen any of them around anywhere.

Uh-uh. I saw a professor guy, but I don't think that was him.

[She also stole his shoes because Sycamore's life is objectively terrible like that, but you know.]

Not the old professor guy, the younger one with the wavy hair.

Professor guy? Yeah, I spoke to him! He was real nice.

[Omg Parker does he even want to know why you stole the poor man's shoes.]

But yeah, Lysandre had a lion with him. It was called Pyroar, I think. It could be the daddy to all of these lions, but I sure haven't seen one of those around today.

So these are like...Cubroars.

Can you find two? Like, are there two that look like they go together, like maybe they're related or friends or something?

Hmm, lesse...

[Jimmy sits up a little and pans the camera around so Parker can get a better look at the lions rolling around in the grass. A lot of them are play fighting, gnawing on each others' ears or batting at one another with their paws.]

What do you think? See any you like like that?

[She kind of frowns a little, looking them over with a critical eye.]

What about that one way in the back? The one that's not playing, the really little one with the funny ear.

That one? Hold on-

[The camera shifts as Jimmy stands up- with some difficulty, since there were lions clambering over his knees, and they end up spilling out onto the grass again when he gets up- walking around the others to get closer to the cub that Parker pointed out.

He doesn't get close enough to touch it, but close enough that the cub can come over if they want, sitting back down.]

I wonder why that one's not playing with the others?

[This one being smaller than the rest reminds him of his Noibat he caught recently. He separated from the rest of those bats rather quickly, and didn't seem to want to let him go after.]

I want that one. I mean, if you can get him, then...I want that one.

Shouldn't be too hard! You still want two though, right?

[As Jimmy asks, he holds out a hand in offering, watching the lion stare back at him quietly, lying on the ground with his tail flicking back and forth. He seems curious, but a little unsure at the same time.]

Uh-huh.

[She seems to think it over a minute.]

If there's another little one that doesn't play much, I want that one too.

Doesn't play much. Got it.

[He stretches his legs out when the lion doesn't approach, and as he'd expected the Litleo lifts his head a little when he notices Jimmy's shoe come close. Bless his long legs, because now his untied shoelaces are tantalizingly close....come on little guy, you know you want to play with those.]

How come, if you don't mind me asking?

[Quiet another minute, she works her mouth around a little — something she tends to do when words aren't coming particularly easy to her.]

Because I want the ones with no friends. So I can be its friend. And one for my brother, too.

[Jimmy echoes Parker's previous silence for a second as the lion finally reaches a paw out carefully, letting the claws hook onto the shoelace as he pats the top of his shoe.]

Aw...that's really nice of you. I'll make sure this little guy gets to you okay, along with the other one.

Okay, Alice! My name's Jimmy.

[He turns the camera back around so she can see the funny eared lion, who has rolled over onto his side, one paw stretched out as he quietly tugs on his shoelace.]

You picked out a cute little guy. I bet he'll be real happy with you.
