Dist's face lights up with intrigue at the sight of that pink ball of feathers. It's so elegant, what the hell even is it. But if it smells like roses he's even more thrilled by its existence.]

Why Mr. Jaeger, you shouldn't have. It's delightful!

[He is most definitely an evil scientist getting excited over a pink stinkbird.]

Sure did. A whole flock of them, really, but I didn't want to dogpile you with that many right from the start; it'd detract from the beauty of the individual, saddling you with a whole group from the get-go.

[He pauses a minute.]

Though if you want more than one, I can cheerfully oblige.

[He carefully considers that, even rubbing his chin for added effect.]

One should be enough for me. As you said, it would be much more unique on its own.

Ah, while we're talking, how are your travels treating you? Have you come across anything interesting for the organization? Aside from our newcomer Pokemon, of course.

Actually, I've got a project in the works right now — it's in the hands of someone else in your department, though I think it's probably a separate division. That's how we've been operating, I do the field work and he makes the magic happen back home.

With any luck, it'll be a real blast once it goes off.

[He thinks he can make an educated guess as to who that might be, considering the Science Department isn't as large as it used to be.

He picks up on that little hint well enough too.]

It sounds like you've got some real teamwork going; that's good. I look forward to what you and your partner come up with. We could always use more excitement coming from our ranks.
