Considering their slime's effect on my Arcanine's digestive system, that would not have surprised me either. These ones do look like a safe bet, however, unless you count potential second types. A reptile would be unlikely to be an Ice-type, but perhaps one of the others...

That's a lot of possible types they could also have. Probably not Flying, unless they start flying around once they're strong enough.

[Flying frogs would be hilarious, though.]

...But what sort of wings would they grow? They've no feathers, and a dragon's wings would look strange on them.

Maybe something like an insect's wings? Probably like a dragonfly's.

...A Water-type that obtains the Bug-type instead of losing it would be pleasant to have. It'd be less common than Water anf Flying, too.

Definitely. And it's easier to see frogs becoming part-insect than part-bird.

It is, even if it also implies terrible acts of cannibalism.

Implied terribleness? They'll fit in perfectly with everyone else and their scary Pokedex entries!

Ah, but in this case we'd have no Pokédex entry, and therefore no warning. Think of the shock that would come with their first public meal.

That would probably make the local news, since they're not exactly a natural part of the ecosystem yet. But give them time and they'll integrate, and possibly change the local wild population a bit.

I'd not mind that at all. Some of these species look lovely; if they were to find new permanent habitats here, even future trainers could enjoy raising them.

It would be great to see more trainers training and breeding them. Well, I imagine breeding would take a while since we just don't know anything about them yet.

I'm not so certain of that. It'd only take a particularly charming Ditto-

Yep. After all, frogs naturally lay eggs.

Only these guys would lay eggs with shells.

Little white and blue shells, even. Perhaps they'll resemble Swablu eggs.

[babel_hacker]

Hopefully, they would look have different patterns from a Swablu egg.

...Just in case, do you have a Swablu or Altaria?

I do, and I know exactly what they eggs look like.

In that case, you'll exactly know how many of a certain Pokemon you might get! In the odd chance of them breeding at the same time as the Swablu line.

Considering my team's breeding patterns, that chance is not merely odd.

And everyone would know once you show up with an egg offering announcement over the 'Gear.
