Oh I Wonder Wonder Do I Do I Do

Who: Anyone in [community profile] route_29!
Where: Standing in front of your PC!
When: The Week of September 14 through 20
Summary: A mod-hosted venue for players to thread out trades of Gen VI Pokemon!
Rating: G unless otherwise specified (so please specify if necessary)!
Log:

HOW TO USE THIS LOG:

• We've provided seven headers, one for each day, swarm, and location!

• Characters currently in the area who are offering to send out swarm Pokemon on that day should respond to that header with offers/an IC starter of choice/etc!

• Characters who have incorporated an offer to send out Pokemon in one of their own posts are also invited to link to their posts on this log if they so desire!

• Characters looking for swarm Pokemon respond to available starters and thread from there!

• Threads completed on this log do count towards AC, provided they meet our usual standards!

• Please try to keep threads reasonably on-topic; while we're in no way discouraging characters from making friends and building CR on this log, please utilize network posts or IC inboxes for threads purely relating to general gameplay conversations.

• For general information about the swarm plot, check here!

• For this week's swarm calendar, check here!

• For moderator questions about the swarm plot, check here!

Huh, so they do. That might give them some kind of variety, like different keys for each floating keychain.

[Because of course they float, if they're ghosts or not.]

Oooh, or maybe they steal your soul and locks it away with one of their keys. And to get it back, you must pick the correct key!

[Don't sound so excited by that, Atsuro. You're a former victim of a ghost, remember?]
enjoymyatelier: but what would that even do. (gradients of babylon...?)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-20 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
...You sound awfully enthused by the prospect of having some haunted keychain steal your soul and make you play some sort of morbid guessing game to get it back.

[They wouldn't outside of Halloween, but...]

Anyway, giving them different kinds of keys would be interesting, and I'm somewhat tempted to do just that. They'd be purely ornamental, of course, but...
babel_hacker: (Cheerful | I got an idea!)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-21 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Why wouldn't I? It would be kinda exciting to find out what they're associated with, as long it doesn't happen to me or my friends. Sorta like enjoying urban legends or horror stories in general peace and safety.

[Why the horror genre is still thriving.]

I don't see why not go with the different keys. That might make it easier to tell yours apart from others.
enjoymyatelier: actually, it totally will. (aha! a plan that will not end in failure)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-21 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, that is true, actually. Furthermore, I'd say it isn't a terrible idea to keep one for yourself even if that is the case, honestly. If it's your Pokemon, then you'd have firsthand knowledge of all their abilities, wouldn't you?

Plus it would be more aesthetically pleasing than the... fairly generic-looking set of keys they seem to have accumulated already. A set of skeleton keys would look a little more elegant, if you ask me.
babel_hacker: ([Yuzu] Glad to know you)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-27 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I'm planning on watching them while training. Like do they do anything in battle, in the wild or at night. Once I find out something, I'll try to share it as soon as possible.

[Assuming there's no soul stealing involved that would delay it.]

Skeleton keys would fit the ghost type theme. I would probably go for something more simple or a different design.

[He would probably get a 8-bit designed keychain, the nerd.]
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-28 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll thank you in advance for that, then. I'm really not sure what to expect from these aside from... something, but that is part of the fun, isn't it?

Well, I'm still not sure if they are, even if that's my best guess. I'm sure I could arrange something a bit more fitting if they aren't, but who even knows at this point... I suppose I'll just have to experiment a bit, then.
babel_hacker: (Thinking | Is that so?)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-30 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
I'll do the same, unless mine get attached to a certain set of keys. That would be fun to see what kind of tastes they like.

[Hopefully nothing gaudy and flamboyant.]
enjoymyatelier: i am just done with this shit (ugh whatever)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-10-04 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, that could be interesting, but... I really don't know. They could have no aesthetic sense whatsoever, and that would just be terrible.

All the better for you to watch over yours, if you keep one. If it's too late, at least you'll know in advance.

[Kayneth and his gaudy keys.]

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-10-23 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
...well, the one I actually caught hasn't shown any signs of excessive gaudiness yet, but it may take some time to tell...

Yeah. Maybe once it get used to being under your care and start exploring...
enjoymyatelier: zach. they're here. (migrane's a comin.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-10-27 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
...well, I'm really just hoping it turns out to have an ounce of taste if it does.
