HOW TO USE THIS LOG:

I think training your mind would be a little different from training your body.

I've had mental training before, but nothing quite so arduous.

I don't really have them, unless they're testing my programming skills and pinpointing my mistakes.

That also sounds challenging, though I'm not in the best position to judge that.

It depends! It can be challenging if I've been staring at the code for so long, my eyes start glazing over seeing my mistakes.

That sounds much like my eyes' reaction after spending hours reading history books and old peace treaties, back when I still had tutors. I do hope staring at your code is at least more pleasant.

It is! I like reading how the code are written and fit together when they're running smoothly. Of course, it doesn't make it any less frustrating when I finally find my mistakes and they turn out to be so simple.

That sort of frustration builds character. And also teaches you to never make that particular mistake again.

They better do. Otherwise I wouldn't call myself my teacher's Number 1's Apprentice.

You'd have to become the Number 2 Apprentice, instead?

No way! Not just anyone can become Naoya's student! I'm pretty much his only student.

...Would that not make you his best student by default?

[babel_hacker]

...Well, yeah. But something like that won't make me happy. It just feels like I didn't earn my position on that point.

That's why I aim to surpass Naoya himself, since he's my main competition and obstacle.

True. A victory by default is no victory at all, especially when loved ones are involved.
