Paku barred his teeth, obviously feeling a little insulted by the Mightyena's apparent scorn of him. Still, he didn't do more than that, remaining pacified at his trainer's feet. Veronica's gaze dipped down to him momentarily, glad to see that his loyalty was showing through.

A nod. "It wasn't that hard, after I figured out what to do. And I trained some of my Pokémon along the way." A thought crossed her mind and she sighed, looking rather unimpressed. "I caught one of those bat Pokémon that were attacking me, and it didn't even help." She'd have to train it more, at least get it to like her.
