HOENNWEEN: BOSS BATTLE LOG

Who: Hoennween Plot Participants!
Where: Tohjo Falls!
When: Thursday, October 30th
Summary: You've taken the Elite Four's estate and reaped the (stolen? borrowed? requisitioned) benefits waiting for you inside it. But come morning, an earthquake signals the arrival of two incredibly belligerent Legendaries and the Team Bosses who've summoned them.
Rating: PG-13 in general; please mark threads that go higher accordingly!
Log:

YOU ARE HERE. YOU'RE FIGHTING THESE GUYS.

THIS IS STILL YOUR BACKGROUND MUSIC, AND THIS IS STARTING TO LOOK LIKE AN EPISODE OF JACKASS.

KEY:
GRAY areas in the north are a range of mountains that form a natural barrier around part of the Tohjo plain where the Elite Four's resort is located. This is where you will find and battle Maxie, his Team Magma Grunts, and also obviously that sure is Primal Groudon, all right.

GREEN areas in the southeast and southwest are densely-packed forested areas interspersed by lakes and rivers that seem to be feeding into the main waterway into the area. It is both difficult and dangerous to venture into the woodlands proper, but this seems to be where a lot of the Team Aqua Grunts are stationed now.

• The BLUE area in the south is the massive lake that feeds the eponymous falls that give Tohjo its name. This is where you will find and battle Archie, his Team Aqua Grunts, and also obviously that sure is Primal Kyogre, all right.

PINK diamonds in the east and west are the sites of massive formations of Mysterious Plot Crystals™ jutting up from beneath the surface; the Grunts will not be found around these today, so if your character is looking for a safe zone well away from the crossfire, they will want to hole up near these.

• The BROWN rectangle dead-center in the map is...the Elite Four's resort. It's even more unfortunately-located today than it was yesterday. However, people willing to risk the crossfire between the Legendaries and get into the house will have access to all of the battle and healing items discussed up here!

A FEW OTHER SETTING NOTES:

• As per Arceus's summon, there will be Gen VI Pokemon joining the battle on their own! You may NPC these Pokemon, within reasonable limits; you may not capture them in Pokeballs, and they are still wild so they will not take commands from characters the way a captured Pokemon would from its trainer. However, they do recognize that the portaled-in humans are fighting on roughly the same side as they are, so they won't attack player characters and might occasionally come to their aid if need be — you're free to NPC them as you like for purposes such as this.

• The aforementioned Gen VI Pokemon can be any Pokemon that swarmed during September, plus any of their evolved forms. They've had several weeks in the wild to get buff and settle in; now you can see what they've got to show for it!

• You may NPC the Team Aqua and Team Magma Grunts as you see fit; either one can reasonably be found anywhere on the map, though they're avoiding the crystals and keeping close to their bosses — that means Team Magma will be more highly-concentrated in the northern areas of the map, and Team Aqua will be staying to the south.

• Due to the nature of the battlefield and the fact that the team leaders are going to be defending their Legendary of choice, if you choose to fight the bosses, please select whether you are going after Archie or Maxie on this particular log - you may go after one but not both.

• However, there is no restriction on how many Aqua and Magma Grunts you may fight!

• You may forego Pokemon battling entirely and simply beat up the Grunts with physical violence yourself. If you KO a Grunt, they will white out and be warped to the nearest Pokemon Center back down in the regions proper, where they will be arrested by an officer of the Kangaskhan Police.

FOR CHARACTERS INTENDING TO USE HONEDGES LIKE WEAPONS: due to the high volume of questions we have received on this topic (it's a popular inquiry!), we want to clarify for this Pokemon in particular —

If you choose to use a Honedge as though it were a traditional sword, the most that the Honedges will allow might be slapping the grunts with the flat side of the blade. They are still opposed to attacking/killing humans, opponents or not, and if you try to stab an opponent with them, you're going to get a really obstinate ghost sword going incorporeal and ineffectively going through them. There's also the fact that you're grabbing them by the head and swinging them around — they won't like that very much.

PLEASE NOTE: if you intend to use a Honedge in this manner anyway, we may ask that you experience light IC consequences for it later in the plot! We're not barring you from getting your sword skills on with your Honedges; we're simply pointing out that there may be natural outcomes that follow from those choices.

UPDATE: if you would like to interrogate the grunts, check here for information you can learn from them!

~

☆ THE NUMBER TO MEET OR BEAT IS 37 PARTICIPANTS.

REMEMBER: IF YOUR CHARACTER DOES NOT POST TO THE BOSS BATTLE LOG AT LEAST ONCE
(AS A TOP-LEVEL COMMENT OR IN RESPONSE TO SOMEONE ELSE'S TOP-LEVEL COMMENT)
BEFORE 9:00 PM EST on OCTOBER 30, THEY WILL NOT COUNT TOWARD THE 37-PARTICIPANT GOAL!

Team Aqua Boss Battle

[So if you've chosen to fight Team Aqua's boss, he's really not hard to find. Just head to the south and if you've passed the giant angry whale and what appears to be a pirate, you've gone too far.]

Fwahahaha! That's perfect Kyogre! Keep blasting away at them. Show them the magnificent power of the sea!

[As anyone can probably see, Archie's pretty happy about this whole situation for the most part. Then again why shouldn't he be? Kyogre's become Primal Kyogre, it's blasting away at those Team Magma losers and their Groudon over there, and he's pretty sure today's going to end with his side and the sea proving its superiority over the others once and for all.]

They may have taken out some of our Grunts, but Team Aqua's goals won't evaporate that easily. With the primal power of Kyogre on our side, there's no way we can lose today!

[He laughs again, because there's just no way that'll happen. Today's going to end with the Team Aqua flag, if they have one, flying high over the seas of the Pokemon world for sure. Unless all these trainers running around somehow foil his plans or something else happens, but what are the odds of any of that happening?]

Team Magma Boss Battle

[personal profile] pokestars 2014-10-29 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[Today is a good day.

To say that everything has gone as planned would be a gross overstatement, of course, as any rational person would be capable of telling you; there were unexpected factors adding themselves to the equation, and the entire situation had become unstable in ways that were ultimately neither favorable nor ideal – really, any rational five-year-old would be able to tell you that yesterday had not gone well.

But today the earth shakes, and Groudon's power pulses through the land like the world's lifeblood itself, and while the battlefield isn't what he'd expected all those months ago, it's everything he'd hoped for.

Here is where it ends. It's not Kalos, but in some ways it's better. It's closer, more intimate, the way that true rivalries should end; it's surely going to be a shame to crush Team Aqua as thoroughly as he intends to, but some things just can't be helped, and it's hardly his fault that Archie insists on being both objectively and empirically wrong.

He takes a brief while to regard the battlefield, to study it, to get a feel for it (outside of the sheer power of it, the energy, the vibrations of those crystals) before advancing toward it; surely those unforeseen factors will be making themselves known again today, all variables to be resolved, but he doesn't seem troubled by it, speaking to those nearest him as he goes.]

Waste as little time as possible on Team Aqua; ensure that we can keep the high ground, but don't allow yourselves to be distracted too far.

[His words are quiet but authoritative; there's an energy pulsing through them too, strong and jagged as the mountain peaks behind them.]

What we're doing is a magnificent undertaking – for the further advancement of humankind and Pokémon both! Those who would stand in our way, who would oppose such noble goals...teach them consequences. Defeat is their only option – let's give them what they seek, shall we?

[And he's confident in demeanor when he approaches the battleground proper, his strides long and his gestures sharp as he rakes one of his hands back through his hair; when his expression shifts it's equally sharp, the smile closer to baring teeth than anything pleasant as Groudon and Kyogre battle. But then it's gone just as quickly as it appeared, his features shifting into something decidedly more impassive.

His gaze, however, remains bright and alive behind the soft glint of his glasses.

Today is a good day, and it only looks to get better by the end.]

The power of Groudon and the earth itself is with us - nothing will be allowed to stand in our way!

Mate, I think a whole fair buncha people 'ave been provin' ya wrong all day.

[Joker's words are accompanied by the heavy wingbeats of Torch the Charizard- he's elected to skip all the Grunts by way of Fly. They had their turn yesterday, and honestly? He's tired of them all, especially since they didn't know as much as he'd hoped.]

[But this guy? This guy has the annoying sort of arrogance Joker is more than a little familiar with, the kind that comes from being in charge and thinking that makes you a little more special than everyone else. There's also the fact that he looks like the prime example of a pencil pusher with that get up, which just adds to Joker's assumption.]

[And if he's in charge, maybe he'll have better answers to questions like "Why the bleedin' hell is my Charizard spikier" and "What the sweet tits is that enormous thing behind you". Especially that last one, as just the sight of it when it had appeared had gotten Joker's heart pumping. Run the hell away had been going through his mind, but yet here he is. Landing down with his feet balanced on Torch's shoulder and arm while his one good hand is gripped tight around her head protrusions. He's not particularly sure of this battle, but he does know one thing: This is his home now and he won't let interlopers fuck it up.]

[He's not afraid to punch a nerd, Maxie, fuckin' bring it. Redhead alliance doesn't count here.]

If I beat ya, will ya tell me more 'bout what the sweet hell is goin' on here?

[And then, with a nod to Torch, the sun's heat seems to get more intense. Hope you wanted a nice Sunny Day for your big battle, Maxie.]
pokestars: (maxie)

[personal profile] pokestars 2014-10-29 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
If you beat me...?

[His gaze flicks up rather pointedly toward the Sunny Day, but if he's bothered he doesn't show it; quite to the contrary, since that's exactly what he wanted.

Perhaps you'll be more easily handled than he'd thought; perhaps not. That's where the interest comes in, and oh, this is looking interesting.

For the time being, however, he finds one of his Pokéballs and tosses it out in front of him; it's either a very idle gesture or a very restrained one, it's a bit difficult to tell for people not familiar with him in the least.]

You'll get exactly what you earn. No more, no less.

[...And that...is a Houndoom you're going to be facing off against, looks like. Seems he's been supplementing his team a bit during the off-season.]

[One thing's absolutely clear: this isn't just a battle any more. It's a full-on war.

The arrival of the legendaries is impossible to miss. By far, this is the closest Riku's ever been to one, barring the golems some years back. They're massive, imposing, and cast the battlefield in a far more dismal light than before. The one upside is that he's gotten a good night sleep. He's managed to do a little restocking. One of those bizarre stones from the basement now rests in his pocket. While he's not sure what it is, it has to be important. Why else would they be hiding in the basement?

Well, one thing's for sure. There isn't time to dawdle, so, on the back of his trusty Charizard, Riku soars out of the Elite Four's stronghold and towards the sea. As they move, a flash of light envelopes them both. Flare lets out a startled grunt, but when the light fades, he's changed.

His scales are darker. Blue flames spew from the corners of his mouth. Riku tries to say something, but his shock renders him temporarily mute.

Besides, they've got bigger fish to fry.

So, in comes one young man on the back of his raging dragon. As they hit the ground, Riku shakes his head and rolls his eyes.]

Didn't your mom ever tell you not to count your fish before they hatch?

[Okay, so that joke was terrible, but given the whole aquatic motif, he really couldn't resist.]

[Works out great for everyone then, doesn't it?]

[The appearance of the Houndoom doesn't seem to deter either trainer or Pokemon. In fact, Torch just seems to get more excited, her tail whipping around dangerously behind her. Joker skips away from it casually even as he chatters on.]

Then it looks like we'll have ta work extra hard, eh? Lessee who's more fired up.

[Torch doesn't need anymore prompting than that, opening her maw and spewing out Flamethrower to really light up the field.]

[Wow, Riku that awful. Still, it gets a laugh from Archie. That Mega Charizard's pretty cool and all, but he's not intimidated by it.]

Didn't yours teach you not to play with fire?

[See, he can do the bad joke thing too. But, that's enough joking around for now. There's a glare from him as he reaches for a Pokeball, still not terribly concerned with what's going on here.]

You're meddling in things you don't understand here, kid. Since today's such a great day for Team Aqua, I'll give you a chance to back away now. If not...

[Archie sends out a Sharpedo, which reacts to the stones and crystals and becomes Mega Sharpedo. So it went from a weird torpedo shark to a weird spiky torpedo shark.]

If not, I, Team Aqua's Archie, will have to extinguish those flames!

[But suddenly! A mega-evolved Absol comes dashing in with wings unfurled, like a beautiful avenger of justice. Riding him is Ryner Lute, and riding him are a Joltik (sporting a sweet Eviolite under his tiny top hat) and a Clefairy (already casting all her usual buffs for boss fights ahead of time because there's no reason to fight fair here). His other three mons are back picking off more grunts, but that's fine. They can fend for themselves.

No holding back today. Ryner had seen those legends in books. (Frustratingly little of them for his curiosity to be satisfied, but he had.) If the leaders of these red and blue-clad idiots thought they could handle them... well, then they could probably handle full power anyway.

On Ryner's shout, Jehra leapt into the air, and at the zenith Ryner leapt off of him, leaving Rose to ride the Absol herself. Upon landing, Ryner then ran toward the man who was obviously the leader of the blue folks...]

What the hell is your problem?!?!?

[...to attempt to punch him in the face.

No one ever said that the leader deserved any more respect than the grunts, after all.]

[Tobias does not like the look of this. He's been sending grunts into the lake as much as possible, but at some point he had to stop and rest his Pokemon. Still, he's had time to think. They need to take out the commanders.]

[And lucky for him, they've shown themselves. He and Regal fly out towards the lake, dodging around the blasting water and fire from opposite sides of the clearing. They land in front of Archie, and Tobias calls out to him.]

Look, I'll give you a fair chance. Stop this and leave.

[He knows he's not the strongest trainer, but he has to give it a try.]
islandshore: (Rival Riku wants to battle!)

[personal profile] islandshore 2014-10-29 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[Riku shrugs, chuckling under his breath.]

Thanks for the offer, but I'd hate to miss out on the fireworks. With all the fuss, how could I back down?

[Maybe it's a bit reckless, but hey, keeping a confident air masks the slivers of fear splintering his heart. After all, this guy's experienced. He's got a stinking legendary on his side--

And, okay. His shark just got spikier. That's new.

His hand briefly slides to his belt; he's ready to send out his Sceptile instead, but Flare steps out in front of him, shaking his head.]

All right. Go ahead and show him what you've got.

[Flare's wings beat in excitement. His tail swishes back and forth. His first move? To get a little altitude before charging in with an attempted Thunder Punch.]

[Well, Archie, surprisingly enough one of the foreigners doesn't seem too interested in doing battle with you right now.

Oh, he's nearby, and he's got an Electrode with him so he could engage members of your water-based team if he so chose. But for now? He's keeping a distance that's actually halfway reasonable, and he's...actually doing a decent job picking off any members of that team in red that happen to get too close, either via electricity or whatever he's doing with those crystal shards that he's got on him that's causing all the explosions after he throws them.

If he manages to catch eye contact with you, you are just going to be getting a smile and the briefest of salutes; it's been a long time since he's done one, but it's still military-perfect.

Looks like he's yours for the duration, Archie; just let him know where you want him, if anywhere.]

[Trying to start a fistfight? Really? What is wrong with you? Don't you guys know that the proper way to deal with a bad guy is with a Pokemon battle?]

Huh?

[He's moving away by congratulations Ryner, that managed to hit him in the shoulder! So he staggers back a little.]

Not a smart move, guy.

[Rather than use his hands like some sort of uncultured barbarian, he'll send out a Tentacruel instead, and it'll move between him and Ryner. Try punching that.]

Why are you interfering anyway? What I'm trying to do will benefit the entire world!

[personal profile] explosivecombat 2014-10-29 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[As far as Kimblee is concerned, this is really a matter of simple logic; one side has a giant whale and copious amounts of water, while the other has a groundbeast and what looks like lots of ground and fire. The latter group is led by a guy who was probably friends with Archer in a previous life; the former...well, everything about the former is a beautiful disaster but they seem to be enjoying themselves.

As has been noted before, this is no longer a turf battle, this is flat-out war; in other words, it's exactly what Kimblee was promised, and none of this is disappointing him.

One of those crystals at the side of the battlefield explodes early on; it happens so suddenly that it's difficult to say what caused it. A skirmish that got too close, maybe. But either way, once people have moved on, Kimblee's going to be getting some of those shards; he's also got Ayanami with him, and the Electrode is more than content to charge them for him when asked.

So we've got a man with improvised bombs who's a little overstimulated right now, and we've got a bunch of grunts in red, and before long we've got an explosion and holy crap, he is doing a good amount of damage to the red-uniformed team.

He's avoiding the ones in blue, however.

Entirely.

He's always had a habit of picking the side most likely to win, after all...so raise the colors high, apparently.]

[It's okay, Tobias. If they're Team Aqua Grunts, they should be used to the water. And if they're Team Magma Grunts getting tossed, then good. Throw em all in a lake, Archie doesn't care.

What he does care about though is the whole asking him to leave thing. That's kinda rude. After all, he's about to strike the final blow for Team Aqua and put an end to this potentially region destroying rivalry once and for all. Seriously, does he come over to your region, get up in your face and start trouble?

...wait, don't answer that.]

Stop? We can't stop. Not until Team Magma no longer poses a threat to the Pokemon world!

[Never mind the fact that what he's doing isn't exactly good either.]

If anything, we're the good guys here!

[This is what Team Aqua actually believes.]

[If you could get to his home region he would be impressed. Still, he'll let him try to explain himself.]

You are? Because none of your group has been able to explain why that is. Mind enlightening us?

[This should be... interesting.]

[personal profile] pokestars 2014-10-29 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Okay then mysterious stranger. He's not sure exactly why this guy's helping out, but clearly it must because he's realized that Team Aqua is superior and that the sea must be expanded to help all life, or whatever the propaganda of the day is.

So he's not going to look a gift horse in the mouth here and is just going to grin in return and point towards a few more of those Team Magma Grunts. Take enough of them out and who knows, maybe you too can get a pirate outfit and a bunch of Pokemon that don't really fit the whole ocean motif going on here!]

Locked for Envy and Beast

[personal profile] pipers_son 2014-10-29 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
For Beast

[The night has passed by more or less quietly, and Joker has been thankful. He's checked in on everyone he knows, kept close to Beast and Jimmy, and made sure to more than happily used all the resources available to them. There's been no telling what morning will bring...]

[But the rumbling of the earth has him bolt outside, his Pokemon at his heels save Invidia who stays close to Beast and... He has to pause.]

[He's seen a whole lot of bizarre things in his time in Johto, but as he stares up and up and up at the massive beast of red... Joker's gone pale and his eyes are wide.]

Good Lord in Heaven...

For Envy

[It's later in the day that Joker's absconded from his battle with Maxie- snobbish little bookworm- when he spots a familiar head of spiky green hair. He nudges Torch to dive further down.]

[Besides the black eye from yesterday, he's also now missing a shoe.]

Oi! Envy!
pokestars: (maxie)

[personal profile] pokestars 2014-10-29 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Joker, that pun was terrible, and given that Maxie is more or less the physical embodiment of the fun police that will just get a really agitated hmph and the most dramatic eyeroll on the planet.

That said, however, he's anticipating the Flamethrower - there's no sense in powering up fire moves if you're not going to use them - and he's quick to meet it, intercepting the blast with one of his own; "more fired up" indeed, it seems.

The clash is explosive, all heat and flames and force, though Maxie doesn't seem inclined to flinch from it despite his proximity; he spends most of his time in volcanoes, it's going to take more heat than this to shake him.]

Interesting that you would oppose us so strongly, despite your own admission that you know nothing of what we're trying to do.
armoredsoul: (WTF?!)

[personal profile] armoredsoul 2014-10-29 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[The whole situation was insane.]

[The two beasts (he could hardly think of them as Pokemon) looming over the battlefield were terrifying, and it was fortunate that the things seemed more interested in fighting eachother than dealing with the small pests swarming around beneath them. Al was sure if he stopped to thing about this whole mess, he'd freeze up from the sheer impossibility of it. How, how were they going to drive these people back when they had things like this at their disposal?!]

[It's with these thoughts and as many healing items in his bag and arms he can carry that Alphonse runs out into the fray, one of the odd little charms that had been passed around clipped to a belt loop. He can't stand against the big guys, he knows this, but he can still fight the swarming underlings, and he can act as courier for those fighting the bosses of these groups. His Pokemon all charge along with him, though as his Pidgeot takes flight there's a strange flash of light--]

[And when Al looks up, she's changed into what seems like a whole new evolution! He's stunned right along with her for several moments, but he shakes it off quickly. If she's evolved, maybe she's strong enough to ride on for a while even without Fly!]

[Soon enough Al's riding on her back, skimming a few stories above the ground as the rest of his team races along below, bowling through any hapless grunts in their way. And when he spots a friendly trainer in need of help, they fly down as he waves wildly.]
Hey! I've got Potions--how many do you need?

[MEANWHILE]

[Lisa's had enough of taking on these small fries. Sure, helping the other trainers here was good, and she got to blast the heck out of some of these jerks messing up her home turf while they did, but it's just not enough. Not enough to get her blood boiling the way she likes--it's not enough of a challenge!]

[So when Al's attention is elsewhere the Quilava darts away, heading off into the mass of unfortunately nautical chumps surrounding Kyogre. She darts and dodges through, ignoring them for now--she's got bigger fish to fry.]

Hey! Hey, you, big guy! I'mma fry you into freaking calamari!

[Be glad he didn't aim for the groin this time.

But when the Tentacruel appears, Ryner jumps back a bit, and Jehra comes in growling to stand in front of his papa. Rose is still riding on his back, arm ready to use any of her attacks (...let's face it probably Thunderbolt) at a moment's notice.

[personal profile] cobraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 2014-10-29 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[So in the middle of all this stupidity, Cobra Commander is opting to not actually fight anyone. It's simple really. If Team Aqua, Team Magma, and most of these trainers want to beat the crap out of each other at this point, then he's fine with that. Good. That means once this is all done, he can swoop in and pick up the pieces.

But of course, he can't just sit in the house and wait for you all to wipe each other out. No, that would be boring. So instead, he's grabbed an empty crate from the house, which he's standing on now. And appears to be wearing a cape that he wasn't wearing before. Clearly since Lance has about a billion of them, he won't miss this one, right?

But grand theft cape aside, Cobra's standing on his soapbox, with his upgraded bodyguard near by in case anyone decides to start trouble. And he's going to give a speech, because why not?]

Today we face what is possssibly the single greatest challenge in the hissstory of this world. A three sssided battle, against...

[Er, what are those Legendaries called again? Shamu and Godzilla immediately spring to mind, but highly doubts that.]

Against forces the likes of which, few of us have ever sssseen!

[There, saved it.]

So though the odds may be difficult to overcome, march onward and fight towards victory! Victory! Don't sssstop fighting until you've won!

[Okay, that was a little...lacking, but he's trying to play it safe here. Should things go wrong, he wants to make sure that him and his shiny new cape aren't going to incur the wrath of the victors.]

[It's October 30th, and by the looks of things, someone's gone to all the trouble of orchestrating the end of the fucking world for Schuldig's birthday. He's almost touched, really, and that's why for a while he doesn't really participate in the battle at all; it's dangerous as hell (and some might say outright suicidal) to be up on the rooftop of the Elite Four's house when the Legendaries make their appearance, but he's got his Alakazam with him and he's tossing one of those pretty little stones from the basement up into the air so it drops straight back down into his palm, and he's never seen anything like these color-coded monsters lurching forth to fill the sky with energy and fire but all things considered, he half-thinks he kind of wants one.

Maybe it's the recognition that no one really dies here that's making him reckless. It's plain to see that a single blast from one of those things would incinerate him in an instant, so why worry? The worst that could happen is that he'd miss out on what's looking to be an incredibly interesting show, and none of this is his battle so he's quite content to remain a spectator and simply watch the cataclysm unfold before his eyes.

Quite content, that is, save one whim that crosses his mind.

Laughing to himself, he rests a hand on his Alakazam's shoulder and directs her with a silent mental order; in a flash, they're gone from the roof, only to reappear a short distance from the man in the hideous turtleneck that would make even Aya Fujimiya cringe. Of the two, the one in blue admittedly seems like he's much more fun — but then, Schuldig's always been a little partial to men in glasses.

Briskly, he digs out his PokeGear with one hand and raises the other in amicable greeting, as though they were standing on a boardwalk and not, you know, hanging out in the mountains with a monstrosity of a hellbeast looming overhead.]

'Scuse me!

[Isn't he charming.]

I can see you're a little busy right now, sorry about that, but would you mind taking a picture for me?

[...Very charming indeed. What in the world are you - ]

...A picture of what?

[Just let him get the important question out of the way first.]

[That's definitely going to connect, and stagger the Sharpedo, but...]

Thought you might try something like that.

[Not the Thunder Jab, but something close quarters, of course.]

Sharpedo, Crunch! Teach him to respect the might of the ocean!

[Is it a Water attack? No. But Crunch plus Strong Jaw's not exactly fun either. Charizard might want to watch out since Mega Sharpedo's trying to do its best impression of Jaws right about now.]
