[If you happen to be around in the Dangan House today, you might hear the sound of something smashing in the living room, along with a loud thud.

Upon further investigation, you'll make the fun discovery of one Celestia Ludenberg, in her usual outfit, lying on the floor with her stunned Gothitelle standing beside her.

She's resting on her side, limbs splayed out awkwardly and one hand resting on the shattered remains of a teacup. It had apparently been full, judging by the dark stain rapidly permeating across the floor, and the saucer is still sitting on the coffee table where Celes had intended to set it down. Her eyes are closed, and her position makes it hard to tell if she's breathing.

...

At least there's no signs of anything magenta?]

[Chihiro is usually at the house, working on a project of some sort or just helping his Leavanny with a project of her own. Today it's actually the latter, since she's been very busy working on getting some new scarves made now that Christmas is coming.

He had been seated on his bed with a long, half made scarf coiled around his neck, serving as the dummy as Shiruku worked when the loud crash sounded downstairs. He stood so fast that the scarf nearly choked him, and only after a minute of fussing were he and Shiruku able to pull him free. Afterwards, Chihiro rushes out of his room and down the stairs with Shiruku hot on his heels, his new Sylveon- Suisen following close behind.

When Chihiro comes into the living room to see Celes lying prone on the floor like that, well. His first reaction is to react quite badly, jerking back so violently that he stumbles against the couch, shrieking.]

Celes-san!!

[Fujisaki isn't the only one who ends up making a beeline for the living room when that smash-and-thud echoes throughout the building; Kirigiri had been just coming in the back door, accompanied by her Furfrou, when the noise occurred. As such, her timing coincides nearly identically with Fujisaki's; by the time he's hit the bottom of the stairs and made it into the doorway of the living room, she's likewise in the hall.

And she herself appears in the doorway right around when he starts screaming.]

...

[Naturally, her reaction is considerably more...understated, but hey, at least she's here?]

[Fujisaki's screaming seems to snap Victoria the Gothitelle out of her trance; in a second, she's bending down to her trainer, shaking her and clearly trying not to panic. There's no response, however - Celes looks peaceful enough, but she's not waking up.

It's then that Victoria finally seems to notice the two humans standing in the room; being an experienced Psychic Pokemon tends to be useful in these sorts of situations.]

I don't know what has happened! She is not waking up!

[Both Kirigiri and Fujisaki will be able to hear that voice in their heads; at least she's able to communicate with them.]

[Chihiro doesn't say anything right away, his voice lost in his shock as he just stands there stiffly in the doorway. His Sylveon walks around his legs and over to where Celes is lying, meanwhile, sitting down on the carpet carefully. She tips her head to the side and reaches out one of her ribbon like appendages oh so carefully, letting it touch her forearm.

Eventually he's able to speak again, a little overwhelmed with relief that there's no blood or anything.]

Did- did she faint?

Please make sure she's breathing and nothing's broken, at least.

[Meanwhile, since they're handling the body, Kirigiri will leave them to it for a few moments and turn her attention to the Gothitelle in their midst.]

Victoria-san, you've been with her this whole time? Can you describe exactly what happened in the minutes leading up to her fall?

[There's nothing obviously wrong with Celes' body; she just appears to be asleep. Straightening back up, Victoria folds her hands in front of her body and looks sadly down at her trainer, trying to keep herself calm. This...surely it can be explained!]

Everything was as normal...she was just about to sit down, when she suddenly fell...I thought she had just tripped, but then she did not get up.

[She falls silent for a moment as she reaches down, gently fixing Celes' bangs.]

It was very strange. It was like...she had fallen asleep standing up, the way she fell. It was almost graceful.

[...]

She's been very tired lately.

[Well, a graceful fall is something only Celestia Ludenberg can pull off. For the time being, though, Chihiro just stays silent and listens to Victoria talk. His Sylveon seems preoccupied with letting her bow-things run over her hand gently in something of a soothing manner, even though there's no way Celes would feel it.]

So that's how it is. She didn't seem dizzy or disoriented at all? Everything was perfectly normal, up until the moment when she collapsed.

[She crosses over to the body, crouching down to examine it — though, out of apparent respect for Victoria being right there, she doesn't get too thorough or intrusive about it.

Thankfully.]

[...please don't go sifting through Celestia-sama's clothing, Kirigiri-san...]

Yes. As I said, she's been tired, but not to the point where I would fear she'd collapse. It just...came out of nowhere. I was so shocked that I couldn't even catch her.

[And she looks rather devastated about that. She's...such a failure...]

What should we do? I don't want to leave her here.

[Chihiro looks down and watches Kirigiri as she examines Celes a bit more closely, his Sylveon shifting to the side a bit to give her some room. He can hear his Leavanny shifting nervously from one foot to the other just behind him.]

We...we should try to get her to her room.

Her dress was splashed, but there doesn't seem to be anything broken and it doesn't look as though any of the shards from the cup cut her when she fell. It should be safe enough to move her.

[She is, in fact, clearing away those shards even as she speaks; with her gloves, there's little to fear of being cut.]

With nothing apparently wrong with her and no unusual symptoms leading up to her faint, it's possible that this is the result of one of those comas that strike people occasionally — Ishimaru-kun was subject to one earlier this year, and so was Naegi-kun. If that's the case...

[And she goes quiet, sitting back on her heels as she regards Celes's expressionless face with an equally unintelligible expression.]

...She'll need to be handled carefully when she wakes up, considering what she'll have been through.

Are you talking about the execution?

[Victoria tilts her head slightly, folding her hands in front of her body. Upon hearing Kirigiri's prognosis, she's visibly relaxed - although apparently, her trainer is not out of the woods yet.]

She mentioned it to me once. She doesn't like to talk about it.

[...]

My trainer is dead, isn't she? Where you two come from.

[Chihiro's breath catches a little at that, and if he was silent before, he's really quiet now. There are a lot of things following his own death that he has yet to learn about...not that he realizes that must have happened after his own to begin with. It's not something he's been thinking about very often lately, either.]

[To her credit, Kirigiri's brief hesitation to launch into the details is almost certainly indicative of her attempt to exercise some kind of tact here — both for Victoria's sake and for Chihiro's. Once, she probably would've answered without flinching, and wouldn't have regretted it.

Now...things are a little different.]

She wasn't one of the survivors, no. I know...that's a future she'd hoped to change.

[By throwing all the rest of them under the bus in the process but you know what.]

She was on the verge of the trial that will lead to her execution before she came here. For that reason...it would be for the best if we had a plan already in place to address her likely emotional state when she wakes up.

...I see.

[Falling silent for a moment, Victoria contemplates Celes' body, frowning.]

Even with my abilities, I cannot predict how she will be when she awakens...it would be best if you warned your friends.

[Suddenly, Victoria's eyes begin to glow - as does Celes. Slowly, she floats into the air as if lifted by a pair of invisible arms, her limbs and hair dangling gently.]

I can get her to her room. Do you know when she will wake up?

[Chihiro's Sylveon steps back when Victoria lifts Celes from the ground, moving to stand by her trainer's side.

Then, Chihiro looks over at Kirigiri, worrying the edge of his skirt between his fingers.]

I've been told this lasts usually...a week. ...right?

[freshprints]

[She nods, getting back to her feet herself so that she can follow them just as well.]

That's correct. Assuming that's what happened, there isn't much we can do for the duration aside from keeping her secured and comfortable.

[...]

Thank you for the assistance, Victoria-san.

It is I who should be thanking you two, for your kindness.

[To the bedroom, then. On the stairs, Celes' Lopunny is waiting (in all her frilly attire), having been summoned by Victoria to assist.]

I know what my trainer has done to you all, and while I know it means nothing coming from me...I am sorry for the trouble she has caused.

[Sighing, Victoria slowly sends Celes' body through her bedroom door, where more of her Pokemon are waiting to arrange her on her bed.]

It sounds like she's going to pay for it.

[Chihiro goes quiet again as they walk, feeling a bit of a chill rush through him at Victoria's words. He hesitates at the door, watching the proceedings with his hands folded nervously at his front, gaze turning from Celes to her Pokemon to Kirigiri and back. It's only when he feels something brush a little against his leg- being one of his Sylveon's ribbons- does he relax slightly.]
