Summary: After all the shenanigans of Hoennween, it's about time everybody had a chance to relax and unwind, courtesy of some actually benign NPCs. With all the luxuries of the Hotel Richissime waiting at their disposal, that shouldn't be too difficult a prospect!

A FEW OTHER SETTING NOTES:

• At the moment, this log spans the entirety of the New Year's Eve plot, so starters may be posted for any time on either day of the event. If things start getting massive and it looks like an overflow log will be necessary, we'll definitely see about putting one up, and will link it to this one if need be.

• The Event Itinerary can be found here! Remember that participating in this course of events is not mandatory, but it's what will be going on in the grand scheme of things over the course of the event.

• All event participants are being housed on the fourth and fifth floors of the hotel. Your bedrooms are laid out like this; if you participated in our IC Rooming Roulette, you can find your buddy on this table here!

• Most activities here will be free! ICly, your characters will use their room cards to "pay" for most things, and the charges will be applied to their room (which of course, they are not paying for personally). Gift shops, parts of the casino, and food not provided as part of the event are not chargeable to your rooms and characters will have to use their own money in those locations.

• Underage characters may use the casino; however, they may be subject to some social scrutiny and side-eyeing in the event that they attempt to get in on one of the high-roller tables.

A NOTE ABOUT USING THREADS ON THIS LOG FOR AC:

Because of how our AC period works (the grace week into January still counting toward December), all threads on this log are valid toward December's AC, regardless of timestamp! However, because the log technically spans two different months and we want to encourage tagging out on it, we have also made this decision:

On this log and this log alone, comment threads timestamped in January (OOCly) that reach AC-length may be used towards January's AC, as well. Therefore, if a thread on this log reaches AC length with 10+ comments timestamped in January, you can use it toward January's AC (assuming the same thread has not already been used to satisfy December's AC).

That sounds about right! Whoever was running this party.... [She paused, thinking hard about it until the name she'd heard came to her.] Lysandre, he's the host, I think. He must be really rich, if he's doing all this for us.

We should absolutely come back here. I really want to be able to get outside and have a look around. This city looks so big, there has to be some other interesting things out here!

Yeah, no kidding. He really seems to have a lot of money, and this -- sure is a very nice way to spend some of it.

[So, thank you, Mister Lysandre, it's very appreciated even if she's not sure about whether or not this is really suspicious. But shhhhh, she's not letting any of those doubts slip anywhere outside of her mind, that's just one worst case scenario and she always needs to think of those too.]

I really want to see everything outside this hotel too. Never too many places to go to while we're in this... world. [after being locked inside the walls -- even though she's one of those, who get to go outside but it's always dangerous there and still hard to believe how mostly safe it is here.] And big cities are really interesting here, we have nothing like them back home.

[Veronica's voice trailed off. Judging from her tone, it wasn't a very happy memory. Eeeeeh, there was an attempt to try to shake that feeling off.] Y-yeah, there's a lot out there we still don't know about. This is an entire region that I don't think any of us knew about.

Huh, that's surpsising. Makes me wonder if there are even many more regions, that any of us don't even know about. How much of Johto and Kanto have you seen?

Thank god. [She remarked quietly. She didn't know how that old woman would even be alive here, considering what happened to her. Good riddance to a bad job, in her opinion.] It's nothing, anyways. You don't have to worry about it.

Hmm? I've only seen about half of Johto. I haven't gotten to Kanto, yet. I've heard that it's an entirely different region from Johto, though.

[It's nothing?] If you say so... [Petra sounds unsure.] It'd be better here anyway. If it's about special powers, they wouldn't even have them here and if it's about words, me and your other friends here would defend you, so don't worry about it either way.

[But look who is talking because she sure as hell worries about the possibility of her killer coming here... not like she'd have titan shifting powers here either. Doesn't mean she can't try to make others feel better about the people, who they don't want to meet here. Not to mention it can be about things that happened back home -- that... well, that's something inside one's head, but friends could try to help with that too!]

Yeah, sounds like it if the trip there really takes three days on a ferry. [WEIRD for someone from walls canon.] Especially with a ferry that's from here, which is probably a lot faster than boats back home. Anyway, half of Johto? Sounds interesting, I'm really looking forward to seeing more than Cherrygrove. Guess we'll go somewhere like Violet once we return there from here.

Super... powers? [She frowned, slowly shaking her head.] No, it's not her that has the powers. Heh. She's not anything, anymore. It's my big sister that has the powers.

[The scary, unstoppable powers.] Oh, Violet is a nice city. I stayed there for a while, and I even got the gym badge. It's supposed to let you be able to fly around on a Pokémon, but you need something else for that, apparently.
