armies of the night evil taking flight
Who: Carter Blake (
lieutenantantichrist), Cobra Commander (
cobraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa), Red (
ladywithnovoice, and Snake (
silentscales)!
Where: Route 46 and then later, Cherrygrove City
When: January 27th!
Summary: The Flying Fortress of Doom!
Rating: I can't imagine this goes higher than PG-13
Log:
After months of plotting, planning, vaguely hinting at things, and showing off various Pokemon attacks, the day has finally come for Cobra Commander to put his plan into action. So the first stop is Route 46 in the early morning to have his Magnezones link up with the machine. Then after that, he'll head for Cherrygrove and ensure that today will be a day the Pokemon world will never forget.
And in fact, once he's in the air, he'll activate his Pokegear and ensure that the whole world knows what happens today. Because today is a day to remember because today is the day that all his hard work finally pays off!
Probably.
{OOC: Short starter I know, but if you check out the headers below, you should have some more information for your characters!}

LOCKED TO SNAKE
no subject
From what could normally be seen of Snake he was a generally good Rocket member, making liberal use of their training facilities and always bringing in higher-level pokèmon for their bosses if he hasn't taken up some other job for a while.
He had no reason to seem suspicious besides the nerves he hides behind his usual impartial expression. At least he hopes there is no other reason for him to seem suspicious.
no subject
“You there! What are you doing here? Who are you?”
He doesn't suspect a thing, of course, that's just how he normally addresses strangers. By demanding to know what they're doing around his stuff. Which explains why he's so popular here in the Pokemon world.
no subject
"This is Snake, says John." He just tries to stay natural, though even when he's not his expression rarely changes much.
no subject
“Very well then Ssssnake. Or John. Or whatever your name is! What are you doing here? Thisss location is classified!"
Not really, but close enough.
"Did sssomeone station you here?"
no subject
Snake tries to think quick, knowing that he can be in huge trouble if caught. "We're here to guard this location, says John." That seemed a reasonable enough lie. Now just to try to avoid a heart attack while they wait to see if Cobra accepts it.
no subject
“I sssee. Sssecurity detail. That makes sense.”
Why wouldn't there be a security detail attached to the battle platform? He didn't ask for one, but given Dist's...being Dist, he can just assume that he assigned one to prevent anything happening to what he probably considers “his creation.”
But it's really Cobra's creation, so there.
“Very well then. You're dismissssed. I have no need for any further security.”

LOCKED TO CARTER BLAKE
LOCKED TO CARTER BLAKE
He cranes his head upwards at the machine in the sky and groans,] Oh, for fuck's sake.
[And now pieces are falling off and raining down, and they're big metal bastards with giant eyeballs.
Now that Blake can do something about.
He grabs a pokeball from his belt and flings it, so out comes a Rapidash. If a max-level fire unicorn can't handle this shit, nothing can.
He points to the eyeball things.] Fireball the hell out of those things!
[The horse rears up and lets out a Fire Blast.]
no subject
What? Who dares attack Cobra Commander?
[He's trying to steady himself, barking at Magnezones to keep firing but undergo evasive maneuvers, while continuing to fire. Oh, and digging out his binoculars to see who the heck is shooting at him.]
Who on earth is that idiot?
[Why he's even asking is beyond him. It hasn't really occurred to him that nobody in the air can answer him and nobody on the ground can probably hear him.
Maybe he should've asked Dist to build in a speaker system.]
no subject
[The sight of the fireball smacking into the metal hide of the thing makes him bark in triumph.]
Fireball it some more! And get those magnet bastards!
[The Rapidash, who is used to idiosyncratic commands by now, indeed turns her Fire Blast on those magnet bastards.]
no subject
Evassssive manuevers! Evas-
[And one of those fireballs impacts the Magnezone for a critical hit, so that's all kinds of bad.]
No, you idiot! Dodge! Dodge!
[How it's supposed to do that while it's connected to the platform, Cobra has no idea, but it should!
It's not going to though.]
no subject
[He points up in the sky.] Inferno the son of a bitch!
[And here comes a whole new variety of horsefire.]
no subject
Thisss can't be happening!
[Unfortunately it is, and now one of them's fainted, which is sort of causing the machine to list to one side now. Which exposes the other Magnezones for anyone looking to score yet another direct hit.]
no subject
Finish it off, horse!
[The Rapidash gives him a look. Blake holds his hands up and corrects himself a little testily.]
Excuse me. Finish it off Lady B.
[There. Is being polite so hard?
With a flick of her hoof, the horse rears back and fires a solid cone of flame at the mass of Magnezones.]
no subject
Nothing really specific, just lots of loud angry noises coming from that device as it moves out of range.]
no subject
Get outta my sky and stay out!
LOCKED TO RED
Sorry it took so long!
Down from some of the buildings, a certain redhead is watching the chaos with steely eyes. At the right moment, she nods to her Gardevoir. That's why, out of nowhere, a pair of figures suddenly teleport onto Cobra Commander's platform. And one of them aims a straight punch right at his helmeted head.
That's, of course, Red. If looks could kill...
Oh look these keywords are actually accurate for once.
“What are you doing, you idiot?”
He pushes himself off the windshield and takes a swing at Red, and um...look, between stuff falling off, Blake's attack, and then Cobra Commander falling all over the place, this is hardly the most stable arena for a fistfight, so everyone involved should probably be watching their step right about now.
no subject
Red ducks away from the hit, her own unsteadiness corrected by the Gardevoir keeping an eye on her. Instead of a verbal answer, Cobra will find someone yelling in his head. ::You're the obnoxious scumbag who's the idiot! You're lucky I don't kick you straight out of this tasteless slab of metal!::
The good thing about having a Psychic type translate all your rage for you? It leaves the hands free and keeps her from being out of breath. Another 'mon is released, a tiny little Chatot that immediately perches on her shoulder. And if Cobra doesn't do anything, it's immediately going to burst out with a Sing.
no subject
“Stop trying to disstract me with that pointlessss Pokemon!”
Yeah, he's just going to try and throw another punch again. Because that is clearly a winning strategy today.
no subject
While her Pokemon focus on using Sing against the Magnezones outside- this thing is going down one way or another- she gives a kick towards his knees.
no subject
“You'll pay for that, you...”
He's trying to get to his feet, but there's plenty of time to land another blow before he does so.
no subject
There's another hard kick going right for his face again.
no subject
But regardless of what happens there, the kick connects sending Cobra's head back along with the rest of him and now he's sort of teetering on the edge of the platform.
One good hit's probably all it'll take to knock him off of it. And since he's got a parachute, it's not like he can fall to his death or anything like that.
