[Under the light of the full moon, the Mysterious Feathers™ begin to glow.
In the hours that follow after they sprawl out to sleep, those who had the good fortune (or at least the insatiable curiosity) to pick up one of those feathers earlier in the week will come to discover that something very strange is happening across the regions of Johto and Kanto. There's a saying about what happens when you let your mind wander; this time, though, it's a little more than just one's mind that's going wandering, as dream after dream stretches out before you like a horizon just begging to be chased.
Don't worry about getting lost, dreamers; as real and vivid as they may seem, your surroundings are really only visions and illusions, and in the end the failsafe way to escape from them is to simply wake up. If and when you do, you might feel perfectly well-rested or as on-edge as if you'd just jolted awake from a nightmare; like the dreams themselves, there's really no telling how the experience will play out for you, being different and unique to everyone.
But for now, you've got the whole night ahead of you, filled with places to go and people to see. Might as well make the most of it while it lasts...]

AS YOU SHOULD
As soon as Envy's hands slip away from Wrath, a force stronger than anything the thousands of stick-thin arms had shown previously surges forth, under and against him like some kind of riptide, sweeping the two Homunculi away from each other.
Envy is being carried back to the doorway.
Wrath is being dragged deeper in, his face a pale blot in the sea of black.

He hadn't wanted this to happen, he hadn't thought that this would happen--stupid, STUPID. He struggles against the tide of hands, beating at them and screaming every curse he knows, but even with all of his strength he can't fight them.
He'd wanted out, but not like this.
"Wrath! Damn it, STOP! You can't do this!"

His screams and shrieks do nothing to slow the tide.
Which sweeps him straight out of the massive stone doors and into the blinding whiteness of the Outside.

But it's closed as he reaches it, and he beats on the stone and tries to work his fingers into the seam. He's pried these doors open before, shoved through even when he shouldn't have been able to. Surely he can do it again.
"Open up, you bastards! Let me back in! Don't I have anything you want?!"
He doesn't even realize how very like a young Edward Elric he looks and sounds, bashing his fists against the Gate and shouting for it to open and let him take his little brother back.

Unfortunately, much like it does for any being not currently bestowed with superhuman strength, it remains stubbornly shut. Not even Envy's powers will let him budge it here, inside the head of someone who thinks the Gate is inescapable.
Sorry, Envy.
